Music @ The Royal London Hospital - Songs on the theme of "Hopes & Dreams" by the Hackney Songbirds

Coming back to the hospital after a seven-month absence, The Hackney Songbirds returned to produce an energetic programme of popular songs for the enjoyment of all who heard them sing. Musical director Gina Fergione inspires the group and encouraged just the right spirit of joyful performance that was an infectious tonic to anyone who may have been having a bad day; and all was impeccably held together by Lucy Myers on the piano.
The songs (in no particular order) were:
You're welcome!, Fly me to the Moon, I Dream of San Marino, Hernando's Hideaway, Those Were the Days, If I Ruled the World, Sister Suffragette, I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, Any Dream Will Do, Climb Every Mountain, and Somewhere Over the Rainbow (recorded here).
The Hackney Songbirds have their own website here: www.hackneysongbirds.com/
New singers are always welcome to join the choir; details are on the website.
