I was thinking about getting handy for the head studies, but the awkward lighting features you talk about are making me have second thoughts. I am at first going to just use one light source. Would you still recommend it? It's only three dollars U.S. and that is cheap. So, it sounds pretty good.

Personally, I don't think it's the best app for head models, but if cost is an issue it's got enough decent enough quality head models to practice with. For hands it's great however. The lighting features are not the best or the most intuitive, but you do get the hang of it, awkward as it is. If you're looking for another head model app, I just released another video review on another app called 'Head Study'. It's a little pricier than Handy Art Tool, but the quality of the head sculpts are very good.
