In this video I discuss the Grimmspeed exhaust valve simulator plugs for the Shelby GT350 and GT350Rs. A buddy of mine installed them on his GT350R and after driving it I knew I had to get a couple for my car. I'd highly recommend them if you never find yourself closing your valves. No more toggling the valves open on start up, having a quiet 6th gear, or a quiet rev-match from 6th to 5th. The way it should've been honestly. Thanks for watching!

Finally a mod that allows my Shelby to utilize the 6th gear. Only went 5 gears so far, disliked the mute in the 6th so never used it. Lol

That sounds good! I picked up a factory 18 exhaust for my 16 GT to eventually try it out, I just need to figure out how to make it open and close. I still need the quiet mode, as my wife thinks it's too loud even now with the stock exhaust!

Beautiful. I have a supercharged 2016 GT, I was able to buy the complete OEM exhaust from a GT350 for dirt cheap, shortly after the exhaust actuators and built my own wiring harness to make them open/close through a switch. They work like a dream. My question is, on the valve switch in the GT350's, I believe you have to move the toggle switch up to open the valves, but do you move the switch back downward to close them? I am curious how the OEM switch works so that I can why are my toggle switch in a similar manner.

You do know there's a fuse in the fusebox under the hood for the actuve exhaust? Start the car. Open the valves. Pull the fuse with the car running. Always open. No disconnecting stuff or spending $100.

Does buying an aftermarket exhaust take the valves out?

The closed valves on start are the most annoying thing on this car.

Can’t you just pull the fuse to do the same thing?

Fixing things that are not broken! Sixth gear? I have never used sixth gear beyond saving gas! Too each his own I guess.
