The thing I hate about this video is that Marc is taking all the attention away from Herman an Sam's epic soloing.

Agreed. Fury of the Storm (from this same set) is the one to watch for the solos. Marc takes a back seat during that one!

such a fantastic performance but I never understood why they had to do the crowd participation during Hermans epic solo in the end :(

@@jonnygoesrocK don't forget Sam. The dude not only keeps up with Herman, that solo section is a call and response. They go back and forth trading 8 bars (maybe 16 at that tempo lol) Herman is amazing. But he's part of a team. And that whole production is what we see.

That is Herman Li - and it was the whammy bar he picked his guitar up by. The other guitarist is Sam Totman. They wrote the guitar arrangements for a song called 'Road of Resistance' .... for BABYMETAL. They also played on the studio album version. They said they wrote that to be possibly faster and more technical than a lot of their own songs thinking they would never have to play it live. At an awards show in London in 2015 they were asked to play it live with BABYMETAL, so had to practice hard before that happened. Herman li the guitarist whom you keep pointing out his bridge on the guitar was designed with him lifting it up in mind it’s called the zero g bridge the ring on his finger is also called a hot hands ring it’s for his guitar effects like wah and stuff it can be set for big motions or smal picks during there song hero’s of our time he pulls his hand way from the guitar shaking it to create his wah

11:27 he knees it to try to break a string. He said it never worked. In the studio recording at that part he broke a string and you can hear it, it sounded so amazing and perfect that he tries to break it live at that part too by kneeing the guitar but as he said it never worked, but he still tries.

The ring is called Hot Hand and it is a tremolo device that adds extreme vibrato to whatever notes/chords Herman Li plays! All he needs to do is shake his hand vigorously and it automatically adds the vibrato to whatever he is playing at the time. Also, BOTH Sam Totman and Herman are using a floyd rose locking nut and bridge so they can grab the whammy bar and get those insane screams or do outrageous dive bombs without worrying about guitars going out of tune or strings snapping! Also, if you DO wanna see what the Hot Hand (ring thingie lol) sounds like then here is one of their other totally EPIC songs called "Heroes Of Our Time" where you can clearly see when Herman Li uses the hot hand by shaking his hand vigorously and the sound that it creates when he does so?! If u want to him use the ring, see "heroes of our time" or "the last journey home" thats two of the most ring used songs (sorry if my english is bad, i native spanish)

bro that ring is called hot hands you can play without touching the frets cause it reads the fingers movement in the air.

make sure to give the original version with zp theart on vocals a listen. dont get me wrong, marc is an amazing singer, but the song imo is better with thearts more gritty vocals.

REACTO TO FURY OF THE STORM LIVE

No one seems to care about the drummer. Who not only is going insane the whole time He's wearing a mic. Harmonizing while doing blast beats and double patterns above 180 BPM during the chorus. Try it sometime drummers. Get up to that speed. Then start belting out high notes while you do it. One of the most physically exhausting things ever. Give Gene WAY more money and attention please.

This used to be one of my favourite songs. Unfortunately I saw DF live at the RockHarz Festival a few years ago, and they were totally out of tune, through the whole gig. Sad. :( They can be great though.

BTW: had seen them serveral times live before and they can be really good live! RockHarz seems to have been a sad point in their carreer.
