Unfortunately, with the prices of Burgundy being out of control the interest in these has waned. The market has basically stagnated and the wines are not moving thru the market. Village wines like Meursault sells for around $100. Even trophy wines like Roumier & Rousseau are sitting waiting for buyers.

Great video as allways, would you consider "Nicole Lamarche La Grande Rue Grand Cru Monopole" a investment grade wine with a 15-20 year horizon. I can pick up some bottles for 400$ of the 2016 vintage. I allready have 8 bottles, what do you think?

I am not making anymore Burgundy acquisitions for the near future because of the crazy pricing. The only purchases I have made in the last two or three years has been some Chablis and some Maconnais wines. The Burgundy market has stagnated and if the wines don’t show movement prices will fall. Now the Grand Cru wines are so limited that their prices are more elastic. If you invest in Burgundy go with the top wines because you see prices of village wines and some premier crus falling by double digits.

@@winemoneysong I see, thanks. I think I will pick up cases of Pichon lalande and Pichon baron instead. I get the 2019 lalande at 175$ per bottle and the baron 2018 at 155$ per bottle

@@magnuseveb8305 Those are fair prices for those wines. The 2019 & 2020 prices are similar to the 2023 prices so I would prefer the vintages that have the bottle age.
