Love Panzer bro! 🥰 I have an E55 a RaceIQ tune with a VRP 77mm clutched pulley and about to do long tube headers, a looped rail and bigger injectors with a new tune from Tony. I have been wanting to do a head unit upgrade so I can clean up my tech cluster and now I know what unit I want! I have a phone charger, camera, gps and radar detector and I wound the gps and camera cables through the Uniden coil cable to the 12volt to clean up the wiring. Its functional but its busy in window with multiple suction cups and wires. I also like the integrated Torque app and already run it on my phone so that would be one less thing taking up space on my dash in my line of sight. You also helped answer my questions about the CD changer and some of the extra wiring and I will refer back to this video when I do this job on mine. Thanks for the great content!

Me too 2004 e320 got rid of fiber bs and went all aftermarket all good but xtron keeps rebooting 🤷‍♂️

Well I followed your lead on my w211 xtron everthing and jlaudio amps and door speakers. Xtron unit keeps rebooting when driving what you think it is. Canbus is working steering controls and door ajar on screen. Need your help last step what do you thing big dog

I returned the optic decoder i used that and your videos for first install thank you too. So now i want to do away with fiber optic i already replaced all door speakers with jl and i have kicker 12 L7 and kicker amp powerin sub. So got the newest xtrons they had just hooked that up got power but no sound. I have a new 2nd amp to power door speakers kicker so what is easy way to do it. I located factory harnen amp and what is next step

Did you bypass the cd changer and put a tray in its place?

I am almost done system replaced everything xtron new head unit JL door speakers and two JL 12s also Two amps one for sub and 1 for door speakers so with new 4 channel amp I took out harmen amp and I am only going to be using the 4 door speakers so run speaker wires from harmen amp to kicker 4 channel. Can I use the og remote and power and ground? That would be easier then distribution blocks tfrom sub amp to 4 channel amp. So rca do I use 2 sets for it 1 set from amp to l and r front channel and 2nd rca from 4 channel amp to Rear l and right. So will that work?

You could get a optical loop and remove the cd changer.

Yea. It's like a 10 dollar part at the dealer. My problem seems to be the head unit not communicating. Could be the other components, I just checked the radio and cd player fiber optics. I think there's a tele aid and telephone maybe subwoofers?

A fiber optic bypass loop is commonly used. Can that work for the 6 disc cd changer ?

Quick question 🤔 could the radio be rebooting because I used cig lighter for constant and accessory. Why can't I use the og constant and ground? Are you sure it will drain battery I did away with fiber got 2 amps now new door speakers and all canbus works but I do have to solve this rebooting thing. Xtron thinks it's canbus I don't because canbus seems to be working idk what do you think

Which CANBUS option did you select when setting up CANBUS type? Also were you able to retain all your instrument cluster controls? I have an '09 e63 amg, the Nav is missing and music name are missing. For the music it's listed in small letters as "other" I can scroll up and down but no name. Any suggestions?

Some items won't be retained as the information for the nav is different since it needs the NAV CD to process the information. So, nav data on cluster won't be shown. Music name won't show depending on your options. My slk shows AUX on my cluster. I used a canbus decoder. Please check our my recent video on the slk55 which uses Nav2.5 HardonKarmen unit, and I replace the entire setup using a decoder to retain steering wheel functions.

You would need a module that can decode canvas. Depending on the radio you buy, it comes with it. Worse case, you purchase one separately and program

Man, this whole MOST box has been a HUGE headache for me. I have 2 ML's and both do the same thing, even with 2 different MOST boxes! All wired up correctly but it is almost as though the MOST box doesn't send a signal to the HK amp fast enough and thus the amp just goes to sleep, doesn't send anything and I get no audio as a result. I have not been able to figure it out to get it to work. Tested my deck & I get audio from it via the speaker terminals as well as the AUX OUT so it seems to be all due to those damn MOST boxes. What are the chances of getting 2 bad ones, slim I suspect?

Hi, I have the same unit on my CLS55. It keeps draining my battery even with my car is off. Especially with decoder installed, but I need it to bypass so my Harmon kardon would work. Any tips? Thanks!

Wired it wrong. 12V and ACC are different. 12V is constant power and ACC is ignition

Yes you are right got me confused by running constant and acc off cig. Can't I just use og power and ground does it drain the battery idk help

Just did full tune up took me all day lol 12 plugs lol and sone old plug boots rusted out i fixed it all. Now i got front right clicking think might be torn cv boot so i ordered cv axel and upeer control arms and lower control arms tie rods shit if you shop around i got complete front 200 bucks new

Is it rude to ask what the unit ran you? With all expansion, harness , Adaptors include?? Very soon I’ll have my dream car!! Cls63/55 & a friend is offering this full set up for $400 He also has a bunch of adapter to keep harmoncardon

I'm sorry it's confusing. The decoder works well and is simple to use, I had purchased a new version recently and that one works flawless with updated software. I made a install video for my slk55 with better instructions similar to the e55 layout.

I kept that cig location for power and remote turn on. Closest and easy to access for fuse location

Greetings from germany. The optic fiber decoderbox is a bullshit. It dont works whit all harman Kardon cars. Skyshadow and wondefoo makes better radios than XTRONS
