    Hello Tayllor! I have a 18 moth year old husky and one of the most annoying habit my dog have is he does not respond well with treats and clicker as soon as he gets on a leash and out for a walk, he responds great when indoors but not outdoor activity. Just got my e-collar today hopefully this would help so that I may be able to walk my dog with out a leash. would love to get some pointers as well and thank you!

    I need help with the No Pull command..It works great EXCEPT when we first go out..He needs to pee first and I have challenges with holding him back and using the No Pull rule. I’m 82, use a cane, he’s 6 years old, 32 lbs. Any tips for me? Thanks, Lorraine..P.S. Where can I get a pouch to hold treats? I’m impressed with the positive reward method.

    My dog gets into garbage OUTSIDE. Garbage is from college kids, people passing by, and lazy neighbors.. I have the first sound on the e-collar. Last night didn’t work. What do you suggest?

    I have a leash reactive dog. She is very territorial and I would like to use my e collar to stop the growling and jumping into the leash when she sees dogs in the neighborhood. So I want to stop the behavior and communicate with her. I bought and collar with vibratos only, shock collars are forbidden in Germany. The collar can vibrate and vibrate stronger including a beep sound. I am confused which one I should use to stop dog reactivity. The vibration only or the one with the beep included? My second question is can I also use this color to communicate with her when she’s running off to chase after rabbits or other animals? Or can I only use it for reactivity and not for recall because that would confuse the dog?

  • @INVIROX

    @INVIROX

    6 ай бұрын

    Hi! Leash Reactivity: Vibration vs. Beep- In the context of leash reactivity, both vibration and beep can be used effectively. However, the choice between the two depends on your dog's individual response. Some dogs might be more responsive to a strong vibration, while others might be more influenced by a beep sound. You may want to experiment with both to see which one your dog responds to better. Chasing Behavior (Recall): Using the E-Collar for Recall: While e-collars can be used for recall training, it's crucial to ensure that the dog associates the stimulation with the desired behavior. Start with low levels of stimulation or vibration during recall training. Use positive reinforcement, such as treats or praise, when your dog responds correctly. The goal is for the dog to understand that coming back to you results in positive outcomes. To prevent confusion, make sure that the training sessions for reactivity and recall are distinct. You can use different cues or commands for each behavior. For example, a specific command for recall and another for calming down during reactivity. Consistency is key to preventing confusion. If you're unsure about how to use the e-collar for training, consider seeking guidance from a professional dog trainer. They can provide personalized advice based on your dog's behavior and your specific training goals. Positive Reinforcement: Always pair the use of the e-collar with positive reinforcement. This helps your dog associate the stimulation or vibration with a positive outcome. Gradual Introductions: Introduce the e-collar gradually and at low levels. Allow your dog to get accustomed to the sensations before using it in challenging situations. Monitor Stress Levels: Pay attention to your dog's stress levels. If you observe signs of fear or anxiety, adjust the training approach and seek professional advice if needed. Remember, the goal of training is to build a positive and trusting relationship with your dog. If you have concerns or are unsure about using an e-collar, consult with a professional dog trainer who can provide guidance tailored to your specific situation. So do you shock them when they do something bad or good? I’m confused

  • @INVIROX

    @INVIROX

    7 ай бұрын

    Hi @glizzyful191 The goal is typically to use the e-collar as a tool for training and not as a punishment device. The intention is not to shock the dog for doing something bad or good but rather to condition them to associate specific commands or behaviors with the sensation provided by the e-collar. In positive reinforcement training with e-collars, the device can emit a mild static stimulation, vibration, or sound. The timing of the stimulation is crucial-it should coincide with the dog's behavior, helping them understand which actions are desirable and which are not. When the dog exhibits an unwanted behavior, the e-collar can be used to interrupt that behavior, providing a cue for the dog to stop and redirect their attention. Conversely, when the dog responds correctly to a command or exhibits a desired behavior, the e-collar can be used to reinforce that positive behavior through praise or rewards. It's important to note that using an e-collar should always be done with care, following proper training protocols, and under the guidance of a professional dog trainer if needed. The emphasis should be on creating a positive association with the e-collar and its stimulation, rather than causing fear or distress in the dog.

    Hi Rigo Thank you so much for sharing your experience, It sounds like you have a high-energy dog who generally responds well to the e-collar, but there are certain situations where he becomes so focused or distracted that he no longer responds to the stimulation, even at high settings. Here are a few suggestions to address this issue: Increase Distraction Level Gradually: Start by practicing in controlled environments with minimal distractions, gradually increasing the level of distraction as your dog becomes more reliable with the e-collar. This will help him build up his responsiveness to the collar in the presence of distractions. Reinforce Recall Command: Work specifically on reinforcing your dog's recall command when he is focused on something or distracted. Start in a controlled environment and gradually increase the level of distraction. Use high-value treats or rewards to motivate your dog to come back to you when called, even when he's fixated on something else. Seek Professional Help: Consider consulting with a professional dog trainer who has experience with e-collar training. They can assess your dog behavior and provide personalized guidance to help you address the specific challenges you're facing. Evaluate E-collar Fit and Settings: Ensure that the e-collar is properly fitted and adjusted to your Doberman's neck size. Make sure the contact points are making good contact with his skin. If you're already using e-collar, you may need to consider alternative e-collar models with higher stimulation levels and variety of training modes and levels such as INVIROX E-collars offers. Good luck! INVIROX Team

    I hope you found a way to train your Belgian. We just adopted a young dog that may have Belgian as part of his breed. Our veterinarian told us that they're such high energy dogs they need to be constantly busy working. This is why they make good police dogs search and rescue. Everything we have tried to train him with so far clickers, Sonic sound, will work for a day or two and then it doesn't work anymore. I've had many dogs in my life but never one that is this high-energy and easily distracted. We're going to try a vibration collar now. But past experience has showed us that he becomes used to the training aid and we're left wondering what else we can do. I would love to hear an update about your Belgian and what worked for training

    I tried the beep method to get my dog's attention, however because the beep is on the collar and not in my remote, she was confused and didn't get it. Perhaps the beep sound should be on the handheld remote so the audible tone is connected to the person that you want the dog's attention to be directed to!

    Hi! Thank you so much for replying to our video! Basically, if your dog is familiar with an e collar we would recommend using the vibration as a correction for that unwanted behavior. A slight non-comfort in the very moment your dog is exhibiting the chewing will help him better understand the condition of - Chewing = Not comfortable -> Lets stop this behavior. • @INVIROX

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi Kimberly! Thank you so much for replying to us. The beginning of work will always be with a long leash, you can start with a 5, 10 or 15 meter leash. We will start work in a stimulus-free environment and work with more frequent snack rewards - can also be a toy. The dog must have a suitable source of reward. It's different for every dog. We will ask the dog to perform a certain command for example "sit" and we will reward him, we will repeat the action several times after that we will release him from the command and continue to repeat the command after the command is strong enough in an environment without stimuli we will move on to work with him on the same command in an environment with stimuli The same is done with the dog for each new command we want to teach Attach a link to the video of the recall: kzread.info/dash/bejne/eKahmLispsnVpto.html Hope it helps
