    I like seeing someone talk about cash back instead of points. I feel like cashback is equally as important as miles and points!

    Tbh, I don' think there's a reson to CANCEL the amazon card. In the ToS, it's specified that you can still have the card after losing a Prime membership. It will just downgrade the cashback from 5% to 3%

    Heyyy, I also use the Notes app to keep track of all my cards and their categories. Also, I love that credit card timeline. This video was well organized and presented in a manner that made sense to me. Each section had info I didn’t know despite me being in the credit card game since 2018. I only have cards for cashback besides the Chase Freedom, Unlimited, and Preferred for future trips. Thanks for making this video!

    Thanks for watching! I use Final Cut Pro X for editing. The timeline was created using good old Powerpoint and then I just brought it to life in Final Cut.

    It’s definitely pretty cool how organized you are with 16 credit cards. I couldn’t do it. I have 2 credit cards including Discover card. I don’t pay much attention to the cash back benefits except for when I use it towards paying my monthly balance. It seems like a lot of work for a small %?

    To take it to the extreme presented in this video you really have to treat like a hobby. A simpler approach I have found is to find a single card that consistently offers the highest cash back possible in a particular category (i.e. restaurants, grocery stores, gas, etc.) and only use that card for that type of purchase all the time. Then pick a card that consistently gives you 2% cash back on all purchases and use the 2% card for all remaining purchases. (I currently use the Citi Double Cash card as my 2% card.) No, you won't maximize all of your possible rewards, but it is much simpler and won't take nearly as much time to manage.

    My question is how to do spend so much to justify the cash back? I have four cards and I spend some money each month and I can’t imagine how much you spend one each card to get that much back.

    Well if you watch the entire video you can get an idea of how much get in Cashback. I certainly don’t use every single card at once. I spend what I normally spend. But make sure I use the card that gets me the highest percentage cash back.

    In about the 10:00 mark you said you can use the discover it card to get physical cash back and that it doesn't count as a cash advance. How do you that? Please explain

  • @skyforce95

    @skyforce95

    when used at a cashier where cashback is possible, it acts like a debit card. The pin pad will ask if you want cash back or not. So then the amount of cash you choose is processed with the transaction you made. Discover is still able to know how much the cash back was so you won't earn cashback rewards on the cash back portion.
