My Car Died - Cranks But Won't Start

My car cranks but won't start. Driving home in my 1999 Acura Integra the engine suddenly shut off. After pulling to the curb, the car would crank but it could not start. This video will go through the troubleshooting process of determining why the car wouldn't start. When there's no spark at the plugs, it's important to check the wires, ignition coil (ignitor), ignition control module, and the distributor for any issues. This will show how to change a distributor.

I like how you explained your thought process about the troubleshooting. Most repair videos on youtube are like "so your car won't start? Let's fix the distributor" without any elaboration as to why that's the problem.

This was a very high caliber video! It's gets right down to what people want to see, I (and I'm sure others) would greatly appreciate more of these types of videos working on various parts of the car. I know you mentioned already that you were working on these types of videos but I would like to show support for them regardless :)

Short, concise and simple! This dude is great at what he does....he's approach is analytical and logical (due to his engineering background) thus, he is able to get points across really well and straight-forward.

A good useful tip would be take pictures with your phone of how everything looks before you start taking apart anything. I know this step save me a lot of headache.

Great job Jason. I think adding quick fixes to your repertoire would greatly increase not only the numbers of subscribers/viewers but it also makes the explanation videos you made more hands-on and easier to understand. I'm looking forward to seeing more of this.

Great first repair video! Not the best I've seen but it was simple and right to the point. Can't wait to see the next one get better!

I was hoping you were going to go further and find which component had actually failed. That would be useful for those who don't want to replace the entire distributor.

It would be great to see more practical videos like this. Your theory and review videos are always enjoyable and informative, but this adds another welcome element to the mix.

This was a pretty good video, but as someone who went thru a no start situation recently I think it would be awesome if you showed everyone how to diagnose all the issues. like spraying starting fluid to confirm its fuel related, or just a little more in-depth to the other
