Welcome to my channel, I am Jeff, and this is my channel where I discuss my music loves. I have a fairly wide music genre pallet, I do mainly spend much of the time in the rock, hard rock, and melodic metal realms. You will still find me delving occasionally in classic rock, progressive rock, psychedelic rock, and contemporary jazz. While most of my material here deals with vinyl records, I do have a large compact disc collection, and I even show a bit of my real band stuff from my life as a cover band drummer. The focus is on the music and the artists. Please be kind and keep it cordial in the comments section. Remember, music is very subjective, and we all have differing opinions - accept those differences.

Hi Jeff!!! Awesome vinyl collection, from the first era of the band i'm still missing Killers..... i also discover the band with "TNOTB" thanks to my brother, it was a game changer to me (musically speaking). I totally agree with your thoughts about the Blaze bailey era of the band and the later ones with Bruce, they need a "good" producer and cut the extra "stuff" and you will have great albums..... anyhow i will still buy what ever they put out in the future, lol. cheers and be well

Maybe that is the issue, the producer - or lack there of, not pushing them to tighten up the lyrics.

I need to pick up a C.D here and there to complete my maiden collection. You seem to have a good chunk of their albums Jeff. One thing I would really like is the 12'inch single of " Stranger In a strange Land ", that artwork is one of my favourites of eddy. So much so i have it on a t-shirt.👕. Seventh Son I rate pretty high as well. Cheers sir!.

Great stuff for sure. Even the weaker albums still have some good material on them. I think I have pretty much everything on CD, and a good majority on vinyl.

Awesome Iron Maiden vinyl collection Jeff! I totally get it, the early albums from the 80's are so much better than everything else they've done. It's not even close. The problem with the newer Maiden is the songs are too long and repetitive, if the albums were shorter and they cut out those silly intros and outros they would be so much better! Having said that, my favourite newer Maiden album is A matter of life and death. Even though it's pretty long it has some great tracks on it 😁🤘🏻

Yeah, something needs changed - they need someone to come in and tell them to tighten it up, and stop dragging out and repeating things so much :)

@@JeffMcCormack777 Yeah definitely! I completely agree, they to change something and try to go back to what they were good at, making albums 40-45 mins long! I wish they will, there's a rumour they're in France potentially recording so we'll see I guess 😁🤘🏻

I prefer the early years with Paul Di’Anno and the first few with Bruce Dickinson. My first album was Somewhere In Time and then I went and got the first few before that. I think Killers is probably my favorite album and then Somewhere in Time after that because it was my first by them. For the later albums I like A Matter of Life and Death.

so you have more Iron Maiden albums than Black Sabbath? My brothers friend introduced me to them with the same album Beast? I never saw them in concert. So Wasp opened for them in 1984 was it the last command album or self titled? so 7th son isn't one of your favorite albums? so what number place in the studio catalogue would you rank 7th son? Did you see Mr. Boulders video on his Iron Maiden ranking/collection? did you ever own any of their cassettes? if you were in a record club did you ever have any of the 8 tracks? if you were going to have on multiple formats what albums would you pick cassette , cd and vinyl?

  • @JeffMcCormack777

The WASP tour would have been the first album still. Yeah, interesting how Mr Boulder ranked Fear at the end, which I thought was probably how a lot of people feel, but then I got a lot of comments on my video here about how that one is a fave of a lot of people. 7th son was high for him, but of course two of my favorites were a little higher. Back in the day, 8-tracks were kind of on the way out, but I did have some that I picked up in the clearance dollar bin at K-Mart. Things like Kiss and Led Zep. My stereo back then was a combo with turntable, cassette, 8 track and radio.

@@JeffMcCormack777 I was never in the record clubs. I heard the last 8 track produced was in 1988. 8 tracks were onliy in my parents car and you couldn't find them unless you were in a club for early 80's. but yes my parents had some 8 tracks from the 70's.

Vynal has more Dynamic range than CD - thats about it - CD often has better overall sound - of course you have to take into account the sound system your playing each on is often different
