I like the advice, and I thought it was really clever to give us the option of watching in .5x or something faster! Some editing suggestions: I would have liked to have seen a close up of the final puzzle as you're discussing each section. It could just be a still image on top of the video. I think that would've been helpful to see!

Hi, Emilia! Hope you have lots of live viewers of your premiere! I will watch your video only after I have done the puzzle myself which will be in 1-2 weeks probably. I don't want to learn anything about this puzzle before I solve it myself - but many viewers (especially new ones) will enjoy your puzzling tips before attempting the puzzle! I am sure you will produce a great video!

Thank you very much! And good catch, I didn’t yet analyze this in detail but now that you mentioned it… I do seem to use my left hand more than earlier. It takes time, and practise - lots of it!

When you filled the green section (17 pieces, after the border was closed), there alone you won 1 min on me (1min10sec vs. 2min10sec). And for your last 28 purple pieces you needed approx 2min 45sec vs. my 4min 35sec. 3min difference only on the solid color blocks (green, purple, 45 pieces) which are one of my big weaknesses! Btw, in my video I had no idea about your time (had only seen your instagram post saying your reached a personal best). You might find it funny when I try to guess what the BOTYP winning time could be. 😉

Good analysis! I hate solid color areas as well. But I did see the little gradient well because we have all natural light in the house and probably got some lucky ones in. 😅 It would be interesting to see how the champions would have done on these same blocks time-wise. I’m looking forward watching your vide!

I’m also afraid of my WJPC pair participating because she is also faster than me 😁 But at least the challenge is up!

Posting the video 2x speed was a very clever solution, was glad i got to watch it in realtime on 0.5x but totally understand others might prefer a faster option. Amazing time!

I did it already and loved it. I tried to sort from the start, but got attracted by the stairs right away and gave up on the sorting. I am wondering if sorting by colors always makes sense on a 500 pieces Puzzle. If all the pieces are facing up, you see right away which pieces to pick up. I am not telling you my time, because I got trouble with my vision in the middle of it and had to finish half-blind.

Amazing! I'm not a fan of sorting, especially bigger areas. And as you said, it's usually easier just to pick up pieces when everything is flipped. Color-wise this puzzle was basically three smaller puzzles. :D

You did very well indeed Emilia. 👍Slightly baffled as to why you felt the need to talk so much whilst doing the puzzle. I assume it helps you in some way? Intrigued to see that you didn't colour sort up front but just threw the pieces on to your puzzle space. I've done the puzzle and entered my time, nothing of great moment as I don't regard myself as a speed puzzler. It would be interesting to see how you would have fared with the BOTYP 1 & 2 puzzles.

Haha, well, I don’t feel any need to it because I don’t even notice that I’m doing it. Ofc I’m aware of it in general because I have watched my own videos 🤣 I was so afraid last year WJPC of the live cameras because I also curse a lot. Anyway I think it’s a good thing because I’m rather active thinker or someone would say daydreamer in a way that talking about what I’m doing actually keeps me focussed - instead of starting to think something else.
