My 2 Month Press to Handstand Journey | Learning the Pike Press to Handstand
Спорт
Straight arm presses into the handstand are skills that I have always admired but never quite managed to progress in. That is until I decided to learn the pike press to handstand. The pike press to handstand was very challenging for me, being a not naturally flexible person it wasn't really suited to my abilities. I ended up skipping the straddle press to handstand because my pancake was so bad! But after lots of failed attempts and hard hamstring stretching I finally managed to progress and do the pike press to handstand!

Thanks :)
coming in 3 years later, im on similar journey, this video is absolute gold, we are so alike haha
Dude, that is some amazing progress! I am at the same point you were in the middle of your journey, I can hold a solid handstand, do a few shapes and have a bent arm press, but I have recently gave up on trying the straight arm press in order to focus on other things, but this motivated me to get back at the straight arm press once again!

Thanks man :) that's great to hear, sounds like you'll manage it soon if you get the mobility (or maybe you already have it I don't know)
This is quite encouraging! Well done!!
Good luck with the journey man! There’s always a harder move to do 😂 enjoy the struggle
You learned it in a short amount of time! That's awesome!! Thanks for the inspiration
Bravo dude your dedication paid off congrats
These kind of videos keep my faith strong in such a long and arduous journey💪🏼
Dude that's freakin awesome ! As you were going into those super planched Pike Presses I was holding my breath with each attempt, also feeling it in my core and wrists and lower back as if I was right there. Also that's some MAD PROGRESS on your mobility ! Your Hammies and Lower Back flexibility progress was Insane !I know this is a fairly old video but it's my first time seeing this and I had to comment.
Congrats !!! 👏👏👏
Wow very impressive! Be proud of yourself, amazing!
I also tried to learn the press a bit the flexibility is a huge factor but eventually i will get there. Nice Video man!
Thank you ☺️ very honest and raw and super inspirational
Good job guy! I'm at about your starting point now. Hoping to get the press soon!
Great job mate, loving your content. Keep it up!

Thanks man, means a lot!
Really inspiring. ATM I'm working on building shoulder strength with Pike Push Ups in order to achieve what you managed to do here. I love the progressions as it confirmed what strength I need to be capable of to evolve.
Amazing! Well done!
Excellent progress " el que persevera alcanza " no pain no gain
Really helpful to see your progress.
Fantastic!
Love it. Very inspirational man, hope you get recognized for your simplicity soon!

So proud of you brother
Awesome 👏🏼
Supper nice! Congrats!
Awesome video. Glad to find ur channel
Good work man
Wow the ending so satisfying 😭😭 From Malaysia ❤️🇲🇾
Watching for reminders, because I keep failing pike press these days. Seems the key thing I neglect is the flexibility. I find it I hug my legs for a minute or so, standing, the movement just happens so much more efficiently. It almost feels like a spring
Great work man! I’m currently at 10 second handstand but still haven’t nailed it really, I hope one day to be able to get to this though, watching your progress was really insightful and encouraging!

That's great man! You've done the most frustrating part of learning the handstand now. Everything else just takes time. Good luck!!
we can all agree that piano stool is the only calisthenics gear we all need. Great video!
Maan, I always wondered where were the You tubers that actually documented their trainings and voila! This is super cool, as I'm also beginning to take steps into pike to handstand - as I reached a milestone in my handstand progress.
Really really amazing
This video is like a motivational adrenaline shot❤️🔥
I believe that handstand press is really a big help in achieving planche..
Great job man! I agree that counts btw
Thx for share...its realy hard prosses.Gratulation
Buenisimoooo!!!!
Humble progress, well gone 👊🇫🇷
Good Job bro
Well done I should be further along in my handstand but some days just seem off

How can you keep your back straight during pike? It always seems like i can't just compress enough
👍👍
throrasic shoulder mobility is key too it seems
Damn bro what was your stretching routine? You got flexible so fast!

I might make a video about it actually. I'm not really flexible in any other plane of motion and I think the focus on the pike kinda helped me. Mostly the one leg pike stretch while keeping a straight back was really helpful

@@CaliProgress I think my weak hip flexors are what stopping my progress. I can touch my face with my knee if I really force it (pulling my knees hard). That means my hamstrings are physically able to get there. But I get very bad cramps in my hip flexors. I can't raise my legs high while keeping it straight. I think strengthening hip flexors will improve everything. Edit: I found this video on Reddit. I remember watching your handstand progress video last year. Good stuff 👍
wow u went from no straddle press to pike!!
You said at that time you could hold the handstand for 30secs. Question, how many back to wall handstand pushup could you do?
Nice bro! I saw ur handstand journey video and you motivated me, now I have banana handstand, but I'm trying to fix it xD

do u have a video of planche training?
How's it going? I hope you bought yourself new pairs of socks! 😂
should opening your shoulders be the last movement in press?
My handstand hold took me 3 months and pike press took me only 2 weeks. Maybe because I can hold tuck planche for 30seconds
wow you surely are a defiler of gravity my friend
