I love your "Princess Diana" inspired black sheep iconic sweater. And I love that you are doing genealogy for your family. Bravo!
Fabulous! I'm so thrilled for you Julie, but I must admit that I'm not surprised. That connection has lived within you since your birth and it is what lead you to England and Luke. You are exactly where you were meant to be all along. 🤗

I started watching your channel about a year or so ago, and even back then had a feeling you would find Alberta was a relative! So cool!
I love tracing family genealogy It is so cool that you are actually related to Alberta! I guess this is why you felt a connection😃
I love genealogy and connecting family. It is like a patchwork quilt.
Alberta would be honored to know you Julie . You have brought her to life for us. She was a fascinating lady. So happy for you Julie💕
It all comes full circle. Very interesting coincidences.
You have a black sheep sweater!!!😍🐑😍
Thank you Luke for repairing the sweet little chair.❤
It is exciting, Julie. Don't let anyone steal your joy. What are the chances that you would be related at all?! Pretty cool.
Hopefully you can draw the tree to show. Fascinating.
I knew it,I knew you two were related, I just felt it and saw it in my mind. I was just afraid to say it. Wow! I see a movie about Alberta's life.

I have traced my Shields family back to 1600’s Ireland . My direct ancestor , William, and his brother James wound up in Williamsburg , Va. they were among the Irish deported under Cromwell
You are cousins! I knew there had to be some familial connection between you two. Always love the 'Black Sheep' jumper on you, as well. Hope to join in the next live discussion as I missed this Sunday's, but I will catch myself up beforehand.
I’m related to Diana Spencer through four lines, we share grandparents on all four. My grandmother was a Worthington down the Brice, Every, Spencer, Worthington lines.

love the diana sweater! so incredible - or not - that you and alberta are related!!! woo hoooo!
I'm a genealogist and I was thinking about taking on your family tree to see if I could find this connection, so awesome that someone did do this. I had my suspicions that there could a connection, because you were from the same area. I would love to look at the tree. To see if any of the trees I have done of the old New England families have ties to yours. So much fun.
This is so exciting and cooool! ❤
I love all the connections ❤
Hi Julie - My mother was a Sturges-I have traced her Sturges line all the way back to John Sturges who was one of the first settlers in Fairfield, Connecticut. Another of my mother's lines traces back to William The Conqueror-King Henry III was my 24th Great Grandfather. I've become kind of an Ancestry/Genealogy junkie. - lol
I am sitting on my favorite chair with my warmest housecoat on with a cup of camomile tea listening to you reading the diary of Alberta’s. My lovely little poodle by my side. He keeps me warm as you are with the reading of her words from long ago. I can’t afford to buy a cup or anything else but I can pass on your good work to everyone I know. Thank you so much for doing this for all of us to hear. I want to know about the eagles too!!❤

So exciting regarding your genealogy tree. I am slowly doing my family tree and I find it fascinating. Love your black sheep sweater 😍😘
How exciting! I am Such a Genealogy nut. I followed you perfectly! I recently found out that my 11th Grandmother was a Courtenay! I hope to visit Powderham one day! It is so exciting for you and uncanny that you ended up being related to Alberta! It’s so synchronistic that you followed in her footsteps ✨💛✨

Since you started your dissertation I had a strong feeling that you were related to her!
Enjoyed so much.
I have been watching your shows for about 6 months now. I started working on my family tree again and just found out Oliver Cromwell is a 13x great grandfather of mine, I flipped when Hinchinbrooke was listed! Thanks to you I have been able to see it.
I am a opted and I lived very close to my DNA family members and I would wonder away from the adopters and find myself very close to my DNA family members. I have done a DNA rest just a few years ago and that's when I discovered that the strong magnetic power of gravitational pull to my original family. It's amazing how the universe works!
I am drinking darjeeling tea and will have hot apple cider next.😊
Alberta is my 6th cousin 5x removed our common ancestor is Edmund Rice
How amazing!!! ❤ these updates!
I enjoy watching your videos. I am working on my historical dissertation. I am interested in reading your dissertation. What is the name of your dissertation and where would it be available online? I am originally from Iceland, but live in Missouri now. Keep up the good work.

Hello from the Pacific Northwest,
Hi from Western Colorado.😊
It's serendipity how you are related to Alberta. So thrilled for you. Doesn't matter how distant. Love hearing about her. Am watching episodes about her from the beginning, saving some as a treat. I can't resist watching the new ones coming out. Thank you! Also love and binge watched Mapperton Live. ❤
This is all so amazing!
Screen share would have been cool for the family tree..
I’ve done my genealogy too which is why it’s so understandable!

@@lisalking2476 You may be! Try a little research and see what you find! You never know! If you find out you're not, since you're watching these videos with all of us, then, you're part of my family and of others! We all love history, nature, estates, etc! We may not be blood family, but I consider you an AV sister! Merry Christmas to you and your family! 🎄
Julie, if HALE is in your family tree, you could be related to Barbara Hale the Actress on Perry Mason, known as Della. Barbara Hale and her sister were born in rural Maple Park, Illinois which is not far from Sugar Grove, Illinois. My father, 96 yrs old now, knew them. He always said the sister was much more attractive than Barbara Barbara 💕🙏🙏
Lol 😆 I hit like now befor you even finish loading because I already know how much I am going to enjoy your videos, thank you again for all your hard work ❤

Awesome! Thank you!
Watching a little of this live yesterday I kept wanting to shout out “Henry Louis Gates”!!!!! Discovering your connection to Alberta was so cool!
I am so excited for you but at the same time a bit worried about this valuable history going into the wrong hands . If you do not have firm copyrights on Alberta’s letters I would fear that someone could scoop this up and write a non fiction novel / book / etc before you ever get a chance to ! Perhaps I am worried for no reason but can’t get this out of my head . I watch with great anticipation. I believe it was no coincidence that you should meet and marry Luke ,which brought you to this present day adventure . Alberta may have directed this touch of destiny !
I named my 16 yr old daughter Sarah Goodwin!!!! Wow...I wonder if these Goodwins are related to my husband?! So crazy!
Maternal lineage is good! You can guarantee maternal lines, you can’t guarantee paternal 😅
Most people of English ancestry, are related if we go back far enough.

I've found this to be true as well.
Hi from Connecticut usa 12:26pm
I just knew it! I also kind of believe in genic imprinting. I know impossible things about my ancestor's Plantation including a hidden wall mural & places upstairs where the public can't go. So with all the things between you & Alberta, I am not surprised. I still think she guided your hand from the beginning to today. Promise I am not freaky weird, it's just things happen that are hard to explain.

Wow! You found a common ancestor with Alberta! With your Early American Ancestry from Connecticut in the 1600's ..... I wonder if you are descended of "John Strong" .... John Strong is the American Ancestor of Diana Spencer on Diana's mothers side (. The Spencer's were woven in with the Washington's. Look closely at the similarity with the Washington family crest and the American Flag. I just looked.... ... The Nathaniel Chauncey name in CT is an Ancestor of John Strong...... That sweater you have on should really mean something now! In my opinion, Diana was a human Deity.

Hello from Toowoomba QLD
So you and Luke are cousins!!!!! Lol
Hello Julie! I thought you would be interested to see a portrait of Viscountess of Hinchingbrooke that was shown on a KZread video show called Houseworthy. The episode was posted only a little while ago and the title is House Tour A Classic Home in New Orleans. I’m not sure how, but I will try to attached just a small portion of the show below showing the portrait. Enjoy!! Best to you and your family. Cristina
Is there Ayres or Kensinger on your family tree? My grandmother’s family lived in Peoria, Illinois around 1940 and I don’t have records beyond that date. Love your jumper, btw! ❤

I sent you a message on Instagram, not sure if you received it. It’s a page from Family Search it shows Mae Marlette is my 8th cousin twice removed on my father’s side and her mother’s. I believe that makes you and I 10th cousins? I love genealogy, but it does give me a headache. Also I had the Diana Sheep sweater that I wore in 1982 in my freshman year of high school. I had my hair cut like hers as well 🤦🏻♀️! All the best from Phoenix, Arizona
