    There is so many different geo settings you can play with, castor correction bushes, adjustable top mounts etc, its hard to make it both good for road and track as both want for different things, a good track set up wont like going straight haha, but when throwing it around will e just the ticket, i am keeping it road biased as its a fun weekend one this roadster

    I'm looking to put coil overs on my TT, but I don't have any fancy 18" wheels. I just have the tock 16" wheel with big tyres like on that convertible. Is there any point me really lowering the car on stock 16" wheels or will it just look a bit stupid? When you lowered did you also add adjustable end links?

  • @TheParrottBros

    @TheParrottBros

    10 ай бұрын

    It doesnt matter what wheels you have, if you wanna lower your car then do it! its worth getting adjustable control arms if the camber needs adjusting to save tyre wear, but you can sort that after fitting the suspension if needed. its worth getting the geometry checked when the coilovers are fitted

    I’m not familiar with the TT front suspension but would think it’s similar to other Audi’s. Have a look how Ron does it without undoing the pinch bolt (about 12m 30s in) kzread.info/dash/bejne/mXV7j6V-pM25crA.html

  • @TheParrottBros

    The new Audis have a completely different set up, on the mark one TT the pinch bolt actually retains the shock absorber whereas on the newer stuff it holds in upper arms which are not the shock absorber, the pinch bolts on the newer ones are a lot worse as the bolt goes through aluminium where as on the old one it goes through steel so it is less of an issue
