Brian plays three different guitars in this song he starts out with his acoustic, then the Telecaster(Freddie wanted this for the authentic sound of the Elvis period) then the Red Special. I love this tune. Freddie's tribute to Elvis and it is a banger! Freddie wrote this song in 10 minutes while taking a bath.

I wonder if there was ever an occasion in which he broke a string on the original BHM and had to switch to the spare (the Birch, the V or the Guild, depending on the era), because that'd make it *four* guitars for just one song.

Freddy mercury Elvis fan always...Queen's greatest musical influence was Elvis Presley the King of Music. Elvis is the greatest singer of all time,,gospel,,,rock,,country,,,rythm and blues,,soul,,,blues,,,opera,,bluegrass,,,rockabilly,,,pop.... Any musical genre dominated like no one else in history, so Elvis is the greatest influence of great artists like Freddy mercury,,,michael jackson,,,the beatles,,,jimmy hendrix,,jim morrison,,elton john,,,bruce springsteen... etc Freddy mercury rented the plane lisa marie (Elvis's avion boing 707) in 1982 for his tour and asked lisa marie presley for a handkerchief from Elvis, his idol and always wore on his tours as a lucky charm and for his love for the King, Elvis.

One of Freddies their first us no 1 released oct 79 off their 1980 album the game their first us no 1 album Then john had their second us no 1 off the same album with another one bites the dust He was in the bath when the song came to him Their roadie ratty said he rushed out the bath wrapped in a towel telling him to get his guitar Sat on the couche played it through,as soon as he was happy he told ratty to ring mack and get the studio ready Get roger and john but to be quick before Brian got back! They had pretty much finished when Brian turned up He always did his guitar seperatly But Freddie had to get mack to persuade him to use a telecaster? And not his red special Brian admitted he just wanted to use his he did compromise! But as you can see everything was used!

John this is Laura Freddie Mercury and queen was more towards my teenage daughters are right but I still like music so I like Queen course you know there's no one like the king it is very good friend Tom Jones who I love and my favorite two groups of all time or the Beatles and the Bee Gees I'm still looking for a song from The Bee Gees I buried the gorgeous one of the bunch called tragedy and I'd like a song from Tom Jones called seesaw that's seesaw when it comes to the Beatles anything will do but when it comes to the King still waiting on 20 days and 20 nights and anything that's a part of you. Of course I listen to your your songs on my phone because I still haven't been able to get a CD like I told you eventually couple months or so I'll have to get a new phone and I will get them to set me up an email right then and there AKA Elvis Junkie

Love the song, really nice reaction by you (as always), and Freddie did write it “in less than 10 minutes - in the bathtub” according to him. We always talk about Freddie’s incredible talents, musically and as a front man, but personally I think his greatest gift was his Personality! He moved us - he made us laugh, he made us cry, took us to places we’d never been - most of all he made us happy. Most of his fans would have followed him to hell!
