You just witnessed the greatest vocalist of all time. He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 13 different languages, plays multiple musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in music. He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 6-8 octave range (depending on who you ask) has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend “Sinful Passion “ 2018 and then "Stranger" 2021. Believe it or not, he’s only gotten better. Each performance will leave you stunned.

Welcome to the world of the most amazing singer ever. This was in 2017 and today he is the Best Singer in the World. This performance was when he became famous overnight and shut down the Chinese internet, first time I ever heard of that happening, the next day he had to have bodyguards every where he went. Now he is a world legend. Two skaters in the current Olympics skated to two different songs by DIMASH.

You will be surprised by each of his songs. In this video Dimash is 22, now he is 27. Thank you for your reaction!

F#1 to D8 (off the piano!) is, I think, generally accepted to be his range (as of 2021) although he can growl a little lower. SOS doesn’t extend to either end, spanning around 4 octaves. He downplays this aspect of his singing, being far more concerned with conveying the story and emotion in a song. His French improved a lot by the time of his next landmark performance of SOS, at the Slavic Bazaar in 2018. He also tweaked the performance slightly. In 2021 he delivered a different performance of it again at his online concert, and this has become my favourite. He is probably the most technically able vocalist to have ever lived, with amazing control in every register and an astonishing ability to mask the transitions. He was born into a highly musical family and has lived for music since he was a toddler, starting his formal training at the age of five. He plays several instruments, composes, sings in a dozen languages, speaks Russian fluently as well as his native Kazakh, has decent English and some Mandarin, and is currently studying for his doctorate in musicology. He also does martial arts, swims to build lung capacity and breath control, has good soccer skills, and is kind, humble and generous. Also tall…

After watching a few recent first time reactions to Dimash I'm afraid to say I wasn't expecting much but how pleasantly surprised was I by your reaction. Very knowledgeable and informed. In fact one of the best first reactions I have seen in a long time. Dimash has a huge back catalogue and you will not be disappointed in whichever one you choose.

Dimash gives no respite. Each song is different. He does it over and over again, he's catching you every time. Check it out by yourself. Dimash is God level. Period.

It was definitely hard to follow Dimash, but these competitors were all professional singers invited to participate, so they shouldn't have been quite as shaken by his talent as teen competitors. He was the youngest one on the show. He became friends with several of the singers on the show. One he even called Papa Lin for taking him under his wing. The language barrier was a challenge.

His range used to be six octaves, but is now seven and three semitones and is still expanding. This was his big breakthrough in China, where he competed for four (I believe) months against other professional, established singers. I think we all have our definitive or favorite renditions. For example, SOS Slavic Bazaar is not the one for me by far. The same goes for Unforgettable Day Gakku. I much prefer those versions in the Digital show, The Singer and many other renditions. My favorite Swans are from Kyiv, etc. etc. . I think we can write those are the versions we personally prefer, but certainly not the ultimate versions because everybody prefers other things.

👉 This was a historic moment and this is the song of the songs for Dimash and us, his Dears (This is what Dimash calls us fans.) This song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' 1978, well known in French-speaking countries) and is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight. The best comment from a Dear under this video: „If you are having a bad day, remember, someone had to sing after him.“ 🤣 In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old) and the first non-Chinese. Foreign participants were actually forbidden until then. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home. Despite Dimash's planned brief presence, his name was intended to be symbolic and understandable to the public. Dimash was given the Chinese name Dimashi and the 3 syllables were assigned Chinese hydroglyphs: Di - achievement Ma - precious stone Shi - dream, wish. This competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood in front of his door. The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to KZread ... and so we became Dimash's Dears. The Singer , it was a Chinese show for highly respected singers to compete, Dimash was the only non Chinese singer invited because the producer saw him perform for the Chinese and Kazakh presidents and was very impressed. He is from Kazakhstan and was the youngest ever competitor in 2017 at only 22 years old. This was his first performance on the show and the audience went wild for him. When the show was broadcast on tv he had to have bodyguards for the first time in his life as he had become a superstar overnight in China. He is now a world class artist, still just turned 27 on the 24th of May but touring the world to sell out arenas with his solo concerts, (on hold until next year due to covid-19) he also performs in concerts with the famous Russian composer Igor Krutoy, is constantly collecting awards, attends many prestigious red carpet events, film festivals and even models for lots of high end fashion houses. He is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and now has finished his master degree in music composition. He is about to start his doctorate in Musicology.He has been having singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He is a multi instrumentalist, more than 8 instruments and also sings in 12 different languages and has a range of over 6 octaves from a low bass A2 to a high soprano, plus a whistle register with his highest note so far being a 5 second D8 with vibrato. He is widely recognized as the best vocalist in the world. He speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is studying English and Mandarin and has conversational skills in both but not quite fluent yet. He is kind, humble, generous and modest, very elegant and very tall, Dimash is 6ft 3, 1/4. Yes, Dimash sings in multiple languages. Many of them only learnt phonetically initially - but due to his perfect ear his pronunciation is near perfect enough to fool native speakers into assuming he has the spoken skills as well. However, he does work hard to expand his spoken language skills as well. Dimash is also a multi-instrumentalist. Also... this performance was 5 years ago. His skills and vocal range / control have further developed since. Enjoy!

Just go to his official KZread channel Dimash Qudaibergen and watch from this point forward this was his first performance on the Chinese show "Singer" from 2017 he was 22 years old. He is now 27 and has done so many things since. He is a world renowned vocalist. You cannot call Dimash just a singer. You will see. Just watch everything he has done. He is an exceptional talent! You'll like the New Wave "trilogy" - Stranger, Fly Away and Ave Maria. I think the MV of Across Endless Dimensions would be good for you as well. Dimash sings in 12 languages and his French was at first a little mispronounced but in later versions of S.O.S. like the 2021 digital concert version is much improved. He speaks Kasch and Russian fluently and is learning Mandarin and English.

Apparently you have some connection to the Japanese. If so you really should react to Dimash singing Ikanaide. It was for the Tokyo Jazz Festival but because of Covid he had to perform in the studio. If you do react to it you will see how he sings from his soul to yours. He sings in perfect Japanese although he doesn’t speak the language. Loved your reaction. 🎶🎶🎶

Dimash is amazing! There us so much more to him. He has a 7 octave range & sings everything from Opera to pop, Kazakh folk music & even raps and everything he does is outstanding. Check out Stranger, Olympico & then something different the mv of Be With Me & another mv of Golden then there's Ikanaide, in Japanese. He sings in 13 different languages too. He transitions from one octave to another so easily which is so hard to do but he makes it look so easy. I hope you check out more of him because he really is so talented.
