True words about the selling out of Jamaica coastline around the entire island. Everytime the Prime minister and the tourism minister celebrate another hotel along the coastline, Jamaicans become more landlocked and cutoff from the sea. It is deliberate and treacherous sellout by the political class.

Yes, 💯 % truth. The sea (beaches) is an economic stronghold, it brings money and they know this. I've been to Ocho Rios in previous years and wasn't in any resort and these demons created barriers to prevent us from going to the beach and I said to myself but this is where I was born! I live in the US now and I hardly have rights here too and more painful is not having rights where I was born! However it goes I'm coming home to my yaad!

Good Morning Mutaburka from Ireland. Everything that you are saying is correct. JAMAICANS, built your Island with the Blood Sweat and Tears of your Ancestors, it is YOUR LAND - YOUR HOME. Same is happening here in Ireland the Corrupt Government selling off our land to Outsiders, we too are surrounded and if we dont stand up and fight we will once again become Prisoners in our own land. God Bless You Muraburka and the people of Jamaica - get up- stand up - for your children's future. 🙏🇮🇪🙏

I am a white man from Maine in the US. I went to Jamaica last year with my friend from Westmoreland and we had a blast hanging with his family and friends. I liked it best at his family’s yard. They were quite well off with resources but quite poor as well. They had animals for food and to sell/trade. But work is quite hard to find and the wage is quite poor. We went to Negril and checked out some of the open beach with touristy restaurants and bars which I didn’t really like but his cousin wanted to meet girls. He said a black man doesn’t stand a chance with a black woman unless he is with a white man in Negril. We both struck out haha. I had more fun at his female cousins bars and people were more friendly and joked around more there than in Negril. Also eating food was different in tourist areas than local areas. What I’m saying is real Jamaica is cooler than tourist Jamaica. Sadly Jamaica was built on colonialism and capitalism and the people who call it home were brought there. The people who were first there were pushed out. My friends dad may be part native to Jamaica. That’s what I think anyways. There’s too many people in Jamaica for the infrastructure they have and the work they don’t have. I don’t know how you can stop toxic capitalism but I will say I don’t like it and it’s all about money. You’ll have to decide how to get people to bring to question and vote to keep areas the same and not commercialize them.

The "problem" with capitalism is when it's manipulated by corrupt people. I see no problem when people has more oportunities thanks to capitalism, but when these oportunities are driven by miserables in power then i can understand why many people say nothing good about it. Now, being far behind in time isn't an intelligent option either because you will instead by an slave of the socialism sooner or later. People must fight in order to have the progress and the liberty by their side, because the parasites always want to live at the cost of our integrity. One love from Argentina.

Enuf truth. Just know we we as so-called Black People are the true original natives of all land on this flat place so-called earth. Please, know that the Great light above blessed the dark melanin skin, which is totally opposite of that which is mutated skin. Total Blessings to the Gods of Truth.

Dunce People who've not read a single book will say you spoke ignorantly when they are the fools! You are onto to the truth here bro. All the earth was all black people before all these other things came along. This is out there now and no longer hidden! So all those who have been living under rocks please do yourself a favour and start researching and reading about our real history as black people. Focus!

Muta, while I can agree with you to a level. I will disagree on another level. Each time a murder happens in Jamaica people will flee that area, most times leaving the country. So Each time someone run from the violence. They will sell whatever they have in that area, making way for foreign investors to buy it for cash at discounted prices. So if the Government of Jamaica can control the crime situation. Things might work out better for Jamaica and Jamaicans

Maybe alot of the violence was actually orchestrated, people paid to create this chaos, or left on the streets to cause this chaos year after year, to keep diasporan Jamaicans from bringing home there money and buying houses and land. And keep Jamaicans flowing out of the island.

Is the first time I agree with Mutabaruka, when you talks about foreigners buying up land investing heavily in the country, the problem with it you have been too Friendly with the white man for too long, and their gateway is also through the music you watch what's going to happen to the Reggae industry

The same is happening in Hawaii and my beloved Puerto Rico 🇵🇷, even though by law the coastline is to remain accesible to the local residents there are foreigners that acquiring these beachfront real estate and they assume that the beach is part of the property and some of them get away with fencing off parts of the beach, we need to get our beaches back or else we will be landlocked in our own island.
