Im 52 years old..I have listened to thousands of singers...I have entertainers I prefer over Dimash due to flavor but he is so good that he can force you to listen to styles of music you don't even care for...Im not a Country music fan but I would tune in if he was singing it🤣🤣 Dimash is hands down the best vocalist on the planet..past..present and future...this is 5 years ago...He is better now....I have yet to hear him even wobble a note live...He is perfect everytime...I actually want to witness a slight falter to prove he is human🤣....I suggest you react to Ogni Pietra 2021 or Stranger...Those 2 songs along with numerous others will blow you away more than this one...He is phenomenal!

It’s from the Show The Singer and this was from 2017 Dimash was born May 24 1994. He is 6”3’. He was 22 at the time this show he is 27 now. He sings in 13 languages but speaks Russian and Kazakh is learning English and Mandarin.Dimash is a very shy and humble person who loves his family, Country ( Kazakhstan) and hid fans which he calls his Dears.He was invited to the Singer as a wild card by the producer only thinking he would last two rounds. Dimash took second place only because it was against their rules for a foreigner to win. They changed that rule the following year. Dimash was the first to sing on the show. No body knew about him not even his competitors ( the people you seen at the end being surprised). After he sang this song and the next day he went to go outside they told him that he couldn’t go without his bodyguards! Dimash had gotten over 600 million likes on the Chinese KZread. He was an overnight star! Looking forward to more Dimash most people continue on with the Singer shows before watching his newer stuff which is ok do what ever you want. A few things you must know it is totally ok to pause when you are talking just rewind a little, and always watch until the end don’t just stop when he finishes singing because he talks always thanks the people who have helped him.See you soon.

Imagine you're the next contestant, waiting backstage, and realizing you have to follow THAT?!?!?! 😆 😆 😆

This is the first performance in a contest in China and they did not know what to expect. This was a contest for professional singers and he was not well known and a wild card that wasn't expected to last for more than 3 songs. But he shocked everyone and the Chinese internet was shut down from over 600 million getting online to learn more about him. Next day he awoke to find bodyguards assigned to him. He became a star with one performance and and has not slowed down in his assent to become a legend. He had many sell-out concerts( one this month in Dubai) and his concert in NYC was a big event and his first in USA. He is singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, actor, dancer, fashion model, and in textbooks in several countries in Europe, Asia and Russia, as a role model for students. He is also a humanitarian, and gives of himself to others. he sounds too good to be true, but he is; he has over 170 performances that are all worth watching.

For reference, Mike Patton's documented range is 6 octaves, which is also exceptional. But, as Dimash says, it's not about how many octaves he has, a secret he says he won't reveal, but rather that he should sing well. In many of his songs Dimash will only use 2 or 3 octaves and just move listeners to tears with the beauty of his voice. No, I wouldn't expect he would have to sing a song with little to no range amazingly well. It's kinda like a Mic Drop thing, like "Oh, found him, you can stop all the singing competitions, we are taking him back to our planet." and a space ship full of cats spirits him away. @@CaptainFaceBeard In fact, after Dimash's participation in Singer 2017, he became so well known that even here in little Denmark where I am from, our major newspapers wrote that all future singing talent shows around the world should be canceled because no one would ever be able to surpass Dimash talent. So far, the newspapers have been right in this statement.

Dimash was the first singer on the first episode of the show. He WOWED everyone with this performance. He became an overnight sensation and blew up in China and on KZread! I discovered him just a week later when he covered Vitas' song Opera 2. 😂 All of those contestants backstage are professional singers/performers. The Singer is a show for only established artists and Dimash was invited as a Wild Card, because he was just starting his career in Kazakhstan. He was the first foreigner invited to participate and the youngest at the time. ❤ And they made the mistake of having him go first! 😂🤣

I think i remember that it wasn't blast overnight in KZread, But in Weibo. Weibo is kind of youtube version in China. We can't access Weibo easily, cause i guess it's dedicated for people in China. And as long as i know, China have their own version of everything. Because they have huge population, with their own culture, own language and own alphabet. Forgive me for my bad english. English is my 5th languages.

@@retno.s.wibowo Right. Weibo is like their facebook. They have other apps for music and stuff. Maybe not overnight on youtube but it was definitely on youtube the same week. I found him just the following week when he covered Opera 2.

i have followed this young artist since 2017 and never look back!

Yes. Dimash will make you believe you are in heaven because he really sounds like the most beautiful angel.

His parents are adorable, too, but they weren't the couple you saw in the backroom. The woman was one of his competitors, and the man was her coach through the process.

Welcome to DImash. This was 2017. He has practiced a lot since then and has only gotten better. He did this song again in 2021 on his official You Tube during a digital concert he did which raised money to purchase equipment for an oncology center in his home country of Kazakhstan. It is stunning and if you want angel, do a version of Ava Maria, written just for him by famous composer Igor Krutoy. It has no lyrics, just his voice in a vocalize. He sings in many languages including his native Kazakh, Russian, Ukrainian, Italian, English, Mandarin French, Turkish etc. He speaks fluent Kazakh of course, as well as Russian and he has worked hard and is now very good in English as well. Check out his cover of All By Myself Bastau. There is not a performance you will not be shocked at seeing. One of his very best is Sinful Passion from New Wave. It is in Russian but has English subtitles.

What did you just witness? You witnessed the beginning, five years ago, of worldwide adoration for the guy who is probably the best singer of our time. You have a lot of catching up to do but, as I'm sure others have told you, every step along the way will be amazing and spectacular. All the most important music of my music obsessed life became less important to me after my discovery of Dimash.

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), on the 7th of March 2020. When I first heard Dimash 5 years ago, I couldn't believe my ears either. I was tempted to look behind my laptop like a little kid to see if there was another singer hiding there.🤣 From that day on, not a day goes by that I don't hear Dimash. This song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' 1978, well known in French-speaking countries) and is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood in front of his door. The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". You have just witnessed the best technically trained singer in the world today. Dimash is incredible. Everything from his tone, and his phenomenal ability to switch from one register to another with such ease , and his breath control is what sets him apart from other singers. He also mixes several genres into the different songs he sings, there is opera, pop,classical, folk, jazz and he has even thrown in a little rap. Whoever produces that show really knows what they are doing. It's so much better than the competitions here in the USA.

He gained significant popularity in Kazakhstan and other post-Soviet countries in 2015 upon becoming the Grand Prix winner of Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, Belarus. He did the theme song to the last Power Rangers movie I believe in 2019 and guarantee that everything he's done on the stages of the Slavic Bazaar or at Sochi are incredible as well as all of his music videos. There are wonderful interviews with him and his parents and other family members. Dimash is a wonderful human being besides being a fantastic singer. Thank you for doing this reaction to Dimash. He was invited to this show as a wildcard competitor. This was in 2017.He started training when he was 5 yrs old. He is 27 now turning 28 in May. Check his recent videos. He has improved a lot especially his low registers.

Dimash does a great cover of Freddie Mercury’s Show Must Go On. He sings in multiple languages and he’s a multi-instrumentalist. His height is deceptive he actually stands a bit over 6 foot tall.

He knew completely no english, so his diction is pretty bad 🤷🏼‍♀️ over the years he got much better and he manages to give interviews in english and have some chats in english. Dears ( that's what he calls his fanbase) love his accent and call it Dinglish 😁😁😁 enjoy your ride on the Dimash wave and try Stranger next, if u wanna be blown away even more 😁😁😁

The only problem with doing "Stranger", which is his most recent amazing display next, is that it will make all of the in between songs less impressive by comparison. When the 14 episodes of Singer 2017 were happening we were only comparing him to other singers instead of the best he has done. In that competition he had to learn the English and Chinese songs phonetically, so his pronunciation wasn't great - but it was the 500 audience members who were voting anyway.

@@CaptainFaceBeard You might not want to spend that much time on that old competition, but you might be interested in seeing what he did with Queen's " The Show Must Go On ", "Adagio" (he won that week), "All By Myself" or "Confessa and The Diva Dance" ("The Diva Dance" is what the alien diva sings in The Fifth Element). Then many people move on to 2018's "Sinful Passion" at Sochi, where he showed more amazing skills, and his guest performance on Singer 2018 of Lionel Richie's "Hello", which he made his own.

Then there are the episodes where it is good to know about Gloria Wu's translations, so he could do both "Daybreaks" together. But I doubt if he wants to wait that long to get caught up.

The Singer , it was a Chinese show for highly respected singers to compete, Dimash was the only non Chinese singer invited because the producer saw him perform for the Chinese and Kazakh presidents and was very impressed. He is from Kazakhstan and was the youngest ever competitor in 2017 at only 22 years old. This was his first performance on the show and the audience went wild for him. When the show was broadcast on tv he had to have bodyguards for the first time in his life as he had become a superstar overnight in China. Just go to his official KZread channel Dimash Qudaibergen and watch from this point forward this was his first performance on the Chinese show "Singer" from 2017 he was 22 years old. He is now 27 and has done so many things since. He is a world renowned vocalist. You cannot call Dimash just a singer. You will see. Just watch everything he has done. He is an exceptional talent! Your life will never be the same. He has a lot of English pop songs as well such as "Fly Away" and "Be With Me". Just keep watching and reacting.

This was his 1st performance in China which resulted in worldwide recognition. He blew them away to the point that he had to have bodyguards the next day. He was just 22 years old at the time on his first time in China. A young man from Kazakhstan singing a French song to a Chinese audience. He didn't win because foreigners can't win that competition. But he did come in 2nd. 😃

He was 22 here, he’s now 27, you should hear him today! He’s absolutely amazing! Dimash is from Kazakhstan (Formerly USSR) This is a Chinese show for famous Chinese singers. Dimash was the first foreigner and the youngest ever singer to compete. He came second, mainly because it’s a state run competition and foreigners were not allowed to win in 2017. The lady who beat him said he should have won. The next year, in 2018, they changed the rules so that a foreigner could win and Jessie J from England won. Dimash did OK though, he’s extremely famous in China now and after this performance (it was downloaded 600 million times from Chinese Social Media), he woke up the next day with bodyguards outside his hotel room door. He spent 3 years in China after the competition. He won a singing competition in Belarus (Slavic Bazaar) in 2015 and that really was the start of his international career, but he was already well known in his own country of Kazakhstan. In 2021 he participated in Slavic Bazaar as a judge in the competition. His Mother is a famous Soprano in the Astana Opera House and his Dad is a Pop Singer / Producer. Dimash sings like both of them! Dimash was winning piano competitions at the age of 5 and he also started singing at that age too when it was found he had perfect pitch (he was already tuning pianos!) and was trained by the best vocalists in his country, attending music school full time from that young age. He still has 3 hours vocal training classes every day. He has two BA degrees in Vocals, Opera and Contemporary/Jazz, also a masters degree in Composition where he received a perfect score of 100%, he’s currently in his second year of a Doctorate in Musicality. He plays 7 instruments (every bit as well as he sings!) and he’s an excellent composer and arranger. He has also produced one of his music videos recently (and he’s excellent at that as well)! He’s a very humble, respectful and kind person, who still lives at home with his family and his extended family. He calls his fans Dears, because we are very dear to him!
