Brute honesty! A Godly Aussie demonstrating the fishing realities of life, ie., no catch results, YET BEAUTIFUL SCENERY & BRILLIANT INSTRUCTION! Fair Dinks, mate, you represent the conservative sector of Australia population authentically, just by your refined demeanor. Thank you, Roger! We, as family, are totally subscribed and onboard with your site, mate! ***Side note of Encouragement: As you DO have a foreign audience (me being in Merritt Island, FL), PLEASE TALK ABOUT YOUR EXACT AUSTRALIAN LOCATION, GEOGRAPHY & ANECDOTAL INSIGHTS whenever a pause & searching for words occurs. You are stellar, Roger, and I DO agree with comments below, that you you portray the father/grandfather figure that many in the world wish to have (or have had) while fishing for the simple results of life's uncertaincies. God's blessings be upon you & your family, SIR OSBORNE!

Mate, another good video, good content, very informative. Yeah, jewie fishing can be very quiet at times. Called the 'hundred hour fish' for good reason i suppose. I take a spare rod and if it is quiet, i chuck out a 4 or 5" paddle tail soft plastic and bounce it slowly across the gutters. It whiles away the time and another way of getting a jewie, flattie etc. Cheers 😀

Great videos & lots of good info. I have only one negative. People who want to try fishing & catching worms need to know what beaches you are at. I know nobody wants to give away their spots but if you wanted to try worming you need to know what beach to go to as all beaches don’t have worms & some worms are very sensitive & the ones you show are virtually jumping out of the sand.

Yes,, had a live yakka out off the northern end of Bondi, at the kids baths, just where the waves start to bump up, where they used to shark fish in old days. Clear water. My Yakka want mad so.. pick up the rod... mmmm, looking into water , mmmmm still going crazy, something was up... well.... 20 30m out , swimming along the wave line, was a bloody big shark, right under the surfers, lazy as. You could see the surfers legs dangling and the shark under... Took a while to convince everyone and some idiots not convinced... The Noah could not have been too hungry

Hey Roger, I just saw this. Don’t know if this is a superstition or factual, but it’s something that may have helped. When we are fishing Maloway at night we don’t show torches definitely don’t show them towards the sea. I’m thinking your camera light would not have helped and your head to bobbing around May not have either. Also, a trick we use when butterflying the mullet is pin a slice of squid in between

From everything I have read they seem superior as they effectively self set in the fish without the need to manually set the hook yourself. And 90% of the time they catch the fish in the corner of the mouth. Very rarely do you gut hook a fish. Maybe that takes some of the fun out of fishing for you though because they self set 😅

OK Bill what area do you fish? I have caught multiple Mulloway at times around the full moon on Sydney's northern beaches.
