the first one about depression- i have really horrible parents and for once they were being alright... i was so grateful and my ramadan was going so well. on the second week of ramadan things went really bad and i fell into a depression. i had no schedule. i was waking up around 3pm and lying in bed crying the whole day, getting up only to pray my fard salahs. i barely recited. i was actually doing a khatm but because of my depression i was falling back, even though at first i was doing so good and feeling so proud of myself for the connection i built with Allah, only to have it ruined. i cant describe the pain and anguish you feel, to have something you worked so hard for fall away, just because of your parents, who then claim that they 'love' and 'know whats best' for you. however, after a few days staying at my sisters alhamdulillah ive recovered and am now healing. My parents are still ignorant oppressive jerks but since childhood ive learnt to just ingore them and their abuse and live my life and build my connection with allah no matter what, because at the end of the day its going to be me and allah, not me and my parents. and at the end of the day, Allah is the judge and he will punish the oppressors justly.

I have a abusive mom too my father passed away when I was 8 idk how he'd be She always abuses me and refuses to acknowledge the fact that she's abusing me if I ask for my siblings help she says I'm trying to play a victim and bad mouth about her and again the abusive saga continues may Allah protect us and guide them

Don’t just drop a “✌️” after such a comment. Nowadays the western media normalizes depression, but it’s and it should be different for us. Making jokes about it just makes you think it’s ok to be depressed. But how long it’s gonna go? You have to put a stop to it. Depression is a mental illness. Means: it has causes (the reason), symptoms (being depressed, feeling down), and a treatment too. I know people dramatized depression a lot, so it feels like depression in inevitable, and sometime it’s ok to have it. Someone’s even romanticizing it. But when you think about it in the concrete way, it’s merely an illness, and illnesses have treatments. The honest truth it, maybe you are doing something wrong. Allah gives depression to some people because sometimes they need to get out of many bad things they are doing to themselves. Read “Secrets of Divine love”, it’s an eye opening book. Then follow the teachings of the prophet, get informed about them. It’s like magic, you get better in a month. I’ve been there, so I understand it could take you a lot of time, and how hard it is. But the sooner, the better, struggle to make for the blessings allah wants to give you. Nothing helped me more then Allah’s words. And inshallah, it’ll help you too.

They say that the Arabs in the pre-Islamic era were infanticide. Personally, I do not believe this saying for many logical reasons. But what I believe is what I see with my own eyes now. They performed the women intellectually, culturally, and legally. They shrouded them in black alive, muffled their voice with their religious interpretations, so that some of them became approving of this and even defending it. This is the same valley. Where is the freedom of women? Where are her civil rights when she is beaten? Where are her rights in a society dominated by men? Where is the woman's voice in decision-making? Where is the right of women to determine their future and express their ideas? Where are the rights of women who are divorced and stripped of their rights? You all have to face the truth, when society does not consider women equal to men, it is a paralyzed society.

Thank you. I was born into a Christian family, but am moving toward Islam, but I was concerned about my family who are not open to Islam. And my father, who passed seven years ago, but was a godly man who strove hard for knowledge even though reading was very difficult for him. This post comforted me.
