Let's hope Eric is happy to stick around with "the old dudes " for a lot longer. Long live NMB!!

I often think the same thing! Here’s to hoping for many more albums from the greatest band currently making music.
It's a great great thing that Neal has found Eric. I love his voice and music.

I agree. Eric's voice is a tremendous addition--not to mention his guitar-playing.
Eric is so talented and yet so humble.
Neal is a humble genius. Clearly he's a mentor to such a great musician like Eric.
Neal and Eric are great musicians and wonderful human beings.
Two of the most talented musicians .....ever. And super nice guys, too.
Musicians having Coffee and talking about Stuff is such a nice Podcast. Love it! Neal, please have a Coffee with Michael W. Smith. That would be great. 👌 Greetings from Germany.
Awesome! Worked my 12 hour shift and came straight home to listen! Made coffee first of course...lol
Absolutely great guys and superb musicians
Eric is a monster. What a rare talent.
I dig the track "Do it all again". I like what Eric said about the latest album, its a very different one than the last few...which were masterpieces BTW. I can't get over how beautiful some of the songs are. Broken Sky/Long Day is just SO strong. I've never heard anything quite like it. I still can't figure out how Eric held it together while singing those songs. 'A love the never dies', too. Emotional to the max, spirit stirring. Romans 8:28

true that, I offten listen to those 2 songs (broken sky, a love that never dies) before going to bed... always puts tears on my eyes... how much more beautiful music can ever be... absolutely devastating! (in a good way)
The mornings Mouth is filled with pure Gold is an old German saying. Morgenstund hat Gold im Mund.
You guys are legends. Absolutely insane.
I recently went back to rewatch the NMB auditions series. The second Eric began to play it was obvious what a huge talent and genius he was. He walked into the room and a band was born.
For the record, I too would like to be gifted a Moog Voyager. Anyone? Bueller?
This is as good as any of Neal's making of videos. As a amateur composer, I find this stuff very interesting. It is amazing how fast they can turn out new material.
By the way, "Innocence & Danger" are the two basic themes of poetry books by William Blake ("The Lamb," "The Tyger"). One book was called "Songs of Innocence" and the other was "Songs of Experience" and they each dealt with the themes of childlike innocence and how we grow darker with more experience.
Such incredibly humble attitudes, especially with guys who have been blessed with seemingly unlimited skills/gifts! What a joy and encouragement we receive through your music! Really enjoying the podcasts, and getting to hear how your amazing recordings come about. Getting to learn some personal insights is icing on the cake. Eric's level of playing and vocals are so far beyond his years - most artists never come close to what he can do. And when you consider the 5 masters of music that God put together to make up the NMB, I can only hope and pray you continue until the Lord's return!
love the record guys, one of my favorites of the year. Had me cracking up talking about the ad libs and placeholders in the scratch tracks, it's cool to hear about the writing process!
Innocence and Danger is a masterpiece. You guys have set the bar high!
Love the new album ❤️👍
"The morning's mouth is filled with pure gold" was so weird to hear from your mouth...I immediately knew what it meaned. It's indeed Dutch for "morgenstond heeft goud in de mond". It means that you better get up early, because then you have the entire day to get the maximum out of it. Cool interview by the way! You guys are so incredible good musicians and as a guitar player I adore the work of Eric Gillette. To me he's is one of my favorites! He has incredible skills on almost all instruments and beside that has a great voice.
Wow..great interview as always..love it!
Good to know that while one might be the smallest of the "Russian dolls", one's not the bottom of the barrel. :)) Great conversation! Always much to enjoy, appreciate, and learn from in these "coffee & talk" sessions. Love this NMB line up!!
Eric Gillette is my new guitar hero...
What a joy to listen to these guys.
when Eric mentioned the 2-hour naps in the middle of the night, I laughed and cried at the same time 😂 I have baby twins

I laughed also. Luckily my twin boys are 22 now. My brother has 4 year old twin girls and he went through that faze a few years ago. I use to tell people you get “broken sleep.” Lol
Such a pleasure to see these guys engaging in a such vulnerable honesty with humility. NMB has toppled other bands that were on my pedestal - and that’s not just because of their music but their attitude and their lyrics - the words that are chosen for their songs do have deep meaning and make sense as well. It is a big turn off for me to hear a song that speaks about nonsensical things.
Looking forward to Morsefest next week!!!
Eric's dog is too cute :) - great conversation!
Neal as the utility guy for YES-2. Oh my.
Morsefest was great as always! Had no idea Neal was almost part of YES ARW, that could have been so cool, great tour though, and I'm glad that it didn't keep Neal from his own projects though.
Wait, did they already release a "The Making of Innocence and Danger" video? Where can I find it???
What's the name of the track that fades out at the end of this whole video? Can't place it!
Great podcast!! You guys need to wipe your camera lenses!!! I'm guessing dust/fingerprints etc. The pictures are hazy ;-)
What’s the show eric is scoring? I cannot grasp what they’re talking about, or is it not disclosed in the interview?

A documentary about a high school football team called "Texas 6".
Don't worry about sync issues gents. We fans put it down to bad video editing. Lol.
Dirtiest thing Neal Morse has ever said: "I love having the big knobs!"
Eric pretends to be all “nicey-nice” and humble, but he’s actually an evil superhero that makes us all look like morons- barely capable of feeding ourselves. He must be stopped.
Second dirtiest thing Neal Morse ever said: "All four guys had hands on their parts."
