Cuarón changed the atmosphere of the Harry Potter franchise.And glad to see some love for The Apartment. It may not be everyone’s favorite Billy Wilder film, but there’s just something about it that is really close to my heart.

This is a better way to show us a list of films. We poke holes in many lists, but YOUR favorite films are uniquely yours, and people who criticize you are just wrong. Those jerks need to create their own list of favorites. Like I told my kids, "Nobody tells you what you like, that's your choice, and yours alone.

Nice list. Seems like you could have some more comedies in there. Comedies keep us smiling. My #1 film is The Matrix. I recommend to everyone to consider it for the top lists. E.T. is better that at least half of your top 10. Might bump it up some. A Clockwork Orange always puzzles me as to why people have such affinity for it. Shock value? It uses childish nudity and twisted sadistic fantasy to force your attention. But there really is no plot and it leaves you with not really much resolution and lacks basic structure as well. So its just gelatinous mess of depraved weirdness. Maybe its entertainment...but top ever list... Naw. There's no way Ben Hur is better than Shawshank...I just cant see it. Dances with wolves was a savvy pick so nice choice on that one.

very good list, I like how you explore every part of film, not just only staying in the newer generation of film and also exploring films made from other countries other than the USA, this is a true list. not a list you'll see on tiktok, where their list composts of films only from the US and only newer films. very nice.

Interesting list! I can really recommend The Piano Teacher by Michael Haneke, that's one hell of a movie - really intense!

Thanks. I recommend Banshees of Inisherin. Not that intense but I love the cinematography, score, characters, humor, mystery, & symbolism. Also open to several interpretations. For intensity I always recommend Whiplash.

3:47 Lawrence of Arabia has a ludicrously good camera quality for the time period. I was born in 1999 and i found this movie absolutely mesmerizing ever since i've watched it about two years ago. Speak about "timeless". Just like Duke Nukem 3D. Played it for the first time last year and i was in absolute awe about it. This is the kind of creation that i wanna immerse myself in. This is why i love culture, despite being a degenerated screen addict. ...which is exactly what led me here. I just know that i've still missed out on so much of it.

I would add No Country for Old Men, Hateful Eight, Banshees of Inisherin. I can watch all 3 of these movies every weekend for eternity. Really love the locations & atmosphere they provide. I agree with Taxi Driver, The Dark Knight (only the 1st one), Whiplash & Room.

I have my own top 50, it’s interesting to me that we don’t have a single film we share on our lists. Yours is defo more classic/high brow for the most part, mine is more sci-fi/horror influenced. For example, I have Big Trouble in Little China, The Thing, Predator, Aliens, Under the Skin, Star Wars, Prey, Chocolate, Gremlins, Ghostbusters, Alita Battle Angel, The Exorcist, Midsommar, Malignant, Labyrinth, Psycho Goreman, Bladerunner 2049, Nacho Libre, The Witch: Subversion, Wonder Woman and Black Dynamite to name a few

@@JC-li8kk Banshees is in my top 50, loved it. As for Alita, I was one of the obsessives that went multiple times to see it at the cinema (3 times.) Some people photographed 70 odd tickets to prove their obsession, crazy horses right!
