Much prefer having the John Baird compared to that rather bleak looking little park. An excellent pub nowdays.

Wow! Brilliant video! Nice to see those classic tree/plant bays... shame they took them away near planet organic (although they did look a bit tatty) I've always wanted to see what the buildings next to the odeon/The Everyman looked like back in its day..

Thx, fellow Whovian! I suppose that big tree was a bit imposing so you can see why that had to go. And before the Odeon and shops were built, there were some beautiful big Victorian houses quite different from the ones that have survived on that side of MH Road.

Muswell Hillbilly wow, cool oh and i wasn't talking about the tree 😂 not to be rude or anything but i was talking about the stone flower bays :D which used to be there but now they have gone due to that refurbishment they did on that area, do you have any pictures or videos of what that area used to look like with the houses?

I agree entirely re the flower beds. The only pic I have of the MHR houses is at 3:33 of my Then & Now video.
