They look amazing! I started my Microlocs with two strand twist and a few braid locks here and there.

Same here! My 17yr old’s hair is well past her bra strap when pulled. But she doesn’t really like sitting still through the reg process of getting her hair done, so I’m telling her these would still be work, but alittle less than her loose hair!

A lot less work! This is SUPER easy compared to loose natural hair. Keep working on her. Lol

I plan on doing braids this small but I don't want it to lock up. I will be taking it down after 6 months. I predict that I'll need at least 3 days for it but all the time I will be spending not having to do anything to my hair will be worth it. Wish me luck!😊
Simply Beautiful ! Thanks so much for adding your Loctician's information.

mamasaidsew Thank you!! Each day I love my hair more and more! I’m sure your locs are beautiful!! ✨ Peace and blessings to you!
The back seems like it grows faster is because the scalp extends to the neck and on the sides it stops above the ears. Means that this is at least 4 inches difference in scalp difference. The hair grows 1/2 inch through out the whole head as one. It may seems longer but if you measure them they are growing the same all over. If your scalp would stop at the same all around your head it would all be the same length through out the whole head. This is why both sides looks the same is because of the scalp placement.
@VideoSiteAccess
18 күн бұрын
That’s what I was thinking. It looks longer because it’s coming from the bottom of the head.
Loving your hair!
Your hair is gorgeous, I’m considering locking my hair. Is there a name for the grid pattern she used?

Love your hair! Do you happen to know if your loctician is still doing installs? I'm trying to find someone to start them for my daughter.
If this was half the price or sisterlocks, you would have had to mortgage a kidney for sisterlocks. It is really beautiful. Also 28 hours is nothing with that length and thickness! Also you can’t see the braid pattern. Looks amazing!

I have a question, I just wondered if I would be able to go to the African braid shop and have microbraids done using kinky hair and just never take them down and let them turn into locs. What do you think?
@ItsCinnaMe
2 жыл бұрын
Hmmm….the only part I question is the added hair. I’m not sure how that hair will hold up after years of wear. Also if the added hair would look different then your natural hair over time. I’m not sure on that one unfortunately. I’m sorry.

Using human hair the braider could crochet the human hair into Your hair, or instant loc attach exstenion to Your hair, or knot less braid or in and the hair if human would integrate with the loc. It may itch. It may slip. It may unravel. It may not take washing or sea water well. Simply interlock the roots after 4 to 6 weeks.
Now that's beautiful

I want to braid my hair like this but don’t want locs. Will my hair loc if I do a bunch of mini braids like this ?
@ItsCinnaMe
2 жыл бұрын
Well it depends on how long you leave them in and your hair type. I can still take the braided part of my hair down after 2+ years. I know others that locked up in 6 months. I say go for it and just keep watch for locking. As soon as it looks like it’s starting to Lock, take them out.

Lilian O says the looser the braid or twist the faster the hair will loc and the braid pattern will disappear if hair is lightly braid so shed hair can fall into the scaffolding of Your own hair braid, twist, plait foundation.

Tasha Burns Thank you!!! I promised I would not give out what I paid since it all depends on hair length, density, and the size locs you want. I hope you understand. I will say that for me it was almost half of what I was quoted for Sisterlocks. I hope that helps.
I’m confused. Are these micro locs or braid locs. I thought they was different.

The locs were started with braids. They are braid locs that are micro in size so they are both

My hair was braided all the way to the ends at my install. I cut my hair 2 weeks after my install in the back to shape things up. My ends are loose at this point. More so in the back where I cut it than the front. My hair is very kinky with little to no curl so I don’t believe the ends will stay loose for long.
