@@stephenknight7601 being great has nothing to do with a history of consistent cheating and half truths. This is not the first time he has lied about mouth sets on sight fish. Does it make him the devil, a bad friend, son or husband... No. But it does make him a trashy tournament fisherman.

Looks like Scott needs to start using the Canterbury power hook setting technique!

Fishing shad spawns is just damn fun. In my favorite lake we had a couple shad spawns couple years ago and it was wild. The bass chasing looked like tuna un the sunlight the way they were grouped up. When they started feeding it was like a warzone with nearly 100 bass schooled up smashing shad on the surface. Nothing gives you goosebumps more than a 5lber smashing a walking bait.

Scott, I don't know what that white spinner was but if it were me, I would take a file or drimmel tool to that hook and make sure It's razor sharp and I might check out the barb and see if it needs to be ground down just a little bit. Might even put a trailer hook on there if the bite is short. If you're allowed to do such as that. Take it or leave it. I'm just an old country boy who fishes for his dinner.

Want to apologize for something. Never had anything against ya just didn't watch KZread or bass fishing on TV much. Seeing the section of googin baits they looked like the others so I didn't bother with them. When it came to plastics I only used berkley chigger craws cuz virtually all that worked in the north. I've tried others and never fails put the chigger back on and boom fish again. I've recently tried the B. Bug and the blazin worm. Gotta say perfect. My tackle has been refilled with googin baits. I apologize for thinking other wise. They are perfect. Trying the dragon drop and slim shake this week. Goodluck on your next 1. Hope to see u in that top spot. Great Job Scott. You and the boys

Scott you may want to try a little different rod on the chatterbait. I’ve tried a bunch of different ones and the best hook/land ration came on a 7’ 4” medium heavy composite rod. I’d use a little different one if I’m skipping some docks or something. I used to use the same rod I used for a spinnerbait and lost more than I should have

Do you guys ever throw Mepps spinners around? I can't recall seeing a pro video where someone was using those lures but I imagine in that first spot a White #4 would have been killer. Assuming it wasn't completely inundated with grass.

I'm a amateur Bass fisherman and live in Pomona Park and I crossed the palatka bridge every single morning you guys were here and I tried so hard to make it to the tournament and see you guys but due to issues at work I wasn't able to make it on time but I'll be there next time for sure I look forward to meeting you guys!! I usually throw a swimbait on an underspin a rage swimmer to be exact but my go to on the St John's is a white and chartreuse chatterbait with a rage swimmer as a trailer and do pretty good
