Nice to see this performance of Paco on a British tv show.Bulerias are often played with hand clapping percussion and even a second guitar for rythm.Paco was playing since he was a child and did some flamenco recordings at 11,12,13 years old backing his brother Pepe on vocals. He never learned to read music,so when he recorded Manuel de Falla´s or Rodrigo´s music with a symphonic orchestra he learned his parts by ear. What a musician!

Check out the "Friday night in San Francisco" recording of Paco de Lucia playing with John McLaughlin and Al di Meola - 3 guitars instrumental. Also check out the recordings of El Camarón de la Isla, a Spanish singer who performed with Paco in his band. As this video is about the Bulerias, it would be nice to experience what happens when there's a band of, say, two guitarists and a few hand clappers plus a singer. The other famous Spanish guitarist i this band was nicknamed Tomatito.
