I sold most of my full size perfume bottles. I only have one for summer, winter and one for all year around. If I get bored and want to try something new, I just buy travel size perfumes.

If you want to socialize, try your local library for book clubs, attend workout classes, religious centers always have groups, volunteer, etc. I believe it’s best to have the intention of going in and having fun rather than making friends. That just happens naturally.

It’s really hard to make friends when you get older. People usually have their set friend groups from grade school, high school, college, and work. I’m in my 30s and I have my set friend group. However, I’m always open to meeting new people that I call girlies, not friends. We hang out and it’s a good time. Friendship is built over years. You have to be cautious of peoples intentions when making new friends as you get older.

PT. 1) Hey Octavia, I pray that your New Year’s is going in a positive direction to the glory of God. I am so grateful that the Lord Jesus has taken you so far and His provided you with His divine peace that surpasses all understanding. Continue to grow in faith in the Lord Jesus, because just like you said, it’s nice to get different perspectives from people, but at the end of the day, only God holds the answers There are certain “INS” that you mentioned in which I could understand why you want to hold onto them but if I can, I would like to show you the whirly perspective, and then the biblical perspective of the specific things that you mentioned. Of course, take all of these back to the Lord, because at the end of the day, I’m not Jesus, so I don’t know everything, but these are things that the Lord has allowed me to come to the realization of. Chile, I know this comment is long, so feel free to copy and press the audio to speak it out if you want. Always remember that if you have any questions, you can always take those questions to the Lord and He will reveal to you the answer in the way He sees fit to do so. Reading: There is nothing wrong with reading books, but depending on what we’re consuming, that can depict our outlook on life. (I don’t like to read personally, except for the Bible, but that’s something the Lord has revealed to me). Worldy - The books you read the more fulfilled be. Biblically - Worldy wisdom will not satisfy you. Wisdom that comes from God is the only wisdom we truly need that will take you in the direction God has for you (Proverbs 4:5-9- the book of Proverbs is a book of wisdom, literally. It talks about wisdom, and how to interact with people, and every day situations). This is not me saying it’s okay to be ignorant to the things going on around us. That’s not what I’m saying at all. What I’m saying is at the end of the day, people can provide as much advice and knowledge as they want, but wisdom that is rooted in Christ Jesus is true wisdom. I know from experience. Yoga: Yoga is actually rooted in Hinduism, where each pose they do, they are worshiping a false deity, also known as demons. This was something that I recently learned. I don’t do yoga, but I’ve tried it before and I didn’t like it because it didn’t release any of stress that I had. I understand the notion of “Well I’m not purposefully worshiping any demons so I can keep doing it.” Something that the Lord has been reminding me of lately is just because it might look good on the surface, doesn’t mean that it is good for your soul. I’m a chip girly. Chips are my favorite snack. Does that mean I should consume loads of it every day throughout the day (Not gonna lie, some days I’m a work in progress with that, but anyways), no. Even chips that I eat that are healthy might taste good, but it doesn’t mean it’s always good for me. Worldy - The world will tell you to give into your inner chakras and energy (which is actually a new age belief that is rooted in witchcraft, and the Bible tells us to stay away from witchcraft and all form of divination, which is an abomination in God’s sight -- [Leviticus 19:31; 20:6; 1 Samuel 15:23; Revelation 21:8]). Biblically - The Bible tells us to stay away from every form of darkness (1 Thessalonians 5:22). The devil wants us to be blinded by the things of this world, so that we cannot grow in our faith in the Lord Jesus (2 Corinthians 4:1-6). Even things like yoga. However, we know that just like we live in a physical world, we also live in a spiritual world, where there are things going on in the spirit room that we do not understand unless you have the Holy Spirit inside of you. God tells us to keep away from idols, to have no other gods, but Him (Exodus 20:3) since there’s only one God and no other (Isaiah 44:6). How can we say we love God but also indulge in practices that talk about false “gods?” Again, this was something I recently learned a couple months ago. Even though I am someone who doesn’t do yoga personally, I had no idea there was more to it than what the surface level appeals to be. For me personally, when I pray, I am not on my knees most of the time. Sometimes I’m in a “crisscross applesauce” position because my knees will tend to hurt (I know it sounds very elementary, but bear with me), sometimes I walk around my room while taking to God, or I’m sitting on the edge of my bed. At the end of the day, it is all about your heart posture, but still take all these things to the Lord. Meditation: meditation is another way of pondering on some thing steadfastly. Meditation is not a bad thing however, if you are not meditating and pondering on the right things, you are doing it in the incorrect manner. I use this Christian meditation app called abide meditation. I’ve been using it since I was in the 10th grade (before I became a Christian) and I’m in my third year of college, so it’s clearly been a long time. I would highly recommend this because this meditation is rooted on pondering the word of God, not the things of this world. Worldy - According to the world’s standards, meditation is rooted in new age, which is witchcraft, and again, the Lord Jesus tells us to stay away from witchcraft, mediums, horoscopes, zodiac signs, occult practices, the list goes on. Biblically - I can tell you firsthand that someone I know used to be into some of these things (like horoscopes and psychics) while professing they believe in God. The Lord, thankfully, freed this person from that mindset, and still is. The point is, you cannot indulge in the things of this world (things that God doesn’t like) and you’re a Christian at the same time. It’s important to note that God is always working on us and those who are truly in Christ Jesus are being sanctified by the Holy Spirit daily. The Holy Spirit is cleansing us from old habits that we used to cling to that do not glorify God, and that do not benefit us. I am a work in progress as well. There are things I used to do that were disgusting in gods sight, but the Lord has freed me from that, and is still freeing me from mindset that would keep me bondage mentally. Even though you can believe in the Lord Jesus, that doesn’t mean you should also be participating in these abominable acts. Whether someone realizes it or not, they are consulting demons when they participate in these things. Even simply claiming a zodiac sign is coming into agreement with these false practices, and that’s what the devil wants you to do. He wants you to come into agreement with things that are rooted in witchcraft and you don’t even know it. That’s why God says “people perish for a lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). The world is so quick to believe in zodiac signs and horoscopes, but they refuse to get to know Jesus. That is a clear example of the devil, blinding their spiritual eyes, preventing them from coming to the truth about Jesus, so that their soul can be set free (2 Corinthians 4:1-6). -->>> part two in reply to this comment

PT.2) Manifestation: This is also a practice rooted in new age and the occult. This is also a practice rooted in the “Law of Attraction” which is a still New Age practice. Worldy - A simple description of worldly manifestation is that in the worlds eyes, you can think of something and it come to life. Biblically - Let me get something straight. None of us human beings have the power to think of something, and it come to life. Let me give you an example: I cannot turn my black mechanical pencil into a green mechanical pencil. I cannot manifest that. I do not have that power at all and you don’t either. God who created the heavens in the Earth and everything within it, including us, human beings, if you wanted to do something like that, he has the power to do so (Genesis 1:1-5). Us human beings do not have that power. The word of God tells us that what a man soweth, he also reap (Galatians 6:7-9). Another way of understanding that is the lifestyle you’re living is edifying and glorifies the Lord, you will reap (receive) bountiful and satisfying blessings from God. On the other hand, if you are living a lifestyle that is not joining you near God every day, but drawing you away from him, meaning you’re living a lifestyle of sin, and living life as God doesn’t exist, those consequences are things someone will reap (receive). Let’s be very clear that blessings do not always come in the form of materialistic goods. God doesn’t just bless us materialistically with all of our necessities, but He also has blessed us with things that we genuinely don’t need and things that truly satisfy our soul. Such as godly wisdom, discernment, knowledge, and understanding that comes from the Lord. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how much money and materialistic goods a person has, if you do not have godly wisdom and discernment, you’re walking life blindly, and that’s just the truth. Wisdom is more profitable than silver and gold (Proverbs 3:7-34). I do agree with what you said earlier though when you specified that “Words have power” because the Lord does say “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit” (Proverbs 18:21). Meaning, if you keep looking at life from a negative point of view, your actions might follow up with that. if you look at life of a positive point of view, your actions might follow up with that as well. However, we cannot manifest our thoughts into reality. This topic can get tricky when it comes to explaining so if you want, there’s this video that you can watch that will explain it better ( kzread.info/dash/bejne/e4ZpuNiuYZCtlLA.htmlsi=NJaQgnYlWEIvelT8 ). I’m not gonna lie, I can be quite pessimistic and that is something the Lord is working on in me. I do try, by God’s grace, to look at the brighter side to things, and that has been really helpful these past years. Definitely easier said than done but the more you implement that into practice, the easier it is. This is a no way me trying to shame or bash you Octavia. This is a no way me trying to come across as if I know more than you, and as if I know everything, which I don’t. These are things that the Lord has brought to my attention and has allowed me to come to the realization of, and I just wanted to share that same wisdom, and knowledge with you to anyone who reads this comment. I pray that you will not harden your heart towards it, but that you will lean on the Holy Spirit for guidance and direction, and ask the good Lord, to reveal all of these things to you because again, I don’t know everything in the Bible tells us to test every spirit to see if it is of God (1 Thessalonians 5:21; 1 John 5:1-5), so that is what I am telling you to apply to your life and take to God. God bless you Octavia. I hope this was both encouraging and convicting for you. 🩵

I love the reading part too!, I used to love reading but these days find myself struggling - you can try promising yourself to read like 2 pages a day and go from there, also learning to put down books that don't interest me even if I'm halfway through. I'm mentally trying to fix myself from being financial anxious, and save like crazy. Financial backing is key

I love that you did a video for your ins and out! Your camera quality looks so good. Did you use your Sony or your Canon? And do you use it on the auto setting or play around with the settings to find the perfect fit?

The talking down to myself needs to go for me too. I do a lot of that and I hate it!!! 😅 The perfumes!! Oh no, I've decided to go on a no buying ban for a while and just focus on the ones I have, I did that last year too for a few months. But granted I don't have a huge collection, maybe 30 or so of them, but I still feel they are excessive for me, as someone who was so into minimalism just a few years ago, and still strives to be a minimalist as much as I can(sometimes I fail)😂
