I finally started my loc journey again. Wish me luck.

I love your locs, it's hard to believe it's been 3 years. Time flew by. I have some two headed dragons as well....lol. I have microlocs so they kinda thinned on the side but I used onion oil to rethicken my edges.

heyy sis love your locs i like thick locs i only have about 40 something locs and ive had thinning too just a couple. your locs look beautiful!!!! keep it up and I dont style mine really eaither lol not as much when i was a loose natural its actually easier for me now. congratz on your 3 yrs!!! yayy!!

I'm almost 4 years into my journey as well and also have a few two headed dragons. This is my third set and l love them. I'm still contemplating if l want to color this set. Your locs are beautiful.

Your locs are still as gorgeous as ever. Per the thinning, I don't know if bleach has featured in your coloring process, becuase if it has then that might be a contributing factor. What I am sure of is that for a majority of loc heads who've had their locs for a good while and use product for maintenance, after a while the accumulated weight of the product then begins to pull on the roots and then thin them out. I'm a bit stumped in your case though, because my observation has been that the hair loss from heavy locs more commonly occurs at the edges. It might be worth considering what your go-to style is and if that in any way might be responsible. Also, cut out stress ('cos that was it for me) and check your cortisol and thyroid hormone levels. It could also be nothing but the next phase of loc maturation.

Your locks are beautiful! I wish I had your density 😩! I used to dislike 2 headed dragons, but Im coming around cus I had to combine several and that seems to be the least damaging method. Realized they fit my semi freeform look too, so I’m good with em now lol.

I'll be two years into my loc journey on the 28th of June. Can't wait until my hair is your length. But I'm loving everything about it. How often do you re-twist?

I started with 130, down to 89.... cut the loc'd portion & combined the new growth to another thin loc. Your hair looks really good❤️ I feel like its shrunken tho? Bcuz I feel like your hair was longer than that as a loose natural. For your ones that look okay, but are thinning at the root... maybe dont retwist them as much. Let the roots get stronger.

Thank you for sharing! I did lose a lot of length from shedding when I combed out my ends back in November. Now that I'm about to allow the ends to relock back up, I expected for there to be even more shrinkage before it gets longer. I can try waiting a little bit longer before retwisting my center locs so they can get stronger.

Dice the last time I’ve seen u your hair wasn’t that long so how long are u planning on growing your hair

I'll grow it as long as I can just as long as it doesn't get in the way of everyday tasks (using the restroom or getting inside the car) or feels too heavy.

If i wanted to get rid of those loose ends could i cut them off or interlock the ends?
