I especially liked the way Superman anxiously cleaned up the collateral damage after the fight and put back all of the cars that were thrown. Really makes a point of the character that we’re talking about.

Nah. Just wish Parnel made him sound way more different than Jerry. Only character model changes I didn’t like was Deathstroke. The voice don’t sound right and it just doesn’t hold up to the silver fox look. Maybe they got something for later. And I do wanna see some new ideas and what they have for later

We don't always need a show like Invincible or Arcane. Sometimes, we just want something fun and charming like this show.

Yes, exactly. Arcane was a phenomenal work of art but it's such a dark show, I haven't rewatched it. Invincible is just too dark and edgy for me to get into. This show feels far more what I've wanted as a lifelong Superman fan.

This show feels like it was made just for me. We haven't had an animated Superman show in *under 30 years* and to finally see a new one that understands the character and has a more optimistic and youthful spirit to it with bold animation truly has my inner child in complete joy. The animation is electric with the anime-esque style. I love Jack Quaid's take on Superman and Clark especially where we really explore more of Clark as a character and how humble and kind of a person he is and his inner fears of what his Kryptonian heritage means and what he is meant to do with the gifts/powers he's born with. Lois & Clark's chemistry is super adorable and this show might have my favourite take on Lois Lane (voiced by Alice Lee) where you really feel the drive, and quirky passion she has and her interactions with Clark are simply super cute and wholesome. Jimmy is also wonderful and such a fun addition to this trio that adds a lot of heart-felt levity to the group.

The show feels like it was made for me too, a perfect Superman adaptation that focuses on the lovable optimistic "I wanna save anyone and anything" side. its shows how and why Lois and Jimmy and super useful to him and he needs them just as they need him. like this show FULLY GETS Superman. I LOVE ROMANCE ANIME, and THIS IS ONE OF THE CUTEST MOST WHOLESOME ROMANCE-ANIME INSPIRED DYNAMICS I'VE EVER SEEN IN A SUPERHERO SHOW. PLUS I LOVE HOW HOT LOIS AND CLARK ARE. they got the dynamics I want in my own relationship, as I am a big soft geek i.e. Clark, pining for a Lois. it's like this show has everything I've ever wanted and more. a man was smiling ear to ear all night.

Can we talk about how bad ass Jor-El looked? I wanna know that dudes background story too.

I heard someone say Superman's superpower is his kindness. I really felt that when I watched the first two episodes of this series.

The scene transitions need a little work, but this show manages to feature a completely unique version of Clark and Lois, but they still feels so quintessentially THEMSELVES. Can’t wait to see where the series goes.

Clark is perfect, and that's really all I wanted. Jack Quaid is perfect, specially mixed with the 6 foot tall gentle giant beefcake design, we have a Superman who's very kind and humble, a Superman you'd want to be hugged by, an actual symbol of hope and light

I’m really glad you emphasized how while Jimmy is not traditionally black he still looks and feels like Jimmy Olsen considering such. Also the reason that Deathstroke is so young is because his main enemies are still children lol.

I enjoyed it. It's very light hearted & pure. Obviously leans more torwards to kids, but it's fun watching Clark & Lois together. I've seen a few negative videos around the series, don't see a lot of their complaints myself, but whatevs lol.

I don't mind, plenty of stuff rated PG aimed for a younger audience can branch to adults as well, just like The Last Airbender or any of Bruce Timm's DC animated series. I would say this one feels more kid friendly than the ones I just mentioned though. But I noticed a few comments that said this was "too kiddy for them." When I first heard it was on Adult Swim, I expected quite a different tone haha.

I have never heard of this show being a thing until a few days ago when adult swims KZread uploaded the full episode 1 and it popped up on the home page and now I’m in love with this show regardless of the naysayers try to say

I don’t really like Superman that much but only two episodes in and I already love and adore this show. The show is oozing with charm and personality and it’s such a joy to watch. There is not a single dull moment and it’s just fantastic so far. I am really happy that I have this show a chance because this might end up being one of my favorite tv shows. I haven’t felt this way about a show since one punch man. I really hope that this show gets the recognition that it deserves. Also they turned Lois into a short hair tomboy and I 100% love it.

If you don’t like Superman because of how he’s usually depicted in movies lately then maybe you’d like him more in comics, because while some characters might be different, usually in the best handlings of the character this is how Superman is depicted. He’s not some god like in Snyder’s DCU. He’s genuinely a great guy.

I've been hoping this show would be fun ever since I saw the first teaser images, and I am absolutely delighted that it was 😊

This right here is Superman. I just love it honestly. Love anime and I love cb media (Superman being a top 3 Hero for me). This is just gold. I’m pretty hopeful for gunns Superman and yu can tell with all this Superman content that they’re getting us ready for legacy. Hope that Superman/Clark is the wholesome Boy Scout just like this one.

The characters are so well written and I obsoletely love what they are doing with Clark’s character he’s so adorable in this show

i only have 2 slight issues. since its being aired on adult swim i hope it doesn't turn gory in a sudden change for no reason bc i like the wholesome take it has. also, kinda weird to have slade as the "main" villain? idk hes always been the titans main villian but i think i can work with it

I like the empty city reminds me of early comic books where the artists just drew one or two characters and one building per panel giving a personal feel.

They look like they actually nailed the balance of updating character appearances in a fun, fresh way without making them feel unfamiliar. I think part of that is the fact Clark has seen the least change, granting the characters around him familiarity through their relationship to him. Like, when I first saw the intro, I thought “This is undeniably Clark Kent, so the younger guy beside him must be Jimmy and the woman has to be Lois.”

My adventures with Superman had a great start and was very enjoyable. I can't wait for more from this series.

The language Kryptonians speak is called Kryptonese in the comics

I absolutely adore how thwyre able to keep the tone so authentic to the character while also completing changing so much. I absolutely cannot wait for the next episode!

I really like this interpretation of Superman. For so long they've been trying to make Superman a dramatic almost edgy character. Which on occasion is alright but that isn't who Superman is. He's the best qualities of humanity instilled in an alien. He's a loveable goofball that would help anyone even his villains if it saved their lives. Clark is just Superman but with the heroics turned down. An adorkable, charming guy that people like being around. This show approaches that balance so well. Clark is Superman and vice versa. He is good just to be good. He doesn't need a cloudy atmosphere or some world ending catastrophe every single time. Clark had to save the cat at the beginning of Episode 1. Superman also would've had to save the cat. It's who he is. He'll help anyone no matter how small the task. I am happy to see Superman be that again.

I suspect we are seeing Slade Wilson from an early point in his career before he gained his power and became Deathstroke.

I have always felt the real heros in all the superman stories are clarks parents. They raised him right. Can't imagine if they didn't raise him to kind, respectful and humble how he could have easily turned out. I mean superman could probably rule the world if he wanted to. So in a simple wholesome way his parents inevertly may have saved the world. However, they would never consider it like that because to them its what everyone should do.

One word: Wholesome! The anime-esque art and style adds a lot to it.

I’m so happy this exists, just basic fun and intriguing story that goes back to why Superman is just a lovable friendly person who despite his origin is human. I know the animated series have always done this well but it’s so nice to see after the DCU

Before I saw this show I wasn’t really a Superman fan, then this show came out and I’m proud to say I am now a fan of this character. This show is my ideal Superman story and I cannot wait for season 2!

IDK why, but we love this show.

I think a good way to think about how this show relates to other superman media is that they change alot of the lore, but keep true to the themes. Rather like the opposite of superman in DCEU

People can hate it but I always love it when people play around with the lore like making Slade young or having Poison Ivy being a natural born metahuman.

Lois being a tomboy. Heh that makes two in the same year. First Supergirl now this. I love it. She's my favorite character in the show

Idk if you have heard about it, but there’s a Batman project with Bruce Timm as producer called Batman Caped Crusader. However, it will go in the opposite direction of My adventure with Superman, being a much darker show.

"My Investigations Into The Batman" would be the show, and would follow Commissioner Gordon as he goes from a beat cop who hears the gunshots that took Bruce Wayne's parents, to Commissioner, where he has an idea that Bruce is the Batman, but while investigating it he feels reluctant to actually follow through with it out of seeing Bruce as a surrogate son and out of a feeling of responsibility for Bruce. This in combination with knowing Batman is needed in Gotham.

This show needs to stay alive at all costs. This art style somehow looks even more anime than Teen Titans was.m; and that’s a positive from what I have seen

I feel like this version of slade isn’t the badass assassin that can take on Batman yet,he feels more like slade before the death stroke persona:young and naive but can still fight. He will probably become death stroke sometime in the shows run,this version is just his origin story.

Great review for an excellent show--delightful is just the right word. I think the title refers to Lois and Jimmy--but it's maybe Clark as well? So much of this is discovering what/who Superman is--so it is an adventure for him as well. Again--really solid video review.

I feel as though this first episode was a callback to the 1940s cartoon by the Fleishers, The Mechanical Monsters. He struggled versus those at first in the same way. And the villain set all the robots on him at once towards the end of the fight.

"Whatcha doin'?" That's what this Lois' face reminds me of.

Didn't know how much I wanted an anime Clark Kent until this got released. Also turning Clark from unstoppable, manly Gigachad to adorable, clumsy, socially awkward, dork was the best decision they made.

i absolutely loved this show, I'm so excited for the next episodes, it seems so promising, Superman's my favorite superhero 💙

Can we just point out how this show did something that is not fresh take but actually should be the standard for most superman stories. He is a good person who just wants a normal life and can't stop himself from helping everyone who needs it. Not this God amongst men crap. He is not full of himself and he cares enough to help a little girl find her cat.

Only Three episodes out that this time two with this video, but as a long time Superman fan and even more of a fan of Anime….ish material I’m Loving This Show. Lightening powers are my favorite elemental/visual thing to see in media so I’m really a fan of it. Reminds me of the old Dragonball Z Supet Saiyan 2 transformation 😘. Super Hyped to see all these episodes when there out. Loving the show!

I like it. Went into this with low expectations( thinking this would just be neckbeard fanservice), but I’m happy to say they were exceeded. I like how naive and innocent they made Clark, and they got Lois perfect a little annoying but oh so loveable.

I'm not sure if the lightning effects are actually a reference to the red and blue superman from the 90's, I think it might actually be a reference to his self imposed limiters. When Clark first discovered he had powers he was so freaked out that he put subconscious limiters on his abilities which he would gradually get over as he got older. Here is feels like he's even more afraid of his powers than usual, so the limiters are in the forefront and his true power only pops out during the equivalent of an adrenaline rush, like "my friend is in danger" or something like that. It's entirely possible that the white lightning thing is visual flair for the audience that isn't actually happening in universe.

When I saw the trailer for this show, it was giving me serious Marvel’s Spider-Man 2017 vibes but, when watching it, all I get from it now is Invincible vibes. I LOVED EVERY SECOND!

So far, story and style, I LOVE THIS SERIES!

honestly this show is a good take on Superman and of how they are doing it. Clark is his good-hearted self while not knowing his own strength come off as clumsy but you can feel his genuine honest actions as Clark. and Superman struggled throughout the two episodes both when in the fight but also coming to terms with his heritage. we all know how strong Superman can be and this is him getting started. even the anime-like scenes getting his suit feels like an interesting take as we know his story but they kept it interesting while making sure he doesn't forget he might be born Kal-el, but he was raised as a Kent. Lois and Jimmy are not supporting cast this time around but main characters and you feel it. the three of them are best friends, you can only see scenes of them you know they are all friends. they have their quirks, they have their issues and flaws and they feel human. most importantly it could be nothing but shenanigans between them and we would still enjoy it because the characters work so well. the show is starting strong with the villains with Livewire becoming Livewire in this episode but made a younger Slade Wilson. this is Deathstroke before he became the super soldier before he became the hardened mercenary that lost an eye. Since Superman is literally starting out it would make sense other known characters in DC are also starting out including Slade. Livewire appearing was good take since it showed a more impactful way of hos she became her electric self and how Superman had a hand in her becoming Livewire we all know. and we know it won't be the last we see if her. Overall this is a good show of Superman and it's starting out strong.

Deathstroke gives off tons of Phantom Blood Dio vibes, at least design-wise. Here, I said it - fight me.

Insanely cute tomboy Latina Lois Lane is something I did not know I wanted to exist but boy am I glad it does. I’m down bad already😂
