It’s the final episode of Season 8 of MUTANT on a Mission, and it’s a true cold snap when Big Ron takes on Iron Lore Gym located in the freezing Canadian Prairies. 🥶🏔️ Helmed by longtime friend and rival during his competition days, Aaron Gausvik takes Big Ron on a tour of this rapidly expanding gym that already has the vet of some pros. But Big Ron isn’t a stranger to the harsh conditions that await him, as he called Edmonton his home a long time back in the 90s when him and Aaron trained at an old Gold’s Gym.
Ripping machines hot off of the Atlantis Catalogue, Aaron’s history as a businessman has allowed him to gain enough capital to make sure he can afford the biggest and best for right off the bat. But having a good gym is more than just new machines, as Aaron was able to snag a calf machine thought to be “defective” due to its lack of range of motion for squatting. Perhaps the best machines are those of the owner-favorite free moving chest flys and impressive suite of other chest equipment. 💪
But Ron isn’t here for chest, as he challenges Aaron to throw it back to the good old days and train back together again, and Aaron wasn’t going to say no. 😜 The two are clearly lifting to impress, losing track of which sets they’re on during their work sets while reminiscing on the glory days of the late 90’s and the goal of reaching 300lbs. 😤 The atmosphere is unmatched, and Big Ron gets serious and flexes some of his badass MUTANT merch after it gets too hot for his trademark hoodie.
