Hello, I just read your article and I just wanted to say that it's really well-written and informative, congratulations on getting it published in the japan times! I think there should be more talk worldwide about smartphone and social media addiction. I live in Europe and I got my first smartphone around the age of 13 and I think it has definitely impacted my life in a negative way, especially since back from that time more and more social media, games and other apps became available. They have a real interest to make us more addicted so that we can see more ads, spend more money, engage more etc. Therefore it's a real shame that nowadays even children in kindergarten, like you mentioned in your article, get exposed to the smartphone addiction from the young age. I'm sure it has a negative impact on their development, attention spans and mental well-being. I personally see parents who aren't even interested in interacting with their children and just give them a smartphone to play around and watch random videos to get some peace, but they are unaware of the damage they might be causing. I hope you'll continue to write more on this subject on continue your research, good luck!

thank you. I'm very happy to hear that. I want the world to know more about smartphone addiction and digital detox. I'll do my best, albeit in a small way. I am writing a book called ``I want to quit being a slave to my smartphone'' about my experiences. Currently, only the Japanese version is available, but our goal is to publish an English translated version. Nokia has recently released the dumbphone, and I think people are becoming more interested in digital detox. I will do my best to make my dreams come true.

@@c0mmenter1 Thank you for your comment. I want people around the world to know about "digital detox" and "dumbphone (flipphone)," so I will continue to spread the word. I would be happy if you could watch the video again. I want to improve my English as well! (I'm going to an English class. I'm learning English from an American teacher. But it's difficult! I'll do my best.)
