Museo Nazionale del Bargello Florence Italy part 2
The Museo Nazionale del Bargello is housed in the oldest public building in Florence and today displays the world's most important collection of Italian Renaissance sculpture The museum houses masterpieces by Michelangelo, such as Bacchus, Pitti Tondo (or Madonna and Child), Brutus and David-Apollo. His collection includes Donatello's David, Amore-Attis and the Tabernacle of St. George, Vincenzo Gemito's Pescatore ("fisherman boy"), Jacopo Sansovino's Bacchus, Giambologna with his Mercury, the Della Robbia family. Bargello a fost deschis ca muzeu național ( Museo Nazionale del Bargello ) în 1865, prezentând cea mai mare colecție italiană de sculpturi gotice și renascentiste (secolele XIV-XVII).
