Thanks for sharing. this was me years ago...on my second journey..i decided to do smaller parts..because as they grew..the loc was so small but the parts had too much hair..which started to grow outside the loc..horrible..i cannot use oils or it will look like cradle cap..you do have to do what works for you
You are very welcome❤. It is truly important to do what works for you.

Merci!♥️😘♥️
Peace & blessings Sis. Your locks are beautiful and you are beautiful as well. I wanted to share a KZread video story I came across recently. A young lady whose daughter had alopecia. She took her to many doctors. And none could help her. So the young lady asked the doctors to do blood analysis to help pinpoint what internally could be the problem. She did research on lifestyle changes in the diet and started giving her vitamin D, raw fruits and vegetable diet. And her daughter hair grew back. Also did a blood detox. It inspired me to look into it as I have hair loss in the crown. I desire the best for you Sis.
Thank you so much. I should probably research how to perform a blood detox. Peace and blessings to you too🤗
For the blood detox she bought herbs. I got mine from Amazon called Tealyra Blood Cleanser tea
You are very welcome Sis. Her video is called HOW I HEALED MY DAUGHTER ALOPECIA AREOTA NATURALLY by Khamleon Kay. Hope that helps. Be blessed.
Thank you so much, sis ❤@ahavahyasharal5643
Greetings! I enjoyed your presentation immensely dear-heart and especially "pray" asking The Lord God Jesus Christ to bless my hair, my crown. May heaven continue to smile upon you.
Amen! Thank you so very much🤗♥️🤗
And have you tried scalp shots using your own blood I forgot the name of the procedure
My Trichologist suggested it but it is way too pricey to pay out of pocket for PRP. My health insurance does not cover it. Also, she could not assure me if it would work, so God knows how many sessions I would have to undergo before we see results.
Have you tried oral minoxidil in pill form
Thank you for your comment! Yes, I am currently taking Oral Metformin and Spironolactone. My dosage for Spironolactone recently finished but I am still taking the Metformin.
Thank you for sharing this video. I have thinning hair on top and sides. I do you locs. I love them.
You are very welcome, thank you for watching❤😘♥️
So beautiful, so awesome, so amazing. Much love, my sister.💗💜❤️💕❣️
Thank you so much, much love to you too❤❤❤
Thank you for showing your scalp. Mine looks the same with my new locs (1 year growth). I only wear my hair out at home because of the bald spots. Did you show yours in public?
At home, I wear my satin cap or nothing at all. But when I'm stepping outside, I ALWAYS cover the bald spots. When my locs were shorter, I wore wigs. Now that they are longer, it is a bit more difficult to wear wigs, so I use a big headband to cover the bald spots, or I tie my head wrap. I will probably create a video illustrating this someday, fingers crossed 🙂. Thank you for watching❤.
I appreciate you sharing your journey and your courage and confidence
Thank you so much🙂♥️🙂
I just got starter locs a month ago and I take minoxidil in pill form
Congratulations on starting your loc journey♥️. I was also placed on minoxidil and spironolactone. I have been taking them for a couple of months.
Thanks. I’m struggling with the same. My locs are on a year now. My crown is thin and edges are extremely thin. So stressful
It is extremely stressful. I try not to think about it. I maintain the hair and get busy with other things. If I'm stepping out, I grab my scarf or headband to cover the bald regions.
@@tinnuola and like you say , life stresses make it worse. I feel like I’m looking at myself because this is exactly what I go through. Some months the patches look like they are growing but then back again.
😭 I am a few weeks in, trying not to get hair wet and wrap every night. My locs are thin too but hoping for best ❤ Thanks for video😊
Thank you for watching 💖. Congratulations on starting your loc journey🤗. The locs will thicken up in no time. Even though it is freshly made, it is okay to wash and wet it from time to time. Depending on the method used, you can wash your hair but wear a wig/stocking cap so they don't pull apart.
I appreciate it! I am going to keep moving forward and taking one day at a time!!@@tinnuola
Loving your hair, how many locs you have,?
Thank you🙂. I had about 97 locs, but over the years, I combined some of them, so at this time, I probably have between 80 and 85 locs. I stopped counting.
Question., I’m 6months in,but I hair cannot keep a retwist what can I do,? I normally Palm roll or use the comb., now I’m thinking to go interlocking method to hold down my root
For starter locs, crochet method is a very good idea if you find a great loctician. Interlocking is also good if the stylist doesn't make it too tight to the scalp. I noticed that most people run into a similar issue as yourself, especially when they begin with a palm rolling method. I started with 2 strand twists, and sometimes, it would come loose, but it was easy for me to just twist it back.
@@tinnuola thank you very much
Good morning you are gorgeous thank you for the transparency and your locs are beautiful❤

You are so welcome ❤
@@tinnuola You have a new subscriber! I’ll be starting soon. Did you braid a little first and then twist the rest?
Thank you for subscribing, Zee❤! I started with 2 strand-twists. Then, I kept maintaining them with a palm-rolling method to this day.
@@tinnuola Thanks you for responding. Your journey has been helpful to me. I understand all hair types and issues are different, but this page will be informative to me.
@zeetomas4039 Thank you so much! I'm always happy to hear that my video is helping someone out there🙂.
There are supplements like minoxidil they also have a spray. But company’s like His and Hers health that also have supplements for people suffering from hair loss
Thank you for your advice❤. I'm currently using the Rogaine foam. I'm also taking spironolactone and a compounded oral minoxidil.
Please keep posting, you are touching and saving lots of lives. ❤
Thank you so much for the encouragement ❤❤❤. I will keep posting😊.
Keep going! Your message resonates well with and I’m sure it does with several others. Your tips on locs went a long way for me. Big fan of your content, would be nice to see you post more. God bless!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your comment, and yes, I will keep going. It's a busy world, but I will try to squeeze in more time to post more often.♥️🙂♥️
stress make the body sick i dealt with alopecia & now after 8yrs my hair has grown immensely only because of released trauma & change my toxic thoughts
I agree! Stress and trauma is a major contributing factor for me. They can cause so much damage to the body. If only there is a magic wand to take all the stress away, wouldn't that be splendid? I guess prayer and meditation are all I can do at the moment.
Same issue as you. Glad I found you.
Aww, it will get better🙂. I'm glad you found me🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️
You are a gorgeous woman with the most beautiful eyes and locs! ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much 🤗🤗🤗
So good to have you back🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much😄😄😄❤️❤️❤️
Your hair has grown sooo much and it continues to look great! Congrats on sticking to your journey 🎉
@@thenateechannel Thank you so much❤️❤️❤️. I'm hanging on as much as I can🙂.
You are beautiful and one of my inspirations to start my locs 🥰
Thank you so much🤗❤🤗.
My hair is similar. Thank you for this video.
You are most welcome. Thank you for watching ❤️
Your locs looks good ❤ Finally i can have hope on my journey..i am on day 2 and i felt like my hair is less dense. One of the reasons i made a decision to lock is the blowdry heat and plaiting which made my scalp so painful to a point of almost cutting my hair..
Thank you so much! I'm so glad I gave you hope❤️. And I will encourage you to keep the hope alive. The first year is usually the toughest. After 1 year, it will get fuller. As long you don't have alopecia like me, you will love it.🙂
I have alopecia fine hair as well and just said I want to loc my hair, because NOTHING works for thickening hair and I am over doing my hair and finding "that next syle". I just want to "leave my hair alone" and stop worrying about it and being obsessed. And to be honest your hair looks really good and sometimes our eyes don't see progress. But your hair looks like how I want mines to look when it starts growing. Don't cut it, it looks really good, be grateful. Just let it grow and let it go. Be free. I'm tired of being obsessed with my hair
Thank you so much❤️. You are right. There is no magic formula to thicken hair, and I'm starting to also realise that it seems nothing can fix my alopecia😞. I must admit, the back of the hair is so beautiful, but the crown and front have a mind of their own 😀. Regardless, I will hang on to them for as long as I can.
I am in the same boat so tired of trying to figure out styles dir my thin hair
So proud of you and your journey..you’ve taught me to just embrace the journey. ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing your journey.
You are most welcome, and thank you for watching 🤗♥️🤗
🙏Thank you...
Thank you watching 🤗♥️🤗
Hi, your locs are beautiful. May I ask? Have you tried eating a diet that consist of anti-inflammatory foods/meals that you enjoy to decrease the inflammation in the body which would also aid in regulating your hormones? Either way, I wish you well! :)
Thank you so much♥️. Yes, I have been working on my diet for years now, not only because of my scalp but because I also have PCOS. So I completely quit animal milk, I hardly eat anything that contains gluten, and I hardly fry my food. One time, I tried keto but I didn't enjoy it and it was too expensive so I returned to a low carb diet. Trust me, I have tried all kinds. In regards to my hormones, I believe my diet is helping, but in regards to my scalp, I think there's permanent damage in most areas, and I can't reverse it. I currently see some parts growing back with the help of Rogaine and some medications. I will talk more about this in a future video.🤗
@@tinnuola 💜🤗
Hello sister, your locs are beautiful. May I ask, have you tried allowing your locs to grow without retwisting? Semi- freeforming and only separating without retwist could help. This may decrease the tension on your scalp. I wish you well on your journey. Peace & Blessings ❤
Thank you so much🤗. Freeforming is something I have considered lately. I experimented with doing that recently. I did not retwist for approximately 5 months, but I noticed that my locs started to thin out, I lost some locs. However, I combined some locs and started new baby locs. But I'm still thinking that long term, I may have to completely leave the front to free-form while I keep retwisting the back. It sounds like a really good idea👍🏾
Hello sister, I love your locs. Have you considered not retesting? You may find that those bald areas disappear as you allow your roots to grow without retwisting. Your locs are still very beautiful. I don’t retest mine very often and I know that eventually I will stop retwisting altogether. Stay positive beloved. 🌹
Thank you so much♥️. Yes, I have considered it. As a matter of fact, I stopped retwisting a while ago, but due to this decision, I have lost about 3 locs because the growth cycle of my hair is short, so the roots of my hair are detaching from the locs. However, I don't mind because I intend to combine the weak ones to my stronger locs, but if I lose too many, the locs will have to go. In regards to my bald spots, unfortunately, I have had them for more than a decade now, long before I started my loc journey.
@@tinnuola😢😢😢you have the same struggles as me. It’s like I’m watching myself. some months are ok and looks like it’s growing, and then boom patches appear. The back is rich like yours but my crown is exactly like yours😢😢😢I’m even scared to retwist now coz people stare and I’m tired of explaining 😢
@lerato_c Hmm my dear, I totally feel you! I'm sending online hugs your way🤗🤗🤗. Some people ask me why I cover my hair so much. They are starting to think that I'm muslim😄. As Latonya advised, I stopped for awhile. My last retwist was in December 2023. I also created some baby locs (for the ones I lost), and I plan to retwist this weekend or next. If your scalp issue only started recently, quickly nip it in the bud and run to a specialist. Mine is a little too late now, and I have made peace with it 🙂. I just need to decide if I want to keep rocking locs and covering the affected parts or completely cut them and return to wigs. I will decide by the end of this year. Much love to you♥️.
@@tinnuola 🫶🏽❤️🫶🏽Thanks again. I’ve struggled for years with alopecia so ya it’s a bit late. I was rocking bald look for a couple of years and starting grow in my hair in 2021. I’ll see how long I can do scarfs/bands and occasionally I’ll do wigs
