Music Teacher Reacts: DRAGONFORCE - Through The Fire and Flames
While I know the song well, this will be my first time dissecting the way that I do. My editor is in love with this band and has been begging me to react to them and here we are.
Sending Love,

The only thing that hurts my feelings is that there's 2 mins of solos missing. This song and operation ground and pound live are also super fun to watch cause these guys are all epic

Fun is how I tend to describe Dragonforce. Their lyrics are cheesy as hell, but they're all incredible musicians and the songs are just fun to listen to. I could be in a terrible mood then listen to a few Dragonforce songs and that cheers me right up.

Nice to hear you speak so well of Dime. I went to Jr High with Phil Anselmo (Clifton L Ganus in New Orleans). He got kicked out after a few months (LOL), and went to a different school. After getting out of the Military, I moved back home and hooked up with Phil at a bar called Kagan's on Decatur St (French Quarter). That night he had Dime with him and we sat and drank all night. HAHAHA Dime was ALWAYS very cool every time we saw each other. His brother was awesome as well (RIP Vinnie). The late 1980s till about 1997 was the absolute best time to live in the French Quarter. EVERYBODY lived there and EVERYBODY was like family: Perry Farrell, All of Marilyn Manson, Trent Reznor, Lenny Kravits, and a ton more. Phil didn't live in the quarter as his family owned an Italian Restaurant and he lived by them. Damn I miss those days (beating GG Allin unconscious with a mic stand LOL) Meeeeeeeemoreeeeeez! SHOUT OUT TO THE REMAINING "Alchoholic Sluts" (KISS Cover Band). Hey Glen if you see this!

that's because he uses the whammy bar to make the Pac Man noise, it was always kind of a mystery to me in the music video because he's not actually shown doing it on camera (that part is simply all black for some reason) but he still throws away the whammy

After I rediscovered the brutal beauty of black metal, now I'm into the bright power of power metal. So, I'm watching this video, and you said watch a video from Nevermore. Man, I MUST THANK YOU. Herman and Sam actually wrote the guitar section of "Road of Resistance" for BABYMETAL. They made it super technical and said they were so happy it wasn't one of their songs and they'd never have to play live, but then they played it at least once with the girls from BABYMETAL at some awards show in England, I believe. I know I've seen the video of it on here somewhere. They probably needed a bit of practice to get it down since it was at least a year or two after they originally did it that they were playing it again, but as I recall they had no issues. This song is just so good and fun. A straight up power metal song you can rock out to, and I have! Never played it on Guitar Hero (never put enough time into the game to get to that point), but I can imagine it was insane to attempt!

Operation ground and pound next or Heroes of our time ? Some stuff from the newer singer a d drummer as well you should really check out . If you like lots of lead guitar and keytar, Sonata Arctica. Unlike most fans, I won't tell you where to start because every persons' music journey is different. Look for Wacken, For The Sake of Revenge Live and Live in Finland. They have music videos on their channel and tour documentaries. They've been around 25 years this year being their 25th Anniversary. They've had lineup changes. The 1 major 1 that so-called fans haven't moved on from being Jani despite it being over 15 years ago. Jani is in Insominum and Omnium Gatherum and The Dark Element. Tony the lead singer goes hiking with Tuomas from Nightwish.

Okay, you’ve reacted to the original. Now your next stop should be two young phenoms who did covers of this song. The first would be Tina S on guitar. She was a young teenager covering this on guitar and she actually did both guitar solos simultaneously. Herman Li finally reacted to her cover and his reaction was “OH SHIT!” The second one to watch is a young drummer named Junna who did the drum cover of the same song. Dragonforce drummer reacted to her and his jaw was dropped and he grinned from ear to ear. He also acknowledged Junna’s cover as his favorite. Junna even included a nod to Sam drinking his soda. She is a thunder ball of energy and very entertaining to watch. You won’t be disappointed with Tina S or Junna!

Interesting fact - with the song, Herman actually broke one of his strings - but the band still rolled with the recording and used it in the album. So the ending of this song is like 99.99% impossible to recreate (not going to say 100, as I bet somebody will manage it one day). Either way - all these years later, it may be a meme on the internet - but it doesn't stop it from being an awesome track.

You should know better than to think a random, seemingly disgusting ice cream flavor doesn't exist: Miami ice cream shop Dasher & Crank sells an ice cream that's not only _flavored_ with salmon, it's made with actual salmon! 🤢 Or at least, they were selling it as of a year ago...
