Those ruler sets to make blocks are genius! Those types of quilts are intimidating, but I could totally do them with those handy dandy things. I need to look into those rulers with grip around the edge. I sometimes get crooked cuts when my rotary blade pushes my ruler out of line as I'm cutting :/

I love my new hexagon ruler. I just finished a quilt using all flower prints for the hexagons and I got a 60 degree triangle ruler to add to the ends to make stars. I think the crazy patch ruler set needs to be the next purchase I ask my husband to get me. I also want to try the half hexagon part of my ruler and do the braid pattern you had on another video. Thanks for all your great information!

My fave hands down: The Stripology ruler ... Creative Grids makes a pricey one {50+ $$} .. June Taylor makes a less pricey one that I bought in JoAnn's .. using a coupon, I paid 12$ for it. I think Michael's carries it as well. Lifesaver when it comes to cutting strips. There are tons of tutorials out there showing you exactly how to use it.

I am currently in love with my June Tailor Shape Cut Plus 12 Inch x 18 Inch Slotted Ruler! This i amazing! It makes cutting strips almost effortless and now I can cut them accurately! Also, I have never been able to square up my blocks as precise as I can now. I just got mine this past weekend.

I also have the Omnigrid Marker Ruler Trio for quarter inch marking, I just love them. I use a lot the Folded Corner Clipper for everything triangle and because I love curved corners at a quilt, I often work with the Multi-Size Curved Corner Cutter. These are my favorites.

Just found this video - the Tucker Trimmer #1 and #3 - two different sizes for working with diagonal seamed pieces. They make a fantastic job of squaring up for wonderful results when pieced together. (And also work well with squaring in general with their numbered markings and lines)

Good video! I like this method much better than the one I have been using. Do you sell the ruler for this block? Does the ruler make several different sizes? The size you used is a little large, or does the ruler only make the size you demonstrated? Thank you. Again, good demonstration.

Love your Purple Flying Geese quilt, it's beautiful. Do you sell the pattern separately? I would take the course but it's really expensive for Australians for one class. It's $52 after exchange. That's a lot of money for one class.

I totally understand, the price is because it has 19 video lessons and shows the process from start to finish. I can look into providing the written pattern alone for people who don't want or need all the video lessons. There is also this video which show how to use the ruler and you may be able use this video and purchase the ruler to figure out your own pattern if you have some experience as well. kzread.info/dash/bejne/foGbppJtZJqdgtY.html
