My wife just bought the 2023 Premium Ext RWD and she got 72 Months 0% APR on that. More than offsets the loss of the $7500 EV tax credit. We're super happy with the acceleration performance, despite not bing the AWD version and the added bonus of maximum range has been very welcome. We're actually getting upwards of a full 300 miles of range, even at 70-75mph highway speeds. Very happy with it so far.

Great video! After over 3 years of ownership I still haven't found another EV that has everything the Mach-E has that I love. Rear cross-traffic alerts, radar-based ADAS, Blue Cruise which operates very well and is great for road trips (although I am also frustrated with lack of updated version still), dedicated buttons on the steering wheel for quick access to all functions, a quiet cabin, good build quality, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM radio, a guage cluster, a volume knob (getting rarer these days), 1-pedal drive that you can turn on or completely off and is tied to profiles of each driver (so when you start the car it automatically sets to your preference), memory heated seats, heated steering wheel, and I love the 360 top down camera that pops up automatically when in reverse or when getting too close to objects while going forward (which is amazing for parking lots and pulling in and out of my garage). I keep looking at every new EV that comes out to see if I want to switch to something else, but still no other EV in this segment has all of those things (and coincidentally the Model Y has none of them). My only cons are still no pet mode, and that nowhere on the vehicle can you see artist AND title of song playing if you are not directly looking at the radio screen.
Just recently dipped my toe in the Ev Market, after my ice vehicle needed replacing . your videos are playing back to back wealth of knowledge . ❤I ended up getting 21 Mache California route 1 the price was super cheap with the used ev credit, couldn’t pass it up. So far a nice beginner ev for me. My commute is super short everyday, less then 14 miles a day round trip. this works for me. Didn’t want to invest too much into a EV just in case I really didn’t like it in real life, so price was important to me but so far it’s been a blast. Thanks for all your videos.❤️❤️
I don't have home charging for the last 4 years. Works just fine. Sure it makes it convenient, but it's not a big deal to charge while you are running some errands or go shopping or get lunch
I’ve had mine 2.25 years. 50 k miles. Drives like the first day we got it. Love this damn car.
Thank you for all your videos. Your info helped me chose my cyber orange GT performance mach e. I also had Simon install the light up GT emblem and the dynamic pony puddle lights. I love these mods. Would have never discovered them without your videos. Thank you again! 😊 So glad you helped me chose the Mach E, I absolutely love driving it, much more than my previous model 3.

@@MachE_VLOG yup I’m in Irvine, short drive to Simon’s, he was kind enough to install them for me. :)
Another good video. Funny, I really love my '22 California Route One. I have over 30,000 miles ad plan to keep it forever. However, it isn't a good looking car, in my opinion. It looks like someone took an Escape, stuck a straw into it and blew air in. On an aside, my car got sideswiped last month. It was in the shop for three weeks, getting body work and painted. During that time, I rented a Tesla Model 3. Wow, can I tell you how much more refined the Mach-e is than the Tesla. I like the Cybertruck, but was so happy to get back into my Mach-e. Also, having Android Auto/Apple CarPlay is way more convenient. Finally, being one of the masses with a Tesla was not fun. However, I really liked dog mode. I have sent feedback to the Mach-e car.
So very happy got my premium extended RWD 0% 🙌🏼
I'm coming up on 3 years with my '21 Premium 4ex (Sally) and I'm going to buy it out - I love my MME and with the upgrades I've made to it (side stripes, door handles on the back doors, etc.) I've made it my own don't want to start over. It has the kick-to-open trunk door that I use all the time too, I've extended the warranty another 3 years, and took Ford's offer of a lesser price for extending my Blue Cruise, so I'm sticking with it. So I'm agreeing with your excellent video that after 3 years this is still a fantastic car!
I know I've said this before but You two were the reason why I got my Mach-E! Glad to be able to see your journey over the years and many more!

Aww so glad we could be a part of your journey too! 💙💙 - Liv
My 2023 Mach E CA Route 1 (I’m currently torn between the Big Red Route 1 and Red Ryder for nicknames, thoughts?) only had a three month trial of BlueCruise and the only features I’ve lost since the trial ended, so far as mapped highways go, is that I can’t take my hands off the wheel, it won’t recommend lane changes, and it doesn’t auto lane change when I signal. I just couldn’t justify the nearly $80 a month cost for those three added features. To me it feels like I’m getting 90% of blue cruise for free and paying $80 for the last 10% just seems like a poor use of resources. Thanks for all the great content and for helping me see that a good charge curve isn’t nearly as important as a well balanced EV experience (anyone else whose had live with the Kia software experience knows what I’m talking about) and keep up the great work!
Great video! I like that you are even-handed with compliments and criticisms, as nothing is either all-bad or all-good, and toxic fan behavior does the industry no favors (and it's just plain annoying). I'm a big fan of the hairpin wheels for the GT-PE, but I thought I would warm up to the Martians that you're trying out. No, still like the hairpins better. I appreciated Liv's comments about the durability of the seating material. I really like leather seating, even though it can be hard to take care of, and I was concerned about how the vinyl (ahem, active-x) seat material would hold up, but it seems like it is. I still wish that Ford would make leather seating an option. Speaking of desired options, my primary wish is for Magneride to come to the Premium trim level. Since the effect is subtle (in my experience), I can't justify upgrading to the GT/GT-PE for that feature alone, but I'd probably pay $1,500 just to have the upgraded suspension.

Mom and Dad bought the 65 mustang with a 289. Then it was passed down to my brother. he put in a 302 boss engine with 4 barrel carburetor. He also put an oversized radiator heater and a beefier transmission. It was built for an oval track. It can run high RPMs for a long time. He then sold it to me. Very fast car with a lot of power. But now I have a Mach-E select. Which i think is faster off the line then the 65 mustang. Definitely a more comfortable ride.
I love my Mach-e but honestly, $30k depreciation in a little less than a year, I’m so infuriated with it!!!

Hello. You guys do great videos. I have an early 21 long range AWD and I am looking at 2023’s with the standard range LFP have you had any experience? I like the durability of LFP and being able to charge to 100% would give almost the range of the one i have now @ 80% so kind of feels like a good trade off but i am unsure. Thanks for your time.

Speaking about issues with mach e. If anyone is looking at used ones try and avoid the 2021. They have had the most amount of serious issues (failing battery cells, bad charge ports, driveshaft issues). Mine is about to go in for it's 10th warranty issue (failed oil pump in rear motor). If you are looking for a used one make sure there isn't excessive service records.
Have enjoyed my 2021 Premium AWD Extended range since July 2021, and enjoyed your content since I began exploring what to buy! If you find the opportunity to come by the Chicago north suburbs, I see a lot of Mach E’s around for a potential meet up.

I was told not till August for mine.
Living in western Canada during the winter is not a problem with my MachE, it’s preconditioned to go to work and remote start to go home. It always starts (powers up) after sitting all day without being plugged in compared to an ICE vehicle that might not start due to the cold.
My (3) Mach-E's over 3 years was my first EV and first ever ford. I had a 2021 Job 1 select awd (E-biscuit), 2021 Job 2 Select awd (E-biscuit 2) and 2022 Premium Extended Range (E-biscuit 3). While Tesla has the better charging network and the software is lightly better, and other EVs have better charging curves if you need public charging. the Mach-E at its current price is the best available EV in this segment. Better looking (IMHO) than a Model Y, Polestar. The Chevy Options aren't great. The ID4 is for an older audience , the Nissan Arya is more expensive and the Subaru / Toyota option is horrible. The Hyundai or Kia options are really the only other EV i would consider besides the Mach-E. I've moved on from my Mach-E BUT i would highly recommend it.
On a 300 mile trip, it really doesn't matter what you're driving (gas or EV) because it will take the same amount of time. Beyond 300 miles is where gaps start to open up to the MME. The MME's slower DC charging speeds are an issue for people who like to cover 400+ miles in a day on a road trip. For Liv & Patrick, their relaxed and sociable personalities at charging stations aligns well with the slow charging, so a 40+ minutes stop is no big deal while a lot of owners would be happier with half that time for the same charge.
I've owned my Mach E for a year. Purchased a pre-owned 2021 Premium AWD extended range. Her name is Lula Kathleen. Love it but wish I would have waited 6 months. Probably would have saved $10K

Yeah the kick lift gate now. This is what I was told from Ford and a couple other people but during covid we Hit a chip shortage so some of the 2022s and up that sensor module was removed from the vehicle. All the markings are still on the vehicle. It's just a sensor module isn't the module works great. I purchased one from Simon myself. Good dude. Check him out. Ev Vida
I'm undecided between a Lightning Lariat and a Mach e Gt. I commute 30 miles a day and once or twice a month to Atlantic city or cape mayfrom north jersey 126-160miles eash way. Love the space and comfort of the f150 and love the handling of the mach e. I'm a little concerned about range during the jersey winter months in general and some concern for the parking spaces with the Lightning. I currently own a V8 Suv and don't tow. What's your opinion on what I should get?
@MachE_VLOG
Ай бұрын
You'll likely need to charge either one on longer trips, but for your commute, either would work great. Both are such good options. I wouldn't mind having a Lightning but parking would be pain and that is one of the big reasons we like the Mach-E better. Someone just posted a few days ago about owning a Lightning and a Mach-E. They had some good insights: www.macheforum.com/site/threads/lightning-vs-mach-e-by-owner-of-both.35961/

I have a 2023 Mach-e Premium Extended Range with Bluecruise 1.3. For me the frustration is that Ford clearly has a working V1.3 that works with the Mach-e hardware and they are not updating older models. Its fine for me for now because I have the latest version, but as 1.4 rolls out (and 1.5, and 1.6, and 2.0, etc) I'm concerned that my car will never get those higher versions because of how slow they have been to roll out these newer versions to older Mach-e and Lightning owners. Also the pricing model is atrocious. $800 a year for Highway Driving Assist is Highway Robbery. I get that they want to fund continuous development, but that is still outrageous and updates are not frequent enough currently for the funds to have been properly allocated. I have other Pros and Cons but wanted to address this point you made in the video. Thanks for all the help and content over the years.
Have a 2023 premium lfp, Is there a secret to using the Tesla superchargers and the adaptor? I’ve tried a few times, couple of try’s, plug and charge gave fault, and tried the Tesla app just timed out at the hand shake. Any recommend way of using Tesla.
@MachE_VLOG
Ай бұрын
Which adapter are you using?
Charging at fast chargers has been ridiculous! I've waited 45 minutes or more. Definitely don't recommend if you can't charge at home. The Tesla adapter is great, but I registered for mine day 1. It's not coming until August! I gave up and bought one and it's made a huge difference. The exception is that now I have to HOG 2 spaces at busy Tesla stations so I'll only charge there if they aren't busy or I find a stall that allows me to charge without taking up multiple spaces.

You forgot the issue that some of us have with our Mach-E. That is the wind noise coming from the side mirrors. The car is not quiet. Most new car you bragg about how quiet it is, but my Mach-E they say what's that noise? Or is you window all the way up.
When I saw that you guys are going to tone down the amount of content, I was worried 😊
I think those that are considering buying an EV should be mindful of Tesla's recent progress on FSD, which is not Autopilot, before choosing a non-Tesla EV brand. It makes Bluecruise (and Autopilot) seem like horse and carriage.

Heh heh. Well… 3 years isn't actually "long term." I owned my first two EVs for 6 years each, and sure hope to drive my current EV longer than that! I do find it curious that consumers obsess about "costs" and "savings" with an EV. Me? I obsess about NOT having a tailpipe, and how many greenhouse gases I've saved to date. So far, thanks to my rooftop solar, I've saved 175,718 lbs. As for dollars and sense, I've saved $20,927 by not driving on gasoline. I'm just glad YOU now have the adapter and software to also use Superchargers. I dunno if I'll ever have that now, given E'loon's clueless petulance.

You're definitely a long time EV owner! I'd say 3 years is long term for the Mach-E since it's the lifetime of the Mach-E. But we both typically keep our vehicles longer than 10 years, so hopefully we get many more happy years with this ride😃 I totally get why many consumers focus on cost and savings. EV's are expensive. Hell cars are expensive! And many may not have the money to justify such a purchase without factoring in cost savings. It would be nice if everyone could just switch to EV for the environmental benefits but for many I believe it will need to make financial sense first and foremost.
