Hi Ryan! My department saw an opportunity to increase overall knowledge by letting its employees shadow each other - we all agreed so willingness to help is not a problem. Would you have any tips for shadowing a peer from a different position? Btw, great series about the topic, already wrote down some insights!

Thank you for the kind words, Andre! Anytime you’re shadowing within an organization, the key is to maintain a line of respect and open communication about what to expect. Some things are meant to be confidential to that particular employee, of which needs to be understood by the person shadowing. On the other hand, it should help foster new ideas and strengthen the organization. Keep me posted on how it goes!

I was curious, is job shadowing something worth looking into in larger businesses, or does it primarily shine in smaller local businesses?

It absolutely is for both large and small businesses. There may be more red tape/hoops to jump through to shadow in a larger corporation but the smart ones keep the door open for students/new grads to shadow.
i want to start job shadowing but i'm really nervous and wondering if it's worth it. any tips/advice?

It's worth it! Reach out to local businesses that are hiring and ask if you can shadow at the business before accepting the job. You got this!
