I'm pruning up my cascade style Lemon tree to get it ready for spring. I've had this tree for eight years now!

The tree looks like it's been growing on a rocky mountainside, looking out over the Mediterranean. It looks like summer, vacation and happy memories.
I know it’s not your style, but it’s quite an impressive little lemon. It is definitely the next tree I will be adding to my garden. Love the videos.
I think it looks great...Very creative...Thanks for sharing...

Thank you! Cheers!
Nice little cascade Lemon tree. Nice work pruning. Spring growth soon.
I love this little lemon and its powder blue pot.
ohh i love the pot! i have my lemon trees outside this year, i even got orange trees last sunday one off them even had a ornage on them so i know how the taste, i didn't know lemon trees wanted winter a little.
Well, your tree has a doppelganger somewhere 😮! I've seen many an example of trees blown over only to survive and regrow in all manner of forms. Natural? Of course!
Nigel, look up photos/ artwork of lemon trees in Positano, Italy. You can find them cascading over walls, extending out from rocky cliffs, etc.

Next time you work on this tree, you can play some fancy Italian music just like when you play French music when working your French Lilac...

Thanks so much, great idea!!!
i saw lots of lemon tree in this style in nature
I'm sure there are citrus tree cascades somewhere out there, but there just haven't been many reports of them. Anyways, your cascade lemon looks great!
Hi Nigel! As you maybe remember, me and some others, don't get notifications for your new Videos an Premiers. So i contacted the Support. They told me, that it's all fine for my side. I have to contact the Content Creator and ask/tell him, that he has to turn on the "Notification Feed" for new Videos. You have to do that for each Video and can find it somewhere in the Settings. Greetings from Germany

Thanks, I'll look for that!!!
10:27 "and let that be a lesson to you"!! Your pruning is second only to your repotting, love it!
What a cute little bonsai tree! I've never seen a cascade lemon at our local bonsai shows here in s.e. Florida. Yours is the first I've seen.

Thank you so much!
Hey, Nigel. Been following you since you started your bird's nest spruce. This lemon tree composition has been one of my favorites which also has a great back story. You're right it's not your usual styling of trees, but this one always reminds me of the Amalfi Coast lemons in Italy. Please take a look at documentaries and videos about Amalfi lemons, it could contribute to your artistic direction for this lemon bonsai.

I have one this , but it isnt a "lemon" , bur a Grapefruit trhee
Always liked this tree and your grapefruit I think it is. The trunks are very interesting. I am sure you have thought the same but it seemed to me that the shape naturally is calling for an additional dip. You debated removing the last branch you took off and I thought… hey, if a drooping branch were to start from the branch you left on or even further back, it would be perfect. Just sharing not criticizing. Btw, loved the tiny pot series. Thanks again for sharing!
Time flies when you’re having fun 😮
Love the unique style of it.
nature has created everthing we could ever think of incuding cascading lemon trees.. im sure you know that.. maybe not often but sure it has happend somewhere
This is a very nice little tree Nigel. The pruning made all the difference. Great video.

Italy has a lot of citrus trees all over the place. the rocky coasts could have some nice cascade style trees.

Lol!! Reminds me of the movie Jaws!!!
Just wondering. I have often heard you say how you like to make them resemble natural trees. I was just thinking, Have you ever been up to the mountains near the timberline where most of the trees are not above your waist but the trunk is like your leg in size. Many trees in that envoronment look like the trees you seem to be critical of.
Hi I’m new here! This might be a silly question, will this ever produce a lemon?

I wondered that too!

Yes it will. It will have to make it to maturity but it will. Nigel has a different Lemon tree that flowered and set fruit for the first time a couple years ago.

I thought this was your Grapefruit Tree, no?

The grapefruit bonsai he has is much older than this donated lemon bonsai. This bonsai is much more of a cascade style than the grapefruit one.
