Something I'm really glad both Marvel and DC of the modern era is doing is embracing more color and genuinely trying to homage the classic suits but still doing something new to differentiate things slightly

100% agree. The duller colored and more “realistic” suits definitely worked in the early phases of the MCU, but I think the trend is so played out. Also, the more “campy”, colorful, and simpler suits are objectively better. It’s just a matter of translating them well from 2D art to live action

not a bad design i do want the cap and cowl be blue with white eyes because i'm tired of waiting for them to do the 90s / 2000s look even the white eyes

Not only do I want the CGI white eyes for Batman, I want the brow of the cowl to be facial capture and CGI'd onto the actor's face. I want the brow of the cowl to be expressive in a way that is literally impossible to do in real life with real materials. The DCEU Batman comic brow kinda emulates that with the design of the cowl, but I want them to go all the way.

Man Thing in Werewolf by Night was actually a practical effect enhanced by CGI. You can look at behind the scenes footage and see there was a full on rig for the character being used. I think thats how they should do Swamp Thing

Deadpool is a comedic character that benefits from having emotive white eyes. I’m not sure it would have the same benefits for Batman, who’s face acting is essential to get a deep sense of the character, like Pattinson demonstrated

@texcorps9432 it's really no difference from a full mask to a partial mask the partial just has less coverage. Deadpool 3 doesn't contradict anything since Hugh Jackman hasn't worn a mask in a decade and they're heavily banking on his preexisting star power. Just watch the batman vs predator fan-film, they perfect the white eyes

@giosbizarreart9048 You're comparing a fully masked face with full intergeation of cgi tho. There's a reason it hasn't been done even with the modern day emergence of more comic friendly suits. The point is Wolverine has a more similar mask to batman and their clearly not gonna use it for the whole movie because they don't have faith in its translation

I suggest that Cassandra Cain's Batgirl mask can be like a bat version of Deadpool's mask.

Yeah Professor Zoom (Thawne) has no reason to be a villain in a movie unless Barry Allen is the Flash. They could do Hunter Zolomon as Zoom of Wally is the flash, but I prefer Thawne too.

If they insist on making Damian Robin, I would LOVE to see a duo movie with Tim & Stephanie where he debuts his new identity. Call it [New Tim Identity] & Spoiler, have the logo for the film have their names in their respective colors, and make it like a crime drama or something, use Tim’s famous detective skills and Stephanie’s background. 14:46 that’s a good point about Martian Manhunter’s form. I agree he shouldn’t look too alien, since he does choose that form to fit in. However that’s exactly why I think he should be practical. The suit can easily be practical, so you just have to worry about the face. He can just have some prosthetics for green skin, a more pronounced brow, red eyes. It can def be done that way imo

I agree. Since they've decided to go with a more classic design for Superman, it only makes sense that the rest of the Trinity should have their classic vibrant looks as well. It would help differentiate them from the armoured designs of the Reevesverse Batman and DCEU Wonder Woman.

But would it not make more sense for WW to wear armor? Since, y'know...she's a Warrior from ancient times? If she wore her classic look for parades or publicity events then it would make sense in film. My main gripe is that I want her chest covered, no cleavage or boob armor whatsoever.

Batman should have the blue and grey suit along with white eyes, they can be mechanical and should glow in the dark and can even help him solve crimes like in the Arkhamverse, I also want them to bring back the classic yellow symbol.

Maybe this is a hot take but if and probably will happen Wally does become The Flash eventually I'd love to see him stick to the reboot suit as i think it makes him stand out so much more and allows him to show off his red hair and it looks really cool. I also love Barrys N52 suit and hope we see that version but nothing beats the classic and i also sort of hope we still get the bearded Aquaman look as i think it looks so much cooler

Yeah I'd go for Bane's classic design, done through CGI making him larger than any real human.

Unlike Superman, not showing muscle details in the suit will make Batman look like a clown and destroy the essence of the character in that he shows his strength and threat to Gotham's criminals, This is what scares me: they follow the same method as Superman's suit, or choosing a short and skinny actor for Batman, because the suit will look terrible on him.

Is the DCU Batman(played by Richard Madden) suit going to be a black suit with blue Coul and the Damian Wayne(played by Gordon Cormier) Robin suit going to be a samurai suit?

It'd be a mistake not to cast the Russian Badger as Plastic Man

Great point about Martian Manhunter. I think the simplistic JLAS look is much better than more overdesigned recent looks. If you really wanted those bumps and lines to appear, they could show up while he’s in combat and not prioritizing maintaining his human-like form as much. That could maybe be neat.

I'm really hoping the dcu's batman wears the batman rebirth suit! 🤩 And I think it's time we get a batman in live action with white eyes! But personally, I don't like batman having blue and gray on the suit. Just keep it black and gray. If james gunn does bring in barbara gordon as batgirl in his DCU, I would love for them to make a costume similar to the one we were going to get in the canceled batgirl movie, that's purple and yellow.

To be fair to Titans Beast Boy, they did try, but the actor was allergic to the make up that shows/films use. Dunno if they could use a different base for the paint, but don't know the details of make-up for Hollywood.

I’d say for beastboy his red and white suit should come first depending whenever he joined the titans,it’ll show that he had just left doom patrol. And then. They work the purple and black in

I'm gonna be the Doom Patrol ambassador seeing as no one else is talking about them. While I do think the doom patrol should have quirky and campy suits at first, like for the first movie (please let me have it) or so, I don't think it should stay that way forever. Y'know, the first run of the doom patrol do is kinda campy and whatnot but after everyone dies on the Codsville explosion it takes a very big tonal shift. It's like at first it was "Oh, we're rejected by society so we do good stuff together" then it's like "This shit takes a toll on us but we may be the only ones to know how to deal with it.". Because yeah the Doom Patrol is hella weird but not because their members act weird or zany, but they just happen to live extremely surreal circumstances. They kinda act like normal people but they're not. That's why I think they should drop the whole costume team act after like their first solo appearance (Be it a movie or a series).

As much as the Utility belt helps to fill in that empty space i still think Batman should have his trunks on like Supes. A design somewhere Between the Earth One symbol and color scheme, the Arkham Asylum's overall design and the white eyes (with mo-cap) would honestly be peak Batman

If you cant make the silly trunks of a comic book character work, you dont care about them enough and nothing else will work.

For the DCU batsuit, definitely make it look similar to that 5:21 . But make this batsuit fabric just like DCU Superman. Give the black cowl & cape that dark blue tint like the Arkham City suit, keep everything else black & grey. Definitely give him those classic black trunks, expose the batman jaw a little, make the whole suit including the neck flexible & movable for the actor. Also for the bat emblem: they should do the one from the flashpoint comic, but change the red to that classic yellow. Lastly for the white eyes, they should just do something just like the detective mode & the bat-sonar so we can have both real pupil & white eyes.

Batman better have white eyes. I hate the “but eyes show emotion” who gives a shit. Why would he want his eyes showing anyway when his mouth is already unprotected💀

Blue and grey Batman suit would look sick for this new universe

"bring back the light gray of the 70s and the 2000s" that color scheme is Batmans main color scheme from the 40s all the way till the 90s in Batman Troika if i am not mistaken, plus the return to it during No Mans Land all the way till Batman Inc (with Dick also wearing the blue and gray, but admittedly some stories, artists and colorists gave bruce gray and black even during those times) where his suit became strictly gray and black whitch stayed till Rebirth where the suit switched in both color schemes until like 2018 or 2019 where Bruce went to the classic suit with the gray and black and he stayed in it until now (with some colorists choosing blue, usualy depending on the story and tone too, the blue sometimes being used for Bruces early days)...whitch is all to say, blue is way more used than in those two decades, it's Bruces main choice of color.

That would be really cool if they gave Tim Drake a new superhero name once he's done as Robin

I do like the David Corenswet outfit, but I was hoping for a more comic accurate outfit similar to what we got in the 1978 classic but more updated.

Question, do you have to ask every single artist for permission to use their art (if this answer will get you in trouble don't give it then). It's just difficult to contact some of these peope and it made me curious if you had to as well.

Because it's fan art of characters they don't own, the artists don't have any copyright rights over them so you don't need permission. You also don't need permission for actual copywritten images if you use it in a transformative way such as background for commentary like in my video. That being said, I do prefer to give credit to the artists so I did in the description.

I can't find it online but at the same time I tried doing the same with a Superman image (removing the logo that is) and it was just a mess. In your thumbnails the lines in the fabric move so well if I didn't already know what every Ben Affleck batsuit looked like I'd think it was officially like that. Are you the one who photoshopped that?

I want Wally to be the main flash of this DCU but have him wear that rebirth flash suit, the one that’s basically a red and silver kid flash suit with his hair flowing and blue lightning, I think this will give him a distinct difference in Live Action than Barry Allen’s previous flashes, letting people know this is a legacy character
