If you pitch shift a whole recording all those frequencies will be shifted too. I agree with the temperament and you are absolutely on point, delightful video! But I just prefer 432Hz concert pitch and who thinks this is rubbish, we are not alone, there is for example the 432 Chamber Orchestra by Ivan Yanakiev and the results are wonderful. But that's my opinion, it just feels better. And no I haven't found evidence after extensive search so I won't claim anything. It has to be noted that concert pitch would vary a lot and I don't know who liked which concert pitch better, they are just rumours, haven't looked for solid facts.

I agree. 432 Hz tends to attract an audience of quackery. There's nothing inherently special about it. Harmonics, the inner Universe...run far away from that. However, if you have perfect pitch, music in 432 Hz, or anything significantly different from 440 for that matter, will sound a bit different. It can initially be very disorienting to listen to period Mozart or Chopin for example, where concert A is somewhere in between 415 and 440.

To the layman, theres nothing "special" about it...

Maybe its cause youre well accustomed to the demonizing sound of A440. I much prefer A435 french or even Verdis A432. But to each his own🙆‍♂️

I take issue with the fetishisation of 432, not the pitch itself, and the demonology of conspiracy theorists apparently of Hitler introducing 440. 440 was present for much of the 19th century, documented in Stuttgart in 1839. 435 was the standard pitch adopted widely but the rise of concert hall temperatures brought it higher. In Britain 439 was considered as a standard for a long time.
