You know what Jon. I’ve wanted to be able to do the things that you do for absolutely forever. You have the absolute privilege of having your own business and doing everything that you could possibly want. I have been subscribed to your channel for so long, I’ve commented on some of your older videos, but I just wanted to say, that you are an absolute legend. You’ve done so much in the fishing community that you are a common household name at this point. Thank you. What I wouldn’t give to fish with you.... I’ve been fishing my whole life and I’ve never had your level of opportunity. I’m a IS Army Combat Veteran and a fan since the beginning, you are an inspiration, maybe you’ll come my way sometime, maybe not, but thank you

Look, I don’t know what you’re about, but obviously whether you think he’s a douche or not, you’re still here, watching his video, contributing to his channel and franchise. Also you’re here leaving comments on something that was not meant for you. He hasn’t taken the time out in a minute to say what’s up to his followers. So what, he has a startup company, a brand, and an image to uphold that just so happens to be spiraling upwards. His brand is in all the major stores, and yea he shares it with the rest of the googans so it’s not just his, but at least he has it. By making content he’s doing something for us. His content, while it makes money for him, is for us. So please don’t try to justify your own transgressions against him by shaming someone else’s thoughts

Hey Jon! I'm a new Angler up in the Midwest (Illinois to be exact). Over the past several days, I've been fishing ponds near my house hoping to get any bites. I caught a 1 1/2 pound bass. That's it. It has been super discouraging. I'm trying to go on warmer days (60's 70's) and I get absolutely nothing, kind of like you did in the first portion of this video. I know I'm not good at fishing right now, but I didn't think I was that bad. I'm inspired by your confidence though. It's your videos that drove me to take up fishing and take up a new hobby. I'll keep searching for the right ponds and try my best to have the confidence you did at the beginning of the video. Also if anyone is in the Illinois area around Will/Cook county and they could give me a few tips, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

@@JacksonPhipps-uo8wp That wasn't a splash from a fish. It was a splash from him being caught on one of the roots you can clearly see a tangle of roots where he cast, and he is snagged on one, it lifts it up slightly out of the water, then the line snaps, and then the root smacks the water. It's extremely clear. He was pulling his line super hard and it wasn't even moving around, it was clearly snagged. Good vid but c'mon now.

When you yank their spine out like that at 3:50, i wasn't surprised when you didn't catch it... Setting the hook like that feels like you're trying to set a hook in a shark or a Goliath Grouper. Simmer down the sets...

It’s ridiculous how people keep great bass. There is a pond that I fish at that gets stocked constantly because idiots keep everything that they pull up. I saw a man catch a big LMB that was probably a 5 pounder, and then he took it home. INFURIATING!
