    I use polysol transfers as well, they have not let me down, my only complaint is small letters in the front chest logos, they tend to bleed together a little. I just got an order for 350 tshirts so I placed an order for a doul platen heat press, to speed things up. I have no desire to learn screen printing. My new hooping method for thin garments is to turn the shirt inside out and add a layer of stabilizer using temporary spray adhesive. That way it doesn’t stretch when you hoop it and it keeps the fabric from moving while doing small letters. Keep up the hard work.

    I am just getting back to all things decorating. I did take a class in Fort Worth Texas from Ryonet and realized maybe heat transfers are more my speed. I will give screen printing another go try. I have a single press. You are awesome. Keep growing.

    Hi ma’am.. so happy for you. I have laser, woodworking, sublimation, embroidery and screen print in house. Screen print has been the most time consuming job to learn and deal with. Between purchasing chemicals, printer, ink, software, and equipment..well sometimes it’s better to purchase the transfers.. I have a 4 arms machine and dryer but I only offer 1 color because I feel it’s a better bang for my time and profit. Just thought I’d share my thought with you. 😊

  • @KaylaKrische

    I appreciate your insight! The reason I want a press so bad other than the cost of the transfers is to save on time. I know it's time consuming making and registering screens, mixing inks, etc, but you can get a lot more shirts done in an hour versus cutting all the transfers, lining them up and measuring them to be straight, then pressing. On a good day I can do about 20-25 shirts an hour. I've watch many screen print videos where they're doing 100ish an hour on a manual.

    So you eyeball were to place the screen prints on the back and front or do you use a tool to place them?

  • @KaylaKrische

    @KaylaKrische

    Nope! It's probably hard to see in the time-lapse but they're taped on. I measure them at my table, tape it in place, and bring it to my press. It's just hard to move the camera back and forth so I didn't show that.

    Great job on all the business! I have been wanting to offer more shirts that I could order screen prints for instead of vinyl. I am still confused on pricing-do you charge the customer the actual price of the transfers plus your time in making them? Thanks for any info or a link to any videos you have on pricing structure.

  • @KaylaKrische

    @KaylaKrische

    Ай бұрын

    Thank you! Yes I absolutely charge that to my customer plus markup! I'm a for profit business. Say it ends up being $7 a transfer. I'll mark that up to $10-$12. Say a shirt is $4. I'll mark that up to $8. So my customer is at ~$20 a shirt. Then depending on how many shirts it is. Then I factor in my time. If I can do 20 shirts at hour and I charge $50/hour that's $2.50/ shirt. So my final total per shirt for the customer is about $22.50.

    Hey Keilla, this is Juan Carlos. I have a quick question. I have the TC 150 one and I am embroidery on some canvas bags. I was using the hoop and I had to canvas bag that got eaten by my embroidery so I reduced the size to sea hoop what is your recommendation for a canvas bag it has pocketsI took the seam and took the pocket apart. It’s big pocket.

  • @KaylaKrische

    @KaylaKrische

    Hi Juan. I'm a little confused as to what you're saying. I would start by doing a test stitch out first. If your bag is being eaten by the stitch out, you most likely need to adjust your tension.
