MVA Driver License Test at Annapolis location in MD - Post Covid - Nov 2021

From Start to Finish. Order of maneuvers vary with each examiner. Ours was the following:
1. 3 Point Turn
2. Pull in
3. 2-Point Reverse
Remember to always indicate, never rush or brake harshly. Use your reverse camera to your advantage if you have it, while also looking behind and side to side as you would if you did'nt have the camera.

    Just an update for May 2024: The test is on this course but all you have to do is back up into the coned area (2 point reverse park), no three point turn or forward pull-in to park in the coned area. You will likely be waiting for other testers to complete the course before you, so you'll get to watch someone else do the course. Before the course they'll make sure you know the controls of the car so make sure you're familiar with the hazards, turn signals, etc. There is a brief road test after the course, so you don't park in the white sign area until after that's done. So at the last stop sign in the course you take that weird little left/right and pass straight through the front entrance area to leave the MVA. Drive slow through there, watch for pedestrians/other cars. The road test is easy, just make sure you pay attention to the signs you pass because the instructor will ask about them. Get plenty of practice in, get comfortable in your car, remember to breathe, and you'll pass it no problem.

    This video was a life saver. I just got my drivers license Saturday and this video was a huge help. I was worried that the spots would be very tight but they weren’t at all, I have a smaller car but I had plenty of room. If you watch the other car during the backing into the spot, you can see very clearly how big the spot is compared to a medium sized car. I really appreciated having this video to calm my nerves. I had some questions about things that I wanted to answer in case someone else wanted to know. 1. You can make corrections, you don’t have to pull into the spot with one swoop. 2. You can do more than 3 points on the 3 point turn, I only needed three but I learned you can do more. 4. The spot for the three point turn seems much smaller than it is. 5. The instructor was very nice and you were allowed to ask if you need clarification. Good luck to everyone and don’t sweat it too much

    Hello. Just wanted to state this video helped me a lot. As of Nov 2022 the mva only requires you to know the two point turn. Afterwards, it's the road test. The two point turn is fairly simple and the space is wider than what it appears in the video. Just take your time backing in. There is room for error and to correct yourself. Once you see the right most cone in your side mirror, keep going until you see the left. Then straighten the wheel and back in. Utilize all your mirrors and the back window. The road test is also simple. They will ask you what signs you passed along the way. Mines were the speed limit as well as a few stop sign ahead. They took me down the road past the shopping center. Around and back to the dmv. Passed my first try.

    Failed twice at the Glen Burnie mva but just passed my test today at the Annapolis mva . The workers are way more talkative and don’t seem like they’re just miserable working like the ones at Glen Burnie are. Also the test is actually very easy all you have to do is just stay calm and relaxed and drive with confidence like you do when you drive on your own time. Wish I came here the first time I probably wouldn’t have had to take 3 test lmao

    gave this video a few watches, especially for the 3 point turn. just took my test at glen burnie and passed!! the layout is a TINY but different (separate spaces for 3 point and parking) but this video is more or less the same and helped so much :) it was very easy, and they absolutely let you fix your parking job (without comment) just as long as you get in the space and don't hit cones. you can also ask for them to repeat directions! thank you for the video, it really helped calm my nerves :)

    Do you have any tips for the reverse parking that works at the MVA because the reverse parking I practice with cones does not have the blocks w/cones like the MVA and it is different from practice. So I was wondering @DJhotpantz

  • @djhotpants

    @djhotpants

    Жыл бұрын

    U can use extra cones to mock up where the blocks are so then you know how to avoid them. Also if you line up your car with the front most cones of the parking space itself, it is unlikely you would need to worry about the blocks, which are a whole parking space away from the cones on either side. Their main purpose is to enclose a space for you to do the 3 point turn in, as you see in the video. Notice that during this particular procedure, the parking cones are moved to the edges of the blocks to give you three parking spaces worth of area to maneuver the car.
