Thank You! For saying their tragic accident shouldn't be what defines Ladies Code. Too many times, that's the first thing people say about them is the accident. They truly are a very vocally strong group, especially Sojung, her vocal runs are crazy. At the moment, like many other2nd gen/early 3rd gen groups, they're in a state of indefinite hiatus where they say they haven't disbanded but all members have decided to focus on solo activities for the time being. Also funfact: their company, Polaris Entertainment, is the parent company to Blockberry Creative, Loona’s company.

I will admit that I had a real hard time listening to Ladies Code after the accident. I didn't even watch the memorial concert for almost two years.

Their Main Vocalist is singlehandedly one of the BEST main vocalists in all of kpop, and she's just such a hidden gem, so underrated. Even though they are from a small company they have the vocal skill of a big company group, and that's purely on talent, I really really love them

Probably the only match for Mamamoo when it comes to vocals (ok Big Mama too but they are second gen). I don't know if it was a change in their label to CJ E&M (and the delay in the release of their mini-album), but all of their momentum just got sucked out. Consider that Russian Roulette sold over 600k while Ghost sold just 34K.

They had a strong Debut Song with Bad Girls. I remember them singing 100% live on their debut stage. Their vocals, dancing and stage presence is really good. It's just sad that they are not promoted well.

The name of the blonde girl who’s voice you said was very powerful is Sojung. She was somewhat recently on a singing competition show that features singers from the past that either never reached stardom or have been somewhat forgotten. She also has a recent song from 2021 called ‘If you were still here.’ Ashley is the other girl who’s voice you mentioned. She has a KZread channel called ashleybchoi and she also is one of the hosts for a podcast called Get Real with two other male idols. They all grew up in the U.S. so the podcast is in English except for a couple episodes. The girl at 1:45 is Zuny and she has been focusing on acting right as she had been in a couple of kdramas before in 2018 and 2019. The girl that dances with man in Bad Girls is RiSe and the girl with the red hair is EunB.

Since the crash happened on her birthday, Sojung has stated that she doesn’t feel comfortable celebrating her birthday anymore. Ashley (Choi Bina) born November 9, 1991. Leader, Main dancer, lead vocalist. She was born in Korea, but lived in New York. She speaks English, Spanish, Korean and Japanese. Second Verse EunB (Go Eunbi) born November 23, 1992. Lead Rapper and Vocalist. She was the mood maker of the group. She used to train with the members of AOA. EunB passed on September 3, 2014. EunB was declared dead at the site of the accident.

I remember me and my two sisters were in so much pain after we found out about the accident. They were one of our fav girl group. They became our great bonding. We've been following them since their debut. After EunB died, we've been non stop praying that Rise would make it but unfortunately, she followed EunB after 4 days in coma. We cried our eyes out until night then fell asleep without eating. They had a great potential. They were so kind, beautiful ladies and talented. Vocals were on point. They were considered as a strong rookie girl group back then. If the tragedy hadn't happen, I know they'd be up there with those big girl groups. RIP EunB and Rise. We missed you.

OMG you have to check out Orange Caramel on your throwback videos!! Their mv CATALLENA is one of the most iconic kpop videos as of yet.(as well as the dance practice LOL) I also suggest My copycat, Magic girl, Lipstick, Shanghai Romance.

All of their releases are Fantastic. Their work as a trio is absolutely beautiful. There’s a song that has no video but it’s called my flower and it’s one of THE most moving songs I’ve ever heard. Their vocals are so powerful and raw. It’s so amazing.

Sojung is one of my favorite singers of all time! Her voice is ridiculous. She was actually on The Voice (I believe that’s how her company discovered her) and was on masked singer as well as several other shows. My all time favorite Ladies Code is probably “The Rain.” And thank you for not focusing on the tragedy and instead in the music. I don’t remember what it was on, but Sojung talked about how her and the members had a difficult time because they wanted to make their fans happy, but instead most people know them for their loss first, and always remember it when they see them.

I discovered them through this video. They're amazing.

Awww I loved Ladies Code so much!! these songs were such an experience (tbh the video for pretty pretty reminds me so much of Catallena by Orange Caramel and the vibes are similar lol) I hope you'll react to more Ladies Code, every song is so fun to watch, even those post-accident are amazing just more... sombre? and there's imagery in those videos for the missing members, like having 5 doors but 2 are closed etc. but they're so so good. If you react to any more of their songs, you should listen to So Wonderful. It's probably the one that introduced me to the group - I'd heard of them before but that was the first time I really started considering myself a casual stan. Ashley had the same name as me! Different spelling but the only other celebrity (or just person in general), I'd heard of with that name is Marykate & Ashley! Sojung's vocals were crazy and I really empathised with her struggles with anorexia. I really started to fall for her watching a couple of radio performances. And EunB and RiSe's bond was so cute. They were all SO talented and cute! The only one I hadn't completely clicked with at that point was Zuny but I also really liked her. I definitely wasn't a hardcore stan but I really adored them. I know it's stupid. The accident was 7 YEARS ago now. But I still get emotional thinking about EunB and RiSe. I remember following the live updates from the company and journalists and whatnot. It was Sojung's BIRTHDAY. That kind of tradgey isn't supposed to be allowed happen on your birthday. Praying for days that RiSe would pull through and be okay...even now thinking back on that time, I swear I'm actually tearing up. Ffs >.> I don't want the accident to be the thing that defines them either. But I still can't see Ashley, Sojung and Zuny and NOT think about the 2 girls that should be with them. 21 is just too young to die. I tried to support them for Galaxy and The Rain but I just couldn't.

this is a very vocally talented group.. they really are one of the best vocals out there.. what happened to them is super hard.. I can't imagine how hard it is for the surviving members and the fans.. :(

I still have "Yeppo! Yeppo!" MV in my phone after all these years. It's so cheerful! There are some LC5 videos out there that you might want to see, but also the later LC3 have another 4 videos that are *worth* seeing in maybe another episode: "Galaxy", "The Rain", "Feedback" and the last one before their disbandment "Set Me Free". They disbanded because in 2020 they were in fact seniors and felt quite older (25-29 y/o) than current girl groups. Although fans didn't forget them after being on hiatus for 3 years, the sales were not strong enough for their company (Polaris) to keep supporting them.

It was just my luck that I first found LC scant months before the disaster. I enjoyed the quirkiness, and kept up with them after. Ashley is a co-host on one of the DIVE Studio podcasts, so I've been watching her and KARD's BM there, as well as AleXa, Jae, and a number of other hosts.

their songs are truly elite, i highly recommend "galaxy" and "the rain'" and "feedback" but my favorite song of all time by any artist is a song by them called "my flower", so beautiful

Im a little late on this but Im really happy about what you said here and how the tragedy shouldnt define their music. On another note, I do believe it made the three current member mature a lot (obviously), and its something you hear very well in their music post-accident. That's why I would really like for you to react to Galaxy ! I love this song a lot and its the first one they put out after the long break they took to recover. also, Sojung is my favorite member, even thought I cant say Im extra familiar with them at all (I just know a few songs). but Sojung's voice is one of those voice you can reconize among thousands, and my favorite piece with her solo so far is called Crystal Clear and has become now one of my fave songs ever. if you could check it out too that would be awesome ! anyway thanks for the great reactions again :)

I really love ladies code a lot, their songs are bops. I wish I had gotten into them when they first debuted but sadly that’s not the case. But also at the same time I’m kind of glad I didn’t cuz I probably would have been emotionally broken with what happened. Some other songs of theirs that I like are galaxy and the rain if you wanna check those out as some point

I learned about this group only after their Galaxy release and other songs like Rain, My flower end etc. And i was mesmerised by their vibe. And after that i learned about the tragedy. Somehow, I was afraid to watch their mv's of old times of OTP 5. But thanks to you sir Austin i finally watched. They are gorgeous. Strongly recommend you to check up Galaxy, The Rain. And maybe My flower, but for someone it may be a little bit creepy.

I got to know them after the accident and started listening to their music afterwards and it makes me sad I wasn't there supporting them before, their talent is legit and their songs are great.

I remember back then, they were starting to be recognized with their song 'Pretty Pretty', I am a Phixo so I watched Mama 2013 and found them really attractive. They should have been one of the best kpop vocal girl groups if they had their chance to grow more. The kpop industry were shocked to find out about Eunbi and Rise's passing including me. I'm glad that the three girls moved forward and continue the legacy of the group even as a three member group. You should react to more 2nd generation kpop, I recommend the concept kings, VIXX. -Voodoo Doll -Chained Up -Shangri-la All their songs has their own flavor and I think you will like them too, as they are really a talented group thus their name (Voice, Visuals and Values in Excelsis), you may see me in random vids because I am a multi-fandom (Starlight, Melody, Reveluv, SONE and many more but my main is EXO)
