My Childhood Experience Being Undiagnosed ~ Preschool - First Grade!

Hello :) Today, I'm sharing some of the things I remember from when I was a kid that seemed to hint at me being potentially autistic. Because I can't fit my whole childhood into one video, I'll be making several! Thank you for being with me on my journey to self-acceptance and helping others who feel a little lost 🖤
** Muted Area of Video begins at 5:52 and ends at 5:55. Although this only lasts 3 seconds, I recommend turning on captions for this segment! I am still looking into this issue! **
If you'd like to know the next time I post, S U B S C R I B E !

I may be a retired special education teacher, but you are teaching me more about autism than I have experience in my entire career.... I am so proud of you.... but also sorry that I was spread so thin and involved with other Issues that I missed this.... or did not follow through...

My first grade christian concentration camp teacher, just thought was a very devout though Highstrung and honest child, but the bullying had already started. my 2nd grade Public school teacher did notice that didn't eat anything, would just throw the food away. Always wanted to be first in LIne or last in line. we make all kind of noises and would overcomplicate math and all assignments really, and then the constant vocal stim, i was put in special ed, but then they couldn't identify a problem, test school higher than anybody else in this school, thats Odd, oh well, diagnosed at 42

Wow that sounds like it was a lot growing up. I wish they’d been more supportive. I feel like the schooling system can be very neglectful to a lot of children and it sucks because it leaves so many people with no answers and no support when they need it the most. Thank you for sharing, it’ll help a lot of people feel understood

👋🏼As a fellow autistic adult whose 38 yrs old going on 39 this year God willing 🙏🏼 thank you for sharing your experiences and story it takes great courage for you to be in your twenties and be so aware is awesome. Keep bringing awareness and acknowledging we as Autistics should be respected and accepted just like neurotypical people we are humans as well. A lot of your childhood experiences i can relate to and as an adult I don't have friends, many people know me and we have great rapport but im not quick to call someone my friend and im married my husband is my friend my dog is my child and my husband is autistic and we're cool with that. Keep being yourself and remaining true to that whether people accept you or not i have family i don't bother with because they are toxic. If people offend your peace pray on it and the Lord will give you strength to release them because he has a plan for your life. Shalom peace and blessings to you my dear 🙏🏼🙂

This was a great video and i totally relate to the having a wrong idea of autism before doing your own research as well as being bullied but not realising it

I remember a time in kindergarten, similar to your letter mat story, where we moved our chairs around the room to do various activities and I got up for some reason and when I came back someone was in my chair. I told them to get up and when they didn't I pulled it out from underneath them. The teacher didn't like that very much and that was the first time I went to the principal's office lol. I've always been pretty territorial.

This is similar to me. People would take my spots and make a big deal about it. Also, no one respects me either.

Sooo much practice in involved in having others respect you. So much practice, i cannot emphasize that enough. Sometimes it doesn't even work, so yeah :P
