When I was younger, my brother practiced his guitar in his bedroom in the evening. I would fall asleep to that pleasant, soothing sound. This has a similar effect on me.

This brought on silent tears when I listened .I'm hanging on by my fingernails in my loneliness.

As someone who loves quiet, relaxing music, this is very nice, as someone who plays guitar, that’s way too many strings! Idk how many there are, but it’s more than 6, and on anything that’s guitar shaped, that’s too many for comfort 😭

i'm not lute expert, but it looks to be about 22 total strings, but 10 of those are played like you would a 12 string guitar, and play 2 of the strings at a time, so its more like 12 strings!

Good baroque lutes have to be ordered directly from the lute maker. And even if you have a good one, it is extremely difficult to master. You have to allow 10 to 20 years.

Thank you very much for this beautiful piece. Can you please provide your thought process of calling it European Lute? It is my understanding that Lute is a Mideastern instrument.

Thanks, I use Audio-Technica AT4033A. It has a gold vaporized diaphragm and records fine nuances well (but also the slightest inconsistencies...).
