Thank you so much❤❤❤. For sure, I believe thinning hair comes with age too. So I wonder what my situation would be like at 70 🙂. Jokes aside, I believe you can buy collagen as well as a really good hair, skin and nails supplement. That may help you abit.
This was a very encouraging video. Thanks sis!

I’m glad I found your channel your personality is adorable! I just started my loc journey two weeks ago. I’ve had some thinning and breakage prior to getting locs due to hormonal and stress issues. Your video gives me hope. Your hair has grown and thicken up a lot! I can’t wait to see how my hair does over the next 12 months.

All I can say is You Go Girl!!! Your hair looks great as does your natural make-up. I came across your videos while doing research on DIY small locs. For your PCOS have tried Red Maca liquid extract I use the brand Maxx Herb found on Amazon. I have found Maca to invaluable to stop extremely heavy bleeding while going through peri menopause. When I say heavy bleeding I mean as a Postpartum nurse I would use the diaper pads that were used by the newly delivered moms and I would bleed through them so, I would basically have to stay home some days due to this. Until I found Maca to balance my hormones this solved the problem.

i’m not sure how often u retwist but i’d recommend u spacing them out more, at least 2-3 months at a time. letting ur new growth get long is the sure-fire way to thicken ur locs, and in return cover ur light areas. but ofc with ur condition u might have to wait longer.
@tinnuola
2 жыл бұрын
That's true👍🏾.Thank you for your comment. I observed that there are pros and cons if you wait too long to retwist. If I retwist too often, the hair will definitely thin out more. If I wait too long, the root will start to separate from the loc meaning it may detach itself. I try to use my discretion depending on how the whole head is looking. Waiting too long doesn't necessarily thicken the hair, because the number of my follicles beneath each loc is still the same, I hope you understand? I will try to explain it in a video.❤️🤗❤️
God bless you

I just got starter locs a month ago and I take minoxidil in pill form
@tinnuola
3 ай бұрын
Congratulations on starting your loc journey♥️. I was also placed on minoxidil and spironolactone. I have been taking them for a couple of months.
You have inspired me. I'm 8 months locked and I have low density fine hair too. Do you think if you left the color out of your strands, that would have helped? I'm not going to color my locs because it'll mean more maintenance and conditioner from the color chemical damage.
@tinnuola
Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment🤗❤️. Color didn't make any difference to my hair. It didn't change the density and it didn't damage it. I used a box dye and STRICTLY followed the instructions. I made sure to condition using the conditioner in the box and I rinsed thoroughly. In the first year of doing this, I was religiously moisturizing my locs every day, but I later realized that my routine didn't make much difference. Now I just spray my hair every 3 to 4 days in between washes. The only caution I will give is if you have a scalp issue, do not let the dye touch your scalp as it can cause more issues. I wasn't very careful while doing mine. But in the future, I will be more careful 😊.

Beautiful! How many locs do you have?
@tinnuola
2 жыл бұрын
Thank you🤗. They are about 95 locs.
I have all those things you named. I go through depression and bad anxiety so one day I started cutting my hair only to hate what I done. So I always wanted locs I wear loc extensions and crochet locs. No two months back I decided to loc my hair they very short thin and alopecia has taken my edges. Thr meds I'm on thin my once thick hair. How do I get my locs to grow.
@tinnuola
Жыл бұрын
I'm so sorry about what you are going through. Do you intend to stop taking these meds soon, or are you supposed to use it long term? I wish I could tell you about a magic formula that can make your hair thick again. I can't count how many times I planned on releasing a video but held back just because I realised that this hair growth video may not help. It may mislead people and make their situation worse. My short answer on how to grow back your hair is to eat healthy, exercise and be happy. Hang around people that lift you up. Watch videos that make you feel good. Take a walk in the sun. You can also go through my year 1 video. A lot of people commented on how we can grow our hair. It's in the description box. Also, give your locs time and patience. You will be surprised a year from now. Much love to you❤️❤️❤️

@TINNUOLA no its short term it's hope.
Can i add loc extension attachment to mu thin hair to make it look fuller? Im about starting a lock journey for the first time
@tinnuola
Жыл бұрын
Congratulations on starting your loc journey 🤗🤗🤗. Loc extension is a very bad idea, especially on hair that is already thinning. Your hair won't be able to handle it as time goes on, and it will cause more breakage for you. I would advise that you stick to using just your natural hair, no matter how thin it is, your hair can handle its own weight.

Do you interlock your hair?
@tinnuola
2 жыл бұрын
The short answer is No, I only palmroll. However, at the beginning of my journey, I tried to interlock the locs in the front of my hair because they wouldn't lock, but that didn't help, so I stopped.

All of the RELIGION OF LOCS, is akin to saying ; (1) not EVERYONE who smokes cigarettes will develop lung cancer or heart disease (2) not EVERYONE who has diabetes will have an amputation or develop kidney failure or go blind (3) not EVERYONE who uses heroin or meth will overdose (5) not EVERYONE who drives at 100 mph will have a deadly car crash So what the hell, if I lose ANY of my hair follicles, so what A HAIRSTYLE is WORTH THE RISK OF BALDNESS. None of these RISKS are REQUIRED to LIVE. Nor is a HAIRSTYLE REQUIRED to LIVE. THAT is what I am hearing.
@tinnuola

If I understand you correctly, yes, a hair style is not required to live life🙂. If people (with similar situation as myself) want to style at the risk of going bald, that's ok too🙂
