Although offered a position at the Astana Opera, he decided to carve out his career in contemporary music, mixing classical elements and traditional Kazakh music with pop music.[7]
He gained significant popularity in Kazakhstan and other post-Soviet countries in 2015 upon becoming the Grand Prix winner of Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, Belarus.[8] He rose to fame in China with his participation as a "wildcard competitor" in Hunan TV's Singer 2017 (Chinese: 歌手2017)[9] finishing second overall.

I am 70 years old, and an avid music lover of all genres. I am so glad to be alive to have discovered Dimash, I agree with many of the profesional singers, vocal coaches and opera singers who say that Dimash is not only the best male vocalist alive, but truly of all history. What other vocalist has his range, nuances, style, passion and artistry-I can’t think of any. Most singers stick to one or two genres for which they are famous. Dimash has videos that are operatic in style, rock, blues, rap, ballads, folk, ethnic, world music, you name it. He also sings in 15 languages and plays 7 instruments. Dimash has 2 Masters Degrees, one in Classical and Contemporary Voice, and one for Composition. He has recently received a PhD in Musicology. My head spins with all of his accomplishments at such a young age.

That last ridiculously difficult run was 24 seconds on a single breath! He's an alien! I wish you let the video run to the end to see how humble and appreciative he is of the band. His fans are super devoted to him not just because of his once in a lifetime talent, but because he's a fantastic human being too. I call him the anti-diva. He's the opposite of the self-absorbed and selfish artist that we are so familiar with in the West.

His family values are the highest they cud be loving, caring, ready to give more do more be more without any big headlines. So so generous. I strongly recommend you watch the New Wave "trilogy" - Stranger, Fly Away and Ave Maria, a vocalise written specifically for Dimash by Kutroy. He was 25 in 2019 which I think was the year of this performance at the concert for the New Wave Competition in Sochi. He will be 28 in May this year. His extensive training and practice is 3 hours per day, so far about 20,000 hours, plus breathing training by underwater swimming for an hour per day when possible, as he travels a lot for concerts, etc. It is assumed by millions of fans/Dears from more than 140 countries that he is the best singer of all time. He became internationally famous in 2017 when he sang SOS in the I Am Singer competition in China as their first international competitor put in to fill a spot, and expected to not get past two events in the 3 month competition. He sang the first song on the first night and broke Chinese internet with 12 million views overnight, waking up to having guards outside his door who accompanied him for the duration of the competition. You had to be Chinese to win because of the prize, but he got to be runner up. This is on KZread. You have just discovered a man of destiny that has been placed to fix the use of musical frequencies in the world, as Hollywood has contaminated it all over the last 80 years. His sounds heal depression in some clinics now, and fans also claim to get some degrees of healing from frequently listening to his wonderful endless collection of songs and concerts. Greetings from Australia.

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), on the 7th of March 2020. Surprised that you missed the 24 second run at the end full of riffs and runs, was all on one breath. In this performance he was 24, he is now 27, almost 28 in 24th May. At age 5 Dimash began to take piano and vocal lessons at the children's studio of Aktobe's Akhmet Zhubanov Music College. At the age of six, in 2000, he won the national piano contest Aynalayin, in Kazakhstan. He later attended Gymnasium No. 32 in Aktobe. Dimash went on to complete a Broadway Musical master class in 2009. In 2014, he graduated in Classical Music with Major in Vocal (Bel Canto) from the Music Institute of K. Zhubanov University in Aktobe and began his studies in Contemporary Music (Jazz, Pop) at Kazakh National University of Arts in Astana, where he graduated with Major in Vocal on 27 June 2018. On 18 June 2020, he graduated from the same university with a Master's Degree in Composition by defending his Master's thesis with a perfect score 100%, and receiving a recommendation for admission to doctoral studies in music. He is now writing his thesis (dissertation). He is also a multi instrumentalist he plays several instruments, he dances well, is a charismatic entertainer and at his legendary solo concerts regularly drives his fans wild with his more contemporary songs. He models, is brand ambassador for many of the world's best brands, has his own brand French perfumes and colognes. He is and always will be an independent artist as he needs complete freedom to choose his own musical path in the world. He is phenomenal and will be a major world star, he already is in the Eastern parts of the planet, and in South America he has a huge following, now his fan base is growing rapidly in the rest of the world. He has fan clubs in most countries, and his army of fans he calls Dears, is one of the biggest and most respected in the world. This young, humble, respectful and modest man is going to take over world music in the years to come, in all genre from Opera to Rap he does it all 💖

Dimash has trained in classical singing since age 5 (national music academy), but he has also learned pop methods. You'll notice that he purposely chose that deep classical sound sometimes, a pop mixed belt sometimes and then that high soprano falsetto. And a few times he picked a tone between the classical "bel canto" and a pop sound. He can shade in as much as he wants on any note. Then he went and did that traditional Kazakh lament (turkic/arabic style) in the middle before the twangy high lift and descending jazz runs. Even the jazz runs were not western sequences but instead turkic style. That's a lot of different stuff coming together in one song. The band wrote the song in 1998 when Dimash was 4. They are also from Kazakhstan - A-Studio.

You’ve seen nothing yet. That last amazing note lasted 23 seconds on 1 breath. Dimash has a 7/8 octave range and can switch from one octave to another with no problems infact it’s easy for him, he plays multiple instruments, he sings in 15 languages and is THE loveliest most humble young man on earth, he treats us Dears (his fans) like gold. He sings from rap to opera. Please start at the beginning and go to the singer show in China that is a singing contest for already established singers, start with Sos, opera 2, adagio, all by myself (Celine Dion), show must go on (queen),autumn strong and hello (Lionel Richie) you won’t be disappointed Dimash is THE best singer on the planet

Dimash began his classical/operatic vocal training at age 5, and continued fulltime classical vocal train until age 25, but still goes to his vocal coach if he is having any issue. This vocal coach also trained the mother of Dimash, Aveta. Later he also trained in contemporary vocal skills. When he combines them, which he usually does, he makes what is called popra vocals. He also plays 7 instruments including the two stringed Dombra, the National stringed instrument of Kazakhstan, his homeland. Technically, I am pretty sure he is the best in the world. He just completed a short European tour, usually just a couple of days behind Avi Kaplan's European tour. I hope you continue to reacting to him. You might find him singing Opera, Michael Jackson, Lionel Richey... He is phenomenal.

I found Dimash in 2017 when he was on a Chinese singing competition called Singer. You can see all of his performances on KZread. He was 22 and the only non Chinese in the competition. He came in second. These were professional singers ranging in age from 30-60. All were well known in China. I’ve been watching and listening to Dimash since then. When I think he can’t do anything else to surprise me…he does it again. Ave Maria, Stranger, Show Must Go On, Olympico(Arnau concert), Adagio(Singer competition), Love is Like a Dream(the one where he is wearing a purple suit), and it goes on and on. I hope you will continue down the Dimash rabbit hole. His Dears(what he calls his fans)love watching someone new go through this experience. I’m 77 and Dimash is the best singer I’ve ever seen or heard. Bev

You have barely even begun to scratch the surface of Dimash's talent and ability. He has continued to hone his skills and to fine-tune and perfect his already unbelievable abilities even more. There does not seem to be a limit to what he can achieve vocally. I am excited to follow his journey. Dimash will possibly go down in history as the greatest vocal talent known to man. I cannot think of anyone, past or present, capable of doing what Dimash is capable of. I am still waiting on someone to name a single individual even remotely close to Dimash's mastery. If you want to follow Dimash's career progression over the last five years, here is a song list I usually recommend in semi-chronological order: S.O.S. (d'un Terrien en détresse), either the Slavic Bazaar or the 2017 "I Am A Singer" version. His covers from the same competition of Lara Fabian's "Adagio," Eric Carmen's 1975 "All by Myself" (repopularized by Celine Deion), and Freddie Mercury's "The Show Must Go On." Also, from the same show, Confessa & Diva Dance, Opera 2, Daididau, Daybreak, and Autumn Strong. His "I Am A Singer" 2018 guest performance of Lionel Richie's "Hello" is a must. Then there is Sinful Passion (Greshnaya Strast), Love is like a Dream, Your Love, Olimpico (Ogni Pietra) from Igor Krutoy's channel, Diva Dance (Bastau Concert), Across Endless Dimensions (either the movie trailer or his internet live concert performance), and Know (both the regular performance as well as the vocalise). His more operatic-sounding performances are Ti Amo Cosi (with Lara Fabian and Aida Garifullina), Ulisse (Duet w/Aida Garifullina), Tu Vas Me Détruire (duet w/Sundet Baigojin), Question of Honour (duet w/Zarina Altynbayeva), and the aforementioned Olimpico (Ogni Pietra). His traditional and Chinese songs are also impressive: Adai+Daididau, Samal Tau (2020 Tokyo Jazz Festival), Qairan Elim (Holy Land), Elim Menin (My Homeland), Karagym-ai, Thousand of Miles - A Common Dream, and Ómir Óter. And then there are Drunken Concubine & Diva Dance (duet with Li Yugang), Without You, Love Of Tired Swans, Where Love Lives, Unforgettable Day (Gakku Concert), I Miss You, Passione, Give Me Love, Marigold, Golden, Mademoiselle Hyde, Screaming, his latest music video "Be With Me," just to name a few. His latest songs, "Fly Away," "Stranger," and "Ave Maria," recently debuted live at New Wave 2021, and the latter two are on a whole new level. Dimash performs an alternate version of "Stranger" on the "Shine! Super Brothers S2" Youku Show that is simply mind-boggling and well-worth checking out. Here is the link: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ppyWycppoazZk6w.html Dimash also recently released "Ikanaide,'' performed during the 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival live stream, which is absolutely incredible. He sings in nearly flawless Japanese. Avoid any performance from "The World's Best." The show in L.A. was utterly disgraceful. The production team edited and cut all of Dimash's performances down to 2 minutes and cut out his Kazakh song for no reason. In the finale, he was set to compete against 2 kids; one girl from his home country of Kazakhstan, Daneliya Tuleshova- who was 12 yrs old then, as well as a 12-year-old boy from India playing the piano who would go on to win the competition's $1 million grand prize. Even before Dimash committed to appearing on the show he had told the production team that he would not compete against children as this is considered dishonorable in his country and because he has been professionally trained for 20 years; hence it would be unfair. So when Dimash announced before the final that he was leaving the competition, the show's producers and judges showed him a lot of disrespect, especially Ru Paul. The available footage was deceptively edited to present the show's producers and judges in the best possible light. His fans in attendance got pretty upset over the treatment he received during his first major appearance in the USA. Here is the link to a video of two fans who were in the audience for all the performances during the taping of the show. They describe what they witnessed and experienced first-hand: (kzread.info/dash/bejne/ioWbpax7nrXchs4.html).

You've been Dimashified. Welcome to the world of Dimash. You've just scratched the surface of what Dimash is capable of. Looking forward to more Dimash reactions. Sinful Passion was originally written and performed in 1998 by a Russian-based Kazakh band called A-Studio. They accompanied Dimash for this performance and at the end of the video, he humbly thanked them. The gentleman in white who gave him a standing ovation is Igor Krutoy, a famous Russian composer, who's written several amazing songs for Dimash. The interesting vocal style Dimash used towards the end of the song is called a vocal trill which is a classical technique and is the least familiar of the vocal manoeuvers. A singer with an even, rapid trill is a rarity. The director of the Rossini Opera Festival, Alberto Zedda has opined in an interview that the "widespread technical deficiency", the inability to trill, is a source of "frustration and anguish". Dimash modified the traditional vocal trill by adding a Yakuti yodel technique as well as an Arabic maqam which is a system of oriental scales, melodic phrases and ornamentation techniques. He did it all to perfection. It’s wonderful that he’s introduced these classical and oriental techniques into a pop song for the benefit of the non-classical world. FYI, do NOT react to any of the World's Best performances. They lied to Dimash and treated him very shabbily and disrespectfully at the end. All the Dears (that's what he calls his fans) refuse to watch any of those episodes. Instead, you can react to the Singer 2017 performances. PS. You might get blocked for some of the videos especially, Dimash's Stranger 2021 performance. So you’ll need a way to avoid that.

Thank you for your reaction! Dimash’s talent is mind blowing 🤯 A'Studio was invited by Igor Krutoy to participate (individual concert) in the 2018 edition of the New Wave festival. Igor Krutoy, the man in white shirt giving his standing ovation, invited Dimash to participate in this festival in the same year. "Sinful Passion" was created in 1998. This is how the song was performed, exactly in the 20th anniversary of this song. It speaks of greater love, greater loss, greater despair, greater desire, greater passion. The loss or lack of this love, in Dimash's interpretation, has the dimension of a loss of life, which one is very anxious to restore. In place of the original purely pop instrumental part (inserts), Dimash included (after the last chorus) his vocalize, a stylized onomatopoeic (like a lament) eastern ornament and the words "дай мне, дай" (give me, give me) with a 23-second melismatic on the last syllable, which is not a simple substitute for a pop musical theme, but an extension of the story sung earlier in words. ❤️🎤🔝🌹🌹👏👏👏

Excellent analysis and thank you for pointing out how much hard work he has had to do to get to this level. As far as songs go, you really can't go wrong, but I love Samaltau, Stranger, and Love is Like a Dream. Just understand that he sings in many different genres, so don't be surprised if you pick a song that is a Michael Jackson inspired song or a song with some Kazakh rap. Many reactors have problem with copyright, so they open blur the video or put some effect over it. They also have to pause it often. May I suggest a couple of things when reacting to Dimash: 1) always rewind a few seconds after you have paused for a comment.otherwise you may miss some subtle things he does and/or not get the full effect. 2) always watch his videos to the end so you can see his character when he makes little speeches and/or thanks the band, 3) always turn on subtitles whenever he is speaking. Welcome to the wild ride that is Dimash!

There are various nicks for Dimash running amid his Fans (called: "Dears"). I think the most popular amid Spanish-speaking "Dears" is "El/Nuestro Príncipe Kazajo" (= The/Our Kazakh Prince). Another less used nick is "El/Nuestro Angel Kazajo" (= The/Our Kazakh Angel). I'm curious to know what other nicks may be running amid English-speaking Dears? I've seen: "The Alien/E.T." so far. Thanks and Greetings (from Argentina)

I've never heard a voice with such range and polished broad training as Dimash. Savant. He was beamed down to us to set the all time vocal standard. Another young alien on loan to us from the ether is Diana Ankudinova and Renchenka is one of her best.

They are called Generation Di. - Dimash, Daneliya Tuleshova and Diana Ankudinova. One of the most famous hits of the king of rock 'n' roll in an unrivaled gorgeous, phenomenal performance by Diana Ankudinova ( 18 y.o.) Can’t Help Falling in Love (Elvis Presley / DARK VERSION cover) Please react to Diana Ankudinova ! Meet the singer with the most unique voice (dramatic contralto with polyphonic overtones), reactors call her the goosebump queen. "Together with her tessitura, it identifies her potential voice type as dramatic contralto, the deepest, darkest, and most powerful contralto voice." (Wikipedia about Diana)

Dimash has been training his voice since the age of 5 and it shows. Yes, he is classically trained. He is the vocal master. In my opinion (and many others) he is the goat. There aren't enough great adjectives to describe this awesome talent. Please react to SOS which is the song he is most well known for and it's even more mind blowing than the song you just heard. Thanks for the reaction and take care. I'll be waiting for the next Dimash reaction. :)

@@bobcieslinski You also need to see "War and Peace" Kyiv concert in Ukraine 2020, very EPIC performance with English Lyrics the "Dears" added to the video clip in large print, so you know the poetic words of the song. And the background videos of war and children add to the emotion of the song. Great music and percussions for the song. He also wrote this song himself.

De mosh. = vocal god. Things for you since you are brand new to Dimash. 1. every single note out of his mouth is perfection, so be careful on when you pause, and 2. rewind a few seconds so you don't loose the feel of the song. 14 different languages he sings in, is fluent in 4, plays 6 different instruments and has a 7.5 octave reach with 2 semitones. You and I will never hear a more perfect voice . He sings in almost every genre of music too. And last, to see how humble and nice of a person he is, its always good to run the video after he stops singing., Had you with this one, you would have seen what I and most people LOVE about Dimash. if you continue with following him I will sub to follow you down this path. Thanks for the genuine reaction and you breakdowns of Dimash. You have about another 170+ songs, all will shock you
