Yep - Akane of Band-Maid is Animal from Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem and agree: Junna is Tas. She's scary. People sometimes suggest that this or that amazing musician must be an alien. I half believe this is true in Junna's case.

She's a speeding tornado of flying drumsticks and hair. I love her style, power, and skill.

Anybody that ever dislikes Junna might as well dislike oxygen. This young lady needs to be considered as One of the best drummers in the World and that may be understating it. What can't she cover? Love the energy, joy, precision and beauty!

Her memory and coordination is really beyond belief.

the 400 dislikes are freaks in the comments section commenting on how she is 'stereotyping' herself - talking about how she dresses, has pigtails, and such... it's flat out jealous resentment. She has that lethal "cute badass" look and absolutely kills it! Screw the haters - it is like watching pure joy and badassery. I wish I was able to go see a live performance! :)

Junna is fantastic. Tho i wish people would stop saying she was in the group "Trident". She was not. Trident did not exist until AFTER Junna left the band known then as Girls Rock Band Kakumei. That band consisted of Junna on drums, Serina on bass and Asaka on guitar / vocals. The group reformed as Trident (keeping Serina and Asaka) and adding Nagisa on drums. And what is amazing is that Nagisa seems to have the same style and flair as Junna.

Like a lot of people, I thought the drumming might fall off in that project with the transition. Nagisa proved me wrong. Two terrific drummers...

I can watch and listen to her cover vids like this one all day long, but wonder why she hasn't re-attached herself to a band. She was a great complement to Trident.

Being a drummer on KZread working your own schedule for the shear enjoyment of it is a lot different than tying yourself to a band/production company/ record label. It could be she just enjoys the freedom of being herself.

She left the band just as Covid was kicking in. The last year-and-a-half has probably been a bad time to join or form a band. And she could not travel overseas to try her luck there. Probably just bad timing.

She reminds me of Vinny Paul. She has that powerful style and those kicks sound as though they'll beat your door down

Whoa whoa whoa whoa! Hold the flippin' phone! Give me a moment . . . I'm reeling here. I feel as though I've been accosted, my ears and mind were just, uh, forcibly molested, but I like it, I like it! Junna. I need to look deeper into this. As soon as she started, her footwork immediately made me think of Akane Hirose of Band-Maid. Wave, you've done peeled open another can whoop a$$ musicianship. And just dumped it out in a heaping pile for us to jump into. I need to go recover for a bit, then I've got some learnin' to do. Thanks!

@@WavePotter Yeah, I heard the Lovebites band members have healthy routines (the Lovebites fans can correct me on that, if I'm wrong--LOL!). Lovebites Drummer Haruna has some insane kickdrum endurance. I assume Yoyoka has built up her endurance from drumming at such a young age. Maybe Junna, who also started young, just built endurance from exoerience. I'm curious, too. Anyhow, Thanks for the reply, Wave. Keep rockin' and reactin!

Yet another insanely-skillled Japanese female drummer... this is just amazing. Let's see, there's: - 1. Sano Hana 2. Akane Hirose 3. Junna 4. Senri Kawaguchi 5. Tamu Murata 6. Kanade Sato 7. Yoyoka Soma (This is arranged in alphabetical order of their surnames, and not in any form of rank, so chill on why I put Yoyoka at number 7. :p) I suppose I could consider adding upcoming Kii to this list, but I think we can wait just a little bit more for her case. Hey people, help me add more famous Japanese female drummers to this list.... let's see how many of them there really are....

I don't know anything about drumming really, but I prefer Junna's version to the original, whatever the differences are. The drums more in front of the other instruments or something? Either way, I was actually a bit disappointed when I listened to the original after watching Junna. I thought I would be able to see her in front of me and enjoy it even if she wasn't drumming, but something was different and... not as good! I guess it also has to do with those "fills"? Anyway... great reaction! It's cool watching someone REALLY appreciate what is going on.

Hey I used to think the exact same thing about reaction videos. I accidentally stumbled into reaction videos after making a video watching kid drummers. But now I realize how much fanbases and artists value them. Reactors are fans of music who use their voice to spread the word about the artists they love. That’s how fanbases grow. By existing fans telling more people about the band and fellow fans feeding of each other’s love and passion for the music. That’s organic growth and many bands and artists appreciate it.
