I sure miss my 1976 15" Gheenoe. I had that boat since 1984 and sold it about two years ago. I would buy it back for twice what I sold it for right now. Mine was the same color blue. With this boat, take your time and get the fiberglass to look professional. Your Whaler refurbishment job was a bit sketchy in spots. You have the other boat, so there is no hurry, and this will cost much less to do it right. You will have this boat forever, maybe even buried in it. Do a job you can be super proud of. I can't wait to follow along with your project! Let's Goooo! Oh, and be sure to include step-by-step instructions, parts, materials, durations, show your mistakes and redos, all of it. This is the perfect boat to teach the world how to restore a fiberglass boat, and there are a lot of us out here who want to learn. Thank you so much for taking the time to teach us all.

I love gheenoes they are such cool boats! I will do this time, I did rush a few things because I was just so excited to get out there but if I could go back I’d take more time to perfect it. Will do! I’ll show all the materials and the price breakdown and also the time it took to do these tasks. Thank you!

Just curious but why not use a grinder with flap disk to greatly speed up sanding ?

Looking back on it that would've saved a bunch of time, Honestly just didn't think of it

I’m looking forward to this! Are you planning on building any decks? Or keeping the false floor that it looks like it has? I’ve had 5 Gheenoes so far from the 13’ low sided to the 15’6 classic with a 25. I’ve found the simpler you keep them the better they are.

I miss the gheenoe I had. I ran it with a 9.9 Johnson and a 6 gallon tank would last forever. Those boats are super fun and they are meant to be used & abused lol unlike my whaler which is a beauty queen 😂😂😂😂. Wish I didn’t sell the damn gheenoe
